The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard
Chapter 2900: Not Afraid of You Bringing People, Just Afraid of You Bringing Bad Women!
The greatest burden is the favor of a beauty, not to mention there’s more than one world-class beauty.
Such a deep affection, a love where lives are exchanged, how could one not long for it?
Carson sent his father back to the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, reuniting the family briefly, before embarking on a journey to the Crimson Immortal Domain, with the hope of family reunion soon, wasn’t it?
Husband and wife as one, that’s what truly belongs to one’s own small home.
When love is deep, there’s no need to suppress it.
Even immortals are the same.
Between lovers, only the most primitive entanglements can truly alleviate longing and fully release it.
"Brother, can I ask you a question..."
Samantha lay in Carson’s embrace, her cheeks flushed, looking quite lovely.
Carson hugged Samantha and laughed, "What?"
Samantha giggled and said, "Cassiane and Nereida Nash are both women whom any man wouldn’t forget at first glance. You’ve spent so much time alone with them, and they obviously like you too. If you wanted, they definitely wouldn’t refuse you—which makes me curious how you’ve always managed not to act on that."
Carson laughed, "Are you hoping I would act, wishing for turmoil in the world?"
Samantha laughed, "Not really, just curious. As a woman, who doesn’t want a man to love her and only her? But they’re such beauties and even I feel moved looking at them, wishing to touch them a couple of times. How do you hold back?"
Carson grimaced, "Just holding it back, what else? One can’t be a slave to desires. There are so many beauties in the world, how could I have them all? End up with a Red Palace full of 3,000 concubines—am I becoming an emperor?"
Samantha blinked, edged closer, and stared into Carson’s eyes, "So Cassiane and Nereida Nash, are you really planning to always stay passive, never sleeping with them?"
Carson wasn’t hypocritical enough to deny it outright; he laughed, "We’ll see."
Samantha laughed, "We’ve been apart for decades this time; in our world, that would be a lifetime. Even upon reunion, it might become a tragic love story fit for film.
But in the Immortal Realm, among pathist couples, lovers separated by decades, even centuries, seems incredibly common. The time spent on cultivation stretches time so indefinitely—it’s said we haven’t seen each other for a long time, but actually, most of our days were spent in oblivious cultivation. Those years in between passed like fleeting white horses."
"The reason no one minds the number of women around you is partially because you’re ready to risk your life for everyone, and secondly, because of time; take Selah Ellison as an example—she went off wandering alone, hasn’t been seen since, we don’t even know where she’s roaming now."
"Even if we’re together, someone might be in seclusion today, while others are contemplating tomorrow. It’s impossible to live like in the Mortal Realm, where people are together from day to day, worrying about life’s various affairs. The endless stretch of time also diminishes the thought of exclusivity in everyone’s heart."
"When today she is in seclusion and I don’t need to cultivate, we can enjoy a divine couple’s life; who needs to go outside for cultivation could hang out with you; each busy in their own pursuits yet no hindrance to each other. Even when all together, we blend seamlessly like one family."
"Of course, this is only when everyone can have such thoughts. If one day you find a woman who wants to monopolize you or vie more for you, using little schemes and tricks to trap or cause discord, then it’s over."
"I’m not afraid of you bringing women home, just concerned you’d bring those with heavy minds; nonetheless, you seem to handle this well—it appears I might have worried too much..."
Carson caressed Samantha’s hair and smiled, "Is this just your thought or is it shared among all of you?"
Samantha laughed, "It’s mine, but their thoughts are similar. Everyone living harmoniously together like family, helping each other, banding together to stay warm and withstand the long stretch—more women wouldn’t make much difference. But if there are individual schemes or greedy intentions to exclusivity, encouraging competition and opposition, which disrupts us so severely, maybe we might end up leaving you and form our own group."
Samantha’s words sounded like jest, but Carson took them seriously to heart.
Peace in the family brings prosperity; if the family isn’t harmonious, what’s the point?
Wasn’t this exactly a subtle cue from Samantha—her advice laced with a bottom line warning?
Being together is because of love and desire for love; if being together means only suffering and grievance, who would still wish to be by your side?
Because of love, they tolerate; without it, none of them with such independent temperaments would take nonsense lightly.
Carson kissed Samantha’s forehead solemnly and said, "Thank you, I’ll remember what you said. For our happiness, I absolutely won’t mess up!"
