Chapter 2802: Chapter 2802: What Are You Shouting For? (2)
Yang Xiong lifted an eyelid: "Wan Qi, take it easy, or your eyesight will be even worse."
Wan Quan opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing. He’s wounded now, but he’ll challenge again once he’s healed.
Yang Ruxin stifled a laugh: "Hey Wan Qi, how come you’re this old and haven’t found a wife? You don’t have some illness, do you?"
"You’re the one with an illness." Wan Quan bristled.
"I’m not sick, I have a husband and kids." Yang Ruxin replied with a carefree look.
"You..." Wan Quan felt the conversation was going nowhere, so he simply leaned against the carriage wall to sleep.
Yang Xiong was delighted, finally some peace.
The rest of the trip was quite calm, and they quickly entered Baihua County.
Yang Ruxin couldn’t pay attention to anyone else; she directly galloped forward. She really missed her kids.
The Yang Family was busy preparing for the trio’s first birthday, a banquet was a must, and the items for the "birthday grab" had to be arranged.
Everyone engaged in lively discussions about both the banquet location and the birthday grab items.
Yong Cang used this occasion as a reason to stay longer.
Yang Ruxin arrived just in time for dinner.
The three little beans were sitting in their walkers, eating egg custard. Maybe it was maternal intuition, but as soon as she entered, they turned their heads in unison and all flashed "toothless smiles."
Yang Ruxin felt like her heart was melting at that moment.
"Mom!" Hei Dou suddenly shouted, loud and full of spirit.
Everyone was startled.
Yang Ruxin also stared wide-eyed for a long time before recovering: "Son, what did you just shout?"
But Hei Dou ignored her, instead pointing to the unfinished egg custard and patting the walker: "Egg."
Chun Hua quickly scooped a spoonful into his mouth, and the little guy munched happily.
Yang Ruxin touched her nose and then looked at Lun Dou and Huang Dou.
The two little girls merely grinned and chuckled, then turned back to their egg custard.
Everyone burst into laughter.
"Why do I feel unwelcome?" Yang Ruxin stood up straight, looking helpless.
"Just realizing that now?" Nian Qianqian pouted, "Why’d you come back?"
"Senior, are you implying I shouldn’t have returned?" Yang Ruxin frowned.
Nian Qianqian snorted twice, picking up each of the two little girls and taking them away, "Returning just to snatch the kids from me? Not like they welcome you, and neither do I."
Yang Ruxin awkwardly touched her nose.
The others continued laughing, because everyone knew Nian Qianqian cared about the two little girls even more than Zhang Changyang did. Even Changyangzi said if the three little beans had arrived earlier, he wouldn’t have had much to do.
Yang Ruxin felt gratified; the kids not clinging to her meant the family cared for them. Children understand what’s good, and they can’t hide their feelings.
She returned to her room for a comfortable sleep, and the next day she began preparing for the kids’ first birthday party, not at home but at the Quanshun Building in town, reserving the venue, inviting all willing villagers.
Gu Qingheng returned the day before the birthday party, and the kids were overjoyed seeing him, each wanting to be held and calling him "Dad," making Yang Ruxin quite envious.
"Honey, them calling me ’Dad’ isn’t as sweet as you calling me ’brother’." Gu Qingheng whispered softly as he approached Yang Ruxin.
