The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard
Chapter 2925: Is There Something Wrong with Our Superior?
"Do any of you know those people?"
On the way back to the reception station, Carson Flores began to inquire about the origins of those people.
Earlier, although Yackey Decker and the others knew there was a ban from the War God Mansion against fighting within the city, they nevertheless decisively followed Carson Flores’ orders and took action. Carson Flores was very satisfied with this.
Soldiers should obey military orders. If they are hesitant on the battlefield, thinking back and forth, this team will lack combat power.
Yackey Decker and the other two exchanged glances, and finally all shook their heads.
Yackey Decker sighed, "There are too many strong Immortal Realm experts gathered here at the War God Mansion, along with too many powerful factions. Our Majestic Sect is in a remote area and rarely comes to the War God Mansion, so we don’t know many people."
Carradine softly said, "Sect Master, although we don’t know them, they must be prominent figures, known by many. Should I go and ask around?"
Seeing Carson Flores slightly hesitating, Carradine added, "Don’t worry. Asking about a few people is a small matter. I don’t even need to show up. Just offer some spirit stones, and it will be settled without causing trouble."
Carson Flores nodded, "Alright, go ahead and ask. We should at least know whom we’ve offended."
Yackey Decker and the others’ mouths twitched slightly. You’ve already offended them, and now you’re thinking about asking their identities?
Sect Master, you are truly bold!
Carson Flores and the others returned to the reception station, and it wasn’t long before Carradine also returned, looking somewhat solemn.
"The leader is called Cyras Roth, he is the grandson of the Second Army’s Army Commander, Brelan Roth, and another one is Brannock Bernard, grandson of the Deputy Corps Commander of the Second Army. The other two are also descendants of the Second Army’s high-level executives."
Carson Flores nodded, his expression calm as he asked, "Which legion does our Majestic Sect belong to?"
"The First Legion."
Carradine answered, "Among the various legions, the First Legion has the strongest combat power and often executes the most challenging tasks, facing the toughest adversaries."
Carson Flores asked, "What is the structure of our First Legion like?"
Yackey Decker explained, "A legion is structured around ten thousand soldiers. The legion is divided into ten combat squads, each consisting of one thousand soldiers, and each combat squad is divided into ten smaller squads. Our Majestic Sect is one such small squad. Once war breaks out, aside from a few who remain to guard Majestic Sect, the others form thousand-member combat squads and fight according to the orders of the Squad Captain."
Carson Flores inwardly clicked his tongue, "Ten legions, that’s a million people?"
These aren’t ordinary people, but a million immortals!
Carradine shook his head, "That’s not the case; each legion has different compositions and duties. The First to Fifth Legions are combat legions, focusing on assault and upfront combat. The Sixth to Tenth Legions have various duties, for example, the Sixth Legion is composed of Array Masters, the Seventh Legion of Artifact Refiners, etc. When combat starts, they each have different roles."
"Relatively speaking, the first five legions are for assault, while the latter five are more defense-oriented. Of course, in wartime, all the legions will certainly cooperate and support each other."
Carson Flores nodded, indicating his understanding.
In small conflicts, perhaps immortals from both sides would charge forward together, going all out and ending things swiftly. But the Immortal Demon War between two realms surely can’t be settled by sheer force alone, as combat power involves too many factors.
Not only immortals, but even Quasi-Saints on such a battlefield might find themselves quite insignificant, and if not careful, could meet with severe consequences, possibly even death.
"Who is the Army Commander of our First Legion, and what’s he like?"
Carradine answered, "The Army Commander of the First Legion is Saelin Murphy, nicknamed ’Mad Scholar.’ This is because while the commander is usually as elegant as a scholar, a gentleman with warmth, on the battlefield, he loves to lead the charge like a ferocious combat enthusiast. He once charged into a Demon Clan Camp single-handedly, coming back covered in blood with countless wounds great and small..."
Carson Flores’ eyes lit up, "Commander Murphy must be very strong?"
Carradine replied with pride, "Of course, there are many Quasi-Saints in the entire Crimson Immortal Domain, but Commander Murphy’s power definitely ranks in the top ten."
Carson Flores laughed, "Amazing! No wonder he can be the Army Commander of the First Legion."
Boyd said sincerely, "Commander Murphy is actually relatively young and not overly experienced. He fought his way to the position purely through his strength and command abilities..."
Carson Flores laughed, "Then it’s not too bad. We’ve offended the Second Legion’s young lords while we belong to the First Legion, at least we’re not offending the family of our direct superior, otherwise, we’d be doomed."
But Carradine did not laugh, her face still worried.
Carson Flores frowned, "What’s wrong? What’s with this expression..."
Carradine smiled bitterly, "The Army Commander is upright and strict in law enforcement, but he manages ten Squad Captains, so we never get to interact with him. We are governed by the Ninth Captain, Thaddeus Coffey..."
Carson Flores asked, "Is there a problem with this Ninth Captain, Thaddeus Coffey?"
