The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2936: Stop Pretending, You’re Here for Me, Aren’t You?

The flying boat sliced through the sky, swift and steady.

Carson Flores sat cross-legged on the flying boat, his expression calm as he focused on his cultivation practice.

Carradine sat at the front of the flying boat, steering it forward. She glanced back at Carson’s serene face with a complex gaze.

With the impending battle, Carson suddenly descended upon the Majestic Sect, becoming its new Sect Master.

He directly resolved the long-standing issue of resource management within the sect, which certainly could greatly boost the combat power of the sect’s disciples. However, once on the battlefield, the Majestic Sect’s mere thousand disciples would be like a drop in the ocean in such a fierce and majestic battleground. What fate awaits them?

Carson is a good person and has the attention of the Hall Master, but lacks some strength. In battle, wouldn’t he suffer too much loss?

If he encountered a Great Land Primordial Immortal level demon race head-on, wouldn’t the Sect Master be instantly defeated?

Just as Carradine was lost in thought, two beams of golden light suddenly emerged from the rear flank, directly blocking the front of the flying boat.

Startled, Carradine controlled the flying boat to stop and whispered urgently, "Sect Master, be careful!"

Carson opened his eyes from cultivation and saw the two men blocking the way ahead, his gaze narrowing slightly.

Carradine shouted, "Two fellows, why do you block our flying boat?"

A senior and a middle-aged man who blocked the flying boat, the elder asked in a deep voice, "We are searching for a severely wounded and nearly dying White Moon Beast. We pursued it to this place, but the aura suddenly vanished. Have you seen it?"

Carradine slightly relaxed her tension: "We are subordinates of the War God Mansion, returning to the sect after completing a task there, passing through here, and have not seen the White Moon Beast you mentioned."

The middle-aged man said coldly, "The White Moon Beast was injured by me, and I have placed a spiritual imprint on it. It simply cannot escape, yet here it has suddenly completely disappeared. It couldn’t possibly remove my spiritual imprint by itself, could it?"

Carradine growled angrily, "What do you mean, do you think we took the White Moon Beast?"

The middle-aged man sneered, "Feeling guilty, are we? I haven’t said anything, yet you admitted it yourself. Hand it over voluntarily, and this matter will be settled. Otherwise, hmph!"

Carradine angrily retorted, "Don’t falsely accuse us. We’ve never seen any White Moon Beast!"

The middle-aged man laughed heartily, "Really? Then do you dare let me inspect your space ring and see if there’s any White Moon Beast inside?"

Carradine sneered, "Dream on! You think you can demand to check my space ring with just one sentence? Who do you think you are?"

The middle-aged man’s tone suddenly changed fiercely, "If you dare not let us inspect, then you’re feeling guilty. Don’t blame us for being rude and conducting a forced inspection!"

Carradine instantly summoned her flying sword, shouting furiously, "If you dare, we are small team leaders of the First Legion of the War God Mansion. To attack us, do you disregard the War God Mansion?"

The middle-aged man laughed coldly, "Don’t flaunt your status. You’re just some lowly soldiers, thinking you’re powerful. Rest assured, we’ll inspect, and if there’s no White Moon Beast, naturally, we’ll let you go. I advise you not to resist, or you’ll be the ones getting hurt!"

Carradine replied coldly, "Want to check our space rings, you’ll have to kill me first, otherwise forget it!"

The middle-aged man glanced at Carradine, then Carson, speaking casually, "I’ll hold onto this woman, you capture that boy first, inspect him, then we can restrain this woman together..."

The elder replied succinctly, "Okay!"

Carson had been observing, and when the middle-aged man looked at him, Carson saw from his seemingly nonchalant expression an underlying focus, a deliberately hidden carelessness.

Was it to lull the two of us into complacency and lower our guard?

Carson’s mind quickly pieced everything together and coldly said, "You want to kill me, then come openly. Why the secrecy? Afraid of revealing your identity? Are you sent by the Compton Family or Cyras Roth?"

Carson spoke while staring directly at the two men.

Their faces showed no sign of shock, the middle-aged man snorted coldly, "I don’t know what you’re talking about; we’re just looking for our White Moon Beast."

Carson sneered, "Hall Master Carradine, be careful; they’re here for me!"

Their reaction seemed perfect, but the imperfection lies in its perfection!

If they were genuinely looking for the White Moon Beast, suddenly accused of being hired killers, they would surely be surprised, or at least ask what’s going on. However, they lightly denied it, isn’t that revealing?

Carradine’s face changed drastically, shouting fiercely, "Are you mad? You dare openly intercept and kill subordinates of the War God Mansion. Are you courting annihilation of your family?"
