Chapter 1005: Moving Mountains and Filling Seas

Chapter 1005: Chapter 1005: Moving Mountains and Filling Seas

Shen Mo came to Dongjie Continent originally intending just to capture a Demon-corrupted True Dragon and refine a magic artifact, the Mountain-moving Whip.

After receiving an invitation from the Jade Spring Fairy, he decided to try to earn more cultivation merits by participating in the slaying demon formation at the northwest corner of the Demon Zone. The unexpected gain of the Earth Yuan Array was indeed a pleasant surprise; however, this surprise was even more important to him than earning cultivation merits!

"Qingyun, my young friend, here is a Fengshui map of the region spanning tens of thousands of miles, remember it well. If you encounter a Big Heavenly Demon beyond your power, just call out to me."

The Jade Spring Fairy’s fingertips released a strand of celestial light, which then transformed into a light map spanning tens of thousands of miles centered on the Earth Yuan Array, detailing locations of local Immortal Mountains, their scale, whether any creatures inhabit them, and the movements of Seventh-Order Great Demons.

Shen Mo swept through it with his sense, committing every detail of the Fengshui map to memory.

"Fairy, you should return to the formation to rest. In half a month, you’ll be busy again, so restore your Mana well, and when I return, we’ll drink heartily together!" Shen Mo waved his hand, setting up his escaping light to fly into the distance.

There were a total of five Earth Immortals involved in setting up the formation. Besides Master Jinguang, who was constantly stationed within the array, another Earth Immortal stayed to guard as a precaution; the remaining three Earth Immortals either went elsewhere to move Immortal Mountains or monitored Chunyang Zi’s movements in the heart of the Demon Zone, with a great expenditure of Mana and laborious efforts. Hence, one Earth Immortal would rotate monthly to stay behind to recover.

This month it happened to be the Jade Spring Fairy’s turn, who had been resting within the Earth Yuan Array for half a month and would once again labor to perfect the grand array in another ten days or so.

Otherwise, upon learning that Shen Mo intended to refine the Mountain-moving Whip, the Jade Spring Fairy wouldn’t have invited him to participate in the formation. Although the Mountain-moving Whip moves earth-veined Immortal Mountains at a slower speed than them, it consumes much less. In the future, whether Chunyang Zi chooses to fight or flee, the Earth Yuan Array must eventually be fully set up to refine the demonic primal intent of the heavens and earth, providing Shen Mo ample space to showcase his skills!

...

Following the Fengshui map, Shen Mo spent several days finally locating a suitable Immortal Mountain.

To arrange the Earth Yuan Array, it was not a casual matter of picking any mountaintop; the mountain’s scale had to be appropriate, the shape of its roots and earth veins had to meet formation requirements, and there were other restrictive conditions as well. Finding a suitable Immortal Mountain required him to discern one out of a hundred carefully.

Otherwise, given the cultivation level of the Jade Spring Fairy and others, they wouldn’t have spent two to three months to relocate just nine Lower Grade Immortal Mountains.

The one Shen Mo selected was also named on the Fengshui map, called "Golden Butterfly Mountain," similar in size to Yinsu Mountain, meeting all necessary conditions. Moreover, located within the Demon Zone, there were no other creatures dwelling on it other than various sizes of Heavenly Demons, saving Shen Mo a lot of effort!

He did not use the Thousand Laws Karma Lotus Robe or the Soul Refining Flag, simply waving his hand to summon millions of Sword Light, slaying every Heavenly Demon on the mountain.

Then, he cast a spell wielding the Mountain-moving Whip, with a "crack," it struck upon the mountain body.

An earthquake-like tremor ensued, and what in the Lower Realm would be considered a main planet-sized mountain moved like a spinning top to a new location, appearing a thousand miles away in moments.

This thousand-mile distance was negligible compared to the vastness of the Immortal Mountain, akin to a huge stone’s slight shift. However, along the way, Heavenly Demons met disaster, being crushed into piles of mush and bones by the colliding Immortal Mountain!

"Driving this mountain to the grand array’s location will take at least a month and a half."

Shen Mo quietly estimated the progress in his heart, continually wielding the Mountain-moving Whip to drive Golden Butterfly Mountain, along with the earth veins, toward the northwest corner of the Demon Zone!

Along the way, numerous Class VI Heavenly Demons wielding Demon Clouds and Demonic Qi rushed toward him to attack, but with Shen Mo’s current power, unless faced with a Seventh-Order Great Demon, almost no Heavenly Demon could harm him in the slightest. An average demon would be slain with a single stroke of Demon Slaying Sword Qi, while the more troublesome ones would face the robes banishing all dharmas, followed by his Soul Refining Flag for refining.

A month and a half later, Shen Mo returned with Golden Butterfly Mountain to the Earth Yuan Array’s side, finding three additional Lower Grade Immortal Mountains within the array, further strengthening its power.

The Jade Spring Fairy had already left the grand array, replaced by a middle-aged woman Earth Immortal known from the local Dongjie Continent. Her temperament was entirely opposite to Master Jinguang, and when Shen Mo greeted her, she didn’t even lift an eyelid!

Unwilling to embarrass himself further, Shen Mo spoke briefly with Master Jinguang before departing on light.

As time passed, day by day, half a year later, Shen Mo had relocated five Immortal Mountains, while the other Earth Immortals had moved in twenty-four Immortal Mountains in total, raising the number of points within the Earth Yuan Array to fifty-one, leaving twenty-one Immortal Mountains short of reaching the Seventy-two Earth Fiends Magic.

"Senior Jinguang, even if I handle relocating the remaining twenty-one Immortal Mountains, I still won’t meet the number of thirty."

Noticing this concern, Shen Mo directly approached Master Jinguang, discussing the matter with him.

Master Jinguang smiled warmly: "I didn’t expect Chunyang Zi to be so patient. Young friend, don’t worry; I will keep my word, even if the array diagram is not needed, you’ll receive it once you move thirty Immortal Mountains!"

"Many thanks!"

Reassured, Shen Mo departed to continue his mountain-moving task, putting off previous plans to test a Seventh-Order Heavenly Demon.

However, just as he began moving the seventh Immortal Mountain toward the grand array, the entire Demon Zone seemed to boil over, with Demonic Qi surging wildly, the Demon Tide of Heavenly Demons, regardless of their Realm or strength, linked their energy, rushing towards the northwest corner in a rolling tide.

Shen Mo sensed six terrifying auras mixed within the Demon Tide, one of which seemed stronger than even Xuanyuan Tongzhen.

"It’s Chunyang Zi!"

Shen Mo furrowed his brows, immediately abandoning the idea of battling a Seventh-Order Heavenly Demon. Fights at the Earth Immortal and Divine Immortal levels were exceedingly dangerous for him, even with the Thousand Laws Robe and the Soul Refining Flag as protection, possibly forcing him to use Reverse Yin and Yang to escape back to the Green Cloud Cave.

Nonetheless, he didn’t plan to sit idly by. Identifying the positions of the Seventh-Order Heavenly Demons, he wielded the Soul Refining Flag to transform a million-li area into a world of the Blood River, trapping billions of large and small Heavenly Demons.

Chunyang Zi and other Big Heavenly Demons stirred the entire Demon Zone’s Heavenly Demons into a Demon Tide, certainly intending to clash against the Earth Yuan Array head-on. By eliminating more on his part, Shen Mo could alleviate some pressure off the Jade Spring Fairy and the others!

"I hope the Fairy and Senior Jinguang stay safe!"

Shen Mo thought quietly to himself, then urged the God Slaying Array constructed by billions of Demon Soul Generals, beginning the massacre of the countless demons engulfed within the Blood River World.

Meanwhile, at the northwest corner of the Demon Zone.

The Demon Tide amassed with countless Heavenly Demons crashed into the glowing Earth Yuan Array like a monstrous wave, instantly killing billions of large and small Heavenly Demons within the grand array’s span, with demonic primal intent surging like oceans, and soon countless Heavenly Demons filled the void once more!
