Chapter 1128: The Failing Hypothesis.

After discarding the useless product, he started working on the version of it that could be a Major Dao. The time he needed for this attempt was shorter than the previous one since it only needed 11 units of commonality.

So the result of his work came faster than before. He was glad for this when he saw the final product.

When the 11th commonality was placed down, the three-dimensional structure collapsed. All of his effort to make the Major Dao went down the drain, making him glad that he didn’t have to wait a long time and effort for the failure.

"What am I missing?" he asked as he began working on the Minor Dao version. "According to my hypothesis, it should have worked."

"If the Cosmic Dao is a set of rules, Grand Daos would be a subset of rules of the Cosmic Dao, and Major Daos would be a subset of Grand Daos. Finally, the rules of Minor Daos would be a part of the set of Major Daos."

"From Cosmic Daos to Grand Daos, to Major Daos, and finally down to Minor Daos. So technically, the smallest piece of a rule in the Cosmic Dao should be enough to make a Minor Dao."

"The problem is that I don’t have all of the rules that make up the set of the Wisdom Cosmic Dao. I only have the set of rules that make up a part of the Wisdom Cosmic Dao called the Essence of Records."

"I am still missing a lot of rules for the set of the Wisdom Cosmic Dao. Therefore, I can’t be 100% confident that I have all the rules to make the Grand Dao version, Major Dao version, and Minor Dao version."

"With a quick calculation, I can tell that the probability that the information in the Cosmic Dao set I have is enough to make a Grand Dao will be highest. Then the probability of using that same piece of information to make a Minor Dao will fall over time."

"This is because the specific set of rules I need for subsequent ranks of the Dao gets smaller. So I need a more accurate set of smaller rules for the subsequent Daos, unlike the large array of general rules that cover different fields needed for the Cosmic Daos."

"Maybe this is why Heavenly Eye only has the Truth Pathway and the Seer Pathway, but no version of the Minor Dao," he said in enlightenment.

"The rules she has for the Truth Pathway have a lot in common with the Seer Pathway, but not for the Minor Dao. Or it could also be that she has the Minor Dao version but is hiding it. I wouldn’t be surprised at all," he said with a chuckle.

Then his voice became serious again as he said, "As for me, the rules I have for the Wisdom Cosmic Dao have a lot in common with the Truth Grand Dao, but not enough in common with the Seer Major Dao."

As he was soliloquizing, the Supreme Metac he was trying to make shattered when he placed the 7th commonality into it.

So he said, "I guess it is official. The rules I have for the Wisdom Cosmic Dao don’t have a lot in common with the Minor Dao either."

"But this is not the end. I still have the Hunting Form Metac and the Tracking Mark Metac to use to create a Supreme Metac. I’ll use them to try the Cosmic Dao, the Grand Dao, the Major Dao, and the Minor Dao versions."

"Then I will take every Supreme Metac of every pathway I have and begin using them to make Cosmic Dao, the Grand Dao, the Major Dao, and the Minor Dao versions. Finally, I will repeat the attempt with every Divine Metac."

"I have so much work to do," he said with a clap. "I don’t believe that I won’t stumble onto something with 23 pathways that I have."

It is true that Supreme Metacs are very difficult to make. He has ascertained that fact through experience.

One needs a particular level of mastery and skills to make the rules that will satisfy the Dao Source of a pathway. Relying on chance to get it right is a foolhardy experience. But this is only right for other Dao Lords.

Other Dao Lords have a small number of pathways that they are familiar with and can work with. Their bucket of tricks is limited, so they have many resources to use to try fishing for Supreme Metacs by luck.

Even the strongest Dao Lord with the highest potential can only have ten pathways. He, on the other hand, already has 23 pathways to work with.

Of these 23 pathways, 7 are Cosmic Daos, 12 are Grand Daos, 3 are Major Daos, and 1 is a Minor Dao. This is a large library of information, rules, and skills that he can combine in various ways to see if he can stumble onto the right combination for a new Supreme Metac.

Of course, this method of searching blindly will require a lot of time, effort, and lifespan, which is another thing that other Dao Lords don’t have a lot of. But he has a lot of lifespan and a hankering for more Supreme Metacs, so he doesn’t mind the massive work he has to do.

But before delving into this big undertaking, he wanted to sort out his current situation. The work he was about to do was technically endless, and he didn’t know how long it would take him, so he wanted to sort out some things before he got lost in his work.

The first thing he did was to check the 4-D prototype. He wanted to make sure that there were no problems with it that needed dealing with urgently.

When he looked into the spark of power, he saw that 17 cubes had been reinforced by 459 commonality and solidified by divine crystals.
