"What is this?" Ling Feng exclaimed in astonishment.

The clay statue looked at the jade skeletal remains and started laughing softly, "Kid, watch closely, it’s not every lifetime you’d get to witness such a divine miracle!"

The chains around the clay statue suddenly snapped apart, and it broke free from its restraints!

However, the clay statue was also heavily damaged, with deep black marks left where the chains had bound it.

The clay statue suddenly stood up from the ground, its petite form looking particularly comical, but at this moment, its eyes were bright and sharp, the black and white pupils staring intently at the jade skeletal remains floating in the air.

Then, the clay statue leapt up, leaving the place where it had knelt for a thousand years, and flew towards the jade skeletal remains.

At the very moment the clay statue and the jade skeletal remains made contact, a violent golden light burst forth between them, enveloping them both.

Ling Feng squinted as he watched all of this.

When the golden light faded, a lifeless clay statue fell to the ground, shattering into fragments. Ling Feng looked at the mud fragments on the ground, then back at the jade skeletal remains in astonishment, suddenly realizing something.

The jade skeletal remains in the air once again emitted a strong light; a pair of black and white pupils appeared at the position of its skull, staring down at Ling Feng below.

Then the jade skeletal remains slowly raised its arm, pointing at the rib in Ling Feng’s hand.

Ling Feng was startled, just about to throw the rib upwards when it slipped from his hand and flew towards the jade skeletal remains on its own.

The rib flew to the rib position of the jade skeletal remains, and at this moment, the jade skeletal remains were finally complete.

Then, the jade skeletal remains sat cross-legged in the void, its pupils emitting black and white light, as it shouted loudly:

"Heavens and earth, primal chaos, Qi of the Great Dao, come all, aid me in reconstituting my physical form!"

This voice radiated outwards from the jade skeletal remains as the center.

Immediately, from the surrounding mountains and rivers, oceans, and seas, a multitude of black and white auras flew over; some even passed through Ling Feng’s body, making him feel as though his entire body was being cleansed.

All that Qi of the Great Dao surged into the jade skeletal remains, and in less than a quarter of an hour, a vast amount of Qi of the Great Dao had gathered around the jade skeletal remains.

The black and white aura intertwined, creating an air of solemn majesty.

With the Qi of the Great Dao twirling around it, the jade skeletal remains’ body gradually grew veins and vessels, which, once fully enveloping the body, sprouted red flesh, and finally, hair.

At this point, the jade skeletal remains, or rather the clay statue, was completely reborn. A young man with half-black, half-white hair sat cross-legged in the void, eyes closed.

Ling Feng’s mouth hung open in shock, and even the Ancient Goddess Ling Yao, who had lived for an unknown length of time, was watching this resurrection phenomenon in astonishment.

...

Meanwhile, various forces from different regions.

An old man with white hair in a dark chamber slowly opened his eyes, muttering, "Who in the world possesses the power to mobilize such a vast amount of Qi of the Great Dao?"

The old man pondered for a long time before exclaiming in shock, "This black and white Qi of the Great Dao, could it be that fellow has returned?"

...

A peculiar man sitting on a throne watched the Qi of the Great Dao pass through his body, and chuckled lightly, "Such a rich Qi of the Great Dao, I can’t think of anyone else but that man with such power,"

The peculiar man stood up, exuding a majestic devilish qi, and summoned a little demon: "Have Chaos and the others look after things here for now,"

"An old acquaintance of mine has returned, I must go to the Tianyi Continent to see for myself,"

"Yes!"

The peculiar man transformed into a black Giant Dragon and flew out from the crater above.

...

In the Imperial Palace, an elegant man flipping through scrolls was suddenly startled, the scroll in his hands dropping to the ground as he looked at the surging Qi of the Great Dao outside the window, his eyes filled with endless brilliance.

"The black and white Qi of the Great Dao, humph, having committed heinous crimes in the past, had his divine soul and body sealed, and now he dares to return, so brazenly absorbing the Qi of the Great Dao to announce his presence to the world, truly presumptuous!"

The elegant man left the study, his body transforming into a ray of golden light, disappearing from the Imperial Palace.

...

The man suddenly opened his eyes wide, standing in the void and stretching his limbs. A powerful aura emanated from him, even Ling Feng felt a hint of threat.

"Hahaha, three thousand years have passed, I, Song Ruozhao, have finally returned!" he laughed arrogantly, his eyes looking terrifyingly sinister.

Then Song Ruozhao looked in the direction of the Daoist temple, his pupils slightly glimmering, and shouted with a thunderous voice:

"Long Qin! Your master has returned, if not now, then when!"

Ling Feng’s Divine Sense had already synchronized, capturing every movement of the Daoist temple. As Song Ruozhao’s words fell, the statue of the Taoist founder began to tremble violently.

Soon after, the clay statue burst apart, and a longsword flew out from within, shooting straight at Song Ruozhao in the air.

Song Ruozhao smiled, catching Long Qin Sword by the hilt, then placed it behind him. The sword floated behind him, bouncing left and right like it had encountered an old friend unseen for years.

Song Ruozhao slowly descended, smiling at Ling Feng, "Thank you. Without you, I don’t know how much longer I’d have had to kneel in the wind and rain cursing this damned sky."

Ling Feng, taken aback, said, "You’re welcome. Are you the Dao sect’s senior brother who committed great crimes back then?"

"It is indeed me. My secular name is Song Ruozhao, I’ve been expelled from the Dao Sect, so I don’t use my Daoist title anymore."

"What is going on then? That mountain gate... the weapon..." Ling Feng asked in confusion.

Song Ruozhao laughed heartily, "At that time, they used Nine Heavens’ Mystic Thunder to execute me, but only destroyed my physical body. My primordial spirit and skeletal frame were already trained to transcendence, so the skeleton would not decay for a millennium,"

"They knew they couldn’t completely kill me, so they used the Meteorite from Beyond the Heavens to forge this mountain gate, sealing my skeleton within, and crafted a clay statue using the thousand-year-old muck from Sunset Lake to imprison my primordial spirit within,"

"Hoping to seal me forever, but they didn’t expect me to be waiting all this time for a chance to resurrect. Today, I have truly succeeded. If those old codgers from back then knew, they’d probably burst with anger."

Ling Feng nodded thoughtfully, pointing at the longsword, "What’s the story behind this sword being placed in the statue of the Daoist founder?"

"It’s my long-time friend, Long Qin Sword, that accompanied me as I rose from weakness to become a prodigy of the Dao Sect. It’s the only weapon I’ve used in this life. Before my trial, I sealed it within that old guy’s statue,"

"Knowing that they certainly wouldn’t touch the statue of their most revered founder, Long Qin could remain there until the day of my resurrection!"

Ling Feng looked at the seemingly youthful peer before him, knowing he was actually an ancient monster who had lived for thousands of years, and couldn’t help but exclaim silently.

This guy’s strength is probably the greatest Ling Feng had ever seen since arriving in this world. Just the Great Dao Qi and sword aura he displayed earlier showed that not even ten Jian Mus could defeat Song Ruozhao.

Moreover, his physical form had already been reconstructed; his skeleton had been cultivated to a jade-like translucency, truly transcending the mundane.

"Young friend, you have done me a favor. I can satisfy three of your conditions, three conditions that do not harm me. Whatever requests you have, I can fulfill them for you,"

"If you want the world’s secret treasures, I will help you attain them. Even if you wish to kill the Human Emperor or the Demon King, I will ensure it is done."

Seeing Song Ruozhao’s confident smile, Ling Feng, although surprised, inexplicably felt that this man before him might indeed have the power to kill the Human Emperor and destroy the Demon King.

"No need, I have no vendettas with the Demon King or the Human Emperor, nor do I need you to kill them. If you insist on granting me those three conditions, I’ll accept them, but the whereabouts of Chao Yue absolutely cannot be counted among those three conditions,"

"This was agreed upon long ago, you can’t go back on it, and you must also tell me the truth from back then." Ling Feng said astutely.

Song Ruozhao laughed heartily, "Rest assured, I always keep my word. Hold on to the three conditions for yourself. Apart from that old guy back then, I haven’t owed anyone a personal debt in these Nine Provinces,"

"As for the story of Chao Yue and myself from back then, I will tell you everything..." Song Ruozhao’s smile grew deeper as he moved to the edge of the cliff, gazing into the distant void.

Ling Feng also moved to the cliff’s edge, standing side by side with Song Ruozhao.

"Young friend, step back a bit later. Though I know you are not weak, this is my personal vendetta, and it’s best if you don’t get involved." Song Ruozhao smiled.

"Hmm?" Ling Feng questioned in confusion.

"An old acquaintance is coming..."

Before Ling Feng could respond, a golden light flew from the distant clouds, aiming straight for Song Ruozhao’s head.

The Long Qin Sword flew out from behind Song Ruozhao, colliding with the golden light, emitting strong ripples. With Little Fei and Jin Gang’s protection, Ling Feng was not affected, but still felt a hint of threat.

The golden light transformed into a middle-aged man dressed in luxurious garments, glaring furiously at Song Ruozhao, his palm resting on Long Qin Sword, not yielding an inch.

"Do I, Song Ruozhao, have such great influence? To compel the Human Emperor to come from thousands of miles away for a meeting?" Song Ruozhao remarked calmly.

Ling Feng was shocked. This middle-aged man before him was actually the Human Emperor?!
