Chapter 301: Chapter 136: Nice Body? Too Bad You Met Boss Su
"Shuting, how many more orders are left to make?"
He Shuting didn’t even glance at her notebook. "Boss, I’ve been taking one payment for every dish you make! There’s only one left now!"
’I’m so clever!’
"After this one, we’re packing up!"
Su Chen quickly added more oil to the wok.
He’d discovered a very serious problem: he had vastly underestimated the true power of good food, and he’d also vastly underestimated people’s herd mentality.
No joke.
Of the people currently eating, more than half probably hadn’t even wanted to eat in the first place. They just saw how many people were waiting, so they squeezed in and insisted on buying a portion just to be part of the excitement!
But after trying it, they discovered it was actually pretty damn good!
So they started ordering a second portion, then a third!
That woman in blue had already fucking ordered twelve portions!
"You’re closing already, Boss?"
Su Chen cranked up the heat, flames flaring from the wok. "That’s right, we’re closing!"
Hearing this, the inner circle of customers immediately protested.
"Boss, I’ve been waiting for so long! Please, just make one more!"
"Yeah, Boss! I even skipped dinner just to eat your food. You have to make me a portion!"
He Shuting pointed at a large man in the crowd. "You’re lying! You clearly just ordered two portions!"
Everyone else turned to look at the man.
"What the hell! This dude had two portions and still wants more? Give someone else a chance!"
"Exactly! There are still plenty of people who haven’t had any yet. If you’ve already had two, get to the back!"
Su Chen’s head throbbed as he watched the customers. They showed no signs of leaving.
’I can’t do this. I really can’t.’
He’d come in a hurry today and wasn’t prepared.
He was averaging about one dish every six minutes. In roughly three hours, Su Chen had already made over thirty dishes!
He was only this exhausted because he was so underprepared!
If he had the four high-intensity stoves from his company, not only would he not be tired, but his cooking speed would be several times faster!
Even if he didn’t care about himself, he had to think about his employees.
Aunt Fang was in her fifties. Not only had she been busy all day, but now she’d been working nonstop with them this whole time!
It was completely unacceptable.
"I can’t go on," Su Chen said to the people by the truck’s service window. "Shuyu, give me a ride. The rest of you, wrap things up and get some rest. I’m really done for."
Then, Su Chen bolted from the food truck, forcing his way through the crowd of onlookers.
"Holy shit, I’ve never seen someone refuse to make money when it’s right there for the taking!"
"What a character. His skills are this good, business is this explosive, and he just packs it in whenever he feels like it? I’m fucking impressed! Hey, miss? Will you guys be setting up here again tomorrow?"
He Shuting picked up a megaphone—a little gadget Ling Shuyu had bought. "Alright everyone, please disperse! Our boss has already left. We’ll be back here tomorrow. Thanks for all the love, and see you then~"
No one paid any attention to He Shuting. Their attention was stolen by a loud shout from the crowd.
"Holy shit, you guys, look!"
Many people turned to look, only to see Su Chen hastily jump into a Mercedes-Benz. The car then sped off, quickly disappearing from sight.
"I knew it! Refusing to make easy money... so he’s just some rich kid out here ’experiencing real life’!"
"No way. What rich kid has skills like that? Maybe he earned that Mercedes by running this food stall!"
"Tsk, alright, let’s go, let’s go! I’m coming earlier tomorrow. That boss’s cooking is the real deal~"
Those who got to eat were all disappointed they couldn’t have a few more portions.
Those who didn’t get to eat were even more disappointed—they could only stand there, smelling the aroma and watching others eat!
But there was one person...
The woman in blue watched the Mercedes disappear around the corner.
’Was I a little too slow... Is he already a kept man?’
