Chapter 845 - 845: Eternal Sky
Within the Qi Sea Immortal Palace, a True Immortal identical to Li Muyang sat calmly, breathing rhythmically as he absorbed the immense vortex of Spiritual Energy within the Qi Sea Dantian, devouring it like a whale swallowing water.
Once the vortex of Spiritual Energy was entirely absorbed, the Immortal slowly opened his eyes.
This Immortal, completely identical to Li Muyang, now had a fully solidified form.
He opened his eyes and leisurely gazed beyond the Immortal Palace, as if making eye contact with the real-world Li Muyang.
For a moment, Li Muyang felt as though he himself had become the Immortal within the palace, watching the physical version of himself.
Heavenly Eternal Realm!
At this instant, Li Muyang had finally ascended into the Heavenly Eternal Realm.
His Primordial Spirit within the Qi Sea had solidified and transformed into an Immortal Spirit, leaving just one final realm before truly achieving immortality.
Breaking through the Heavenly Eternal Realm and crossing into the Taichu Realm would make him a True Immortal.
Li Muyang took a deep breath and felt his strength surging rapidly.
Now, he could mobilize the Immortal Spirit Qi within himself, using it to wield Magical Treasures, activate talismans, and cast Daoist techniques, all with power far surpassing ordinary mana.
The Purple Mansion Realm had merely given birth to an initial trace of Immortal Spirit Qi, but in the Heavenly Eternal Realm, it could already be utilized—though not for extended periods.
Feeling the growth of his power, Li Muyang muttered to himself.
“The mysterious dried corpse was right; I really am too slow.”
Even with his rapid increase in cultivation, Li Muyang now felt a deeper sense of urgency.
Mo Immortal’s True Immortal remains could at most unleash power comparable to the Taichu Realm.
Now that the second layer of the Heaven and Earth Seal had been broken, the world’s peak was at the Taichu Realm, and Li Muyang could still rely on Mo Immortal’s body to fend off strong enemies.
But once the third layer of the seal broke and True Immortal-level combat power emerged, everything would be lost.
In a short time, no one would be capable of attaining immortality.
At that point, the Evil Gods would descend upon the Mortal World unrestrained, bringing wanton destruction.
The Otherworldly Demon Gods sealed within the Deep Space Temple would also return to the land, no longer confined to watching from Outer Heaven.
Before the third layer of the seal broke, Li Muyang had to find a way to turn the tide.
He must suppress the Ancient Evil Gods within the Ancient Resentment Well and eliminate the Otherworldly Demon Gods in the Deep Space Temple…
“This difficulty isn’t ordinary,” Li Muyang murmured as he rubbed his aching brow.
No wonder the mysterious dried corpse said Li Muyang’s chances of saving the world were close to impossible.
The disparity in power between the two sides was overwhelmingly large.
Sitting outside the camp, Li Muyang waited for two more days.
Finally, there was movement inside the camp.
With the sound of a crisp bell ring, the Red Evil Bell disappeared from Li Muyang’s system inventory.
This marked the successful acknowledgment of the Red Evil Bell’s master.
Soon, the camp’s curtains were lifted, and Nie Yubing and Shen Yan, both with weary expressions, stepped outside.
“Muyang…”
“Immortal Elder…”
Both greeted Li Muyang simultaneously.
The Red Evil Bell was now tied to Shen Yan’s wrist.
Seeing Shen Yan successfully becoming its master, Li Muyang said, “Yubing, you should head back and regroup with the main force.”
“From here on, Shen Yan and I can handle this. You shouldn’t take any more risks.”
When the young girl hesitated to speak, Li Muyang interrupted her once again: “The Mortal World is in critical peril right now, and the projection powers of the Evil Gods are surging. Your assistance is needed.”
“Leave the Ancient Resentment Well to Shen Yan and me. We don’t know how long it’ll take before we can return.”
After sending the girl away with a mix of coaxing and half-truths, Li Muyang turned his gaze to Shen Yan.
At that moment, in the tranquil mountain forest, only the two of them remained.
Having played their respective roles in the Blood Lotus Sect and Tianjiao City, Li Muyang and Shen Yan now finally had a chance to be alone.
The atmosphere was slightly awkward.
But Li Muyang’s thick skin and the urgency of their mission kept things moving.
Acting as though nothing had happened, he naturally urged Shen Yan to set off.
Shen Yan simply gave him a deep look without delving into the old scores from the Blood Lotus Sect or asking any unnecessary questions.
Their relationship was somewhere between awkward and distant, like a pair of lovers separated for years, trying to maintain distance while feeling the strain.
And so, Li Muyang and Shen Yan ventured deeper into the Ten Thousand Great Mountains.
The pathway to the Ancient Resentment Well had already been identified by Shen Yan and her team.
Even without a system to guide him, Li Muyang and Shen Yan smoothly found the entrance to the Ancient Resentment Well deep within the Ten Thousand Great Mountains.
As they stepped forward, the familiar sensation of time-space travel enveloped them, and they soon arrived within the sunlight-drenched confines of the Ancient Resentment Well.
Day and night in the Ancient Resentment Well were inversely aligned with the Mortal World.
Although it was night outside, the Ancient Resentment Well was bathed in sunlight.
They descended upon a mountain ridge within the well.
Shen Yan, experiencing the Ancient Resentment Well for the first time, found herself filled with curiosity about everything.
Li Muyang, however, was long accustomed and led her northward without hesitation. The Ancestor Spirit Garden lay beyond the Blood Sea and Corpse Mountain in the extreme north.
During his previous venture using Jie Zijiu’s body, his pace had been slow, traveling like a mortal in carriages.
Now that Li Muyang himself was here, he took Shen Yan skyward, moving with Tunneling Light at incredible speed.
By dusk, they landed on a mountain ridge, walking down toward a secluded town.
At night within the Ancient Resentment Well, danger was omnipresent, with Evil Gods roaming freely. Li Muyang and Shen Yan dared not stray carelessly.
They meticulously erased traces of their presence to avoid detection by the Evil Gods.
“Those Evil Gods are still hunting me, you know,” Li Muyang remarked. “No idea how fast they can track me.”
At this rate, another half-day’s flight should bring Li Muyang to the Ancestor Spirit Garden.
He hoped the Evil Gods would progress more slowly.
Judging by their pursuit within the Cultivation World, locating Li Muyang took them considerable time.
That night, Li Muyang vigilantly kept watch on the night sky, fearing the appearance of Evil Gods at the horizon.
But in the end, the Evil Gods did not appear.
Li Muyang and Shen Yan safely waited until dawn. As the first ray of sunlight rose, the two took to the skies again, with Li Muyang leading the way further north.
Li Muyang knew this path well and wouldn’t take a wrong turn.
By midday, he finally saw the familiar sight of the Blood Sea and Corpse Mountain.
Within the boundless Blood Sea, countless lurking monsters seemed to stir.
Beyond the Blood Sea lay the Corpse Mountain, eerie and perilous, with massive worms squirming and white mist drifting.
Li Muyang and Shen Yan passed through entirely, reaching the mountain’s end.
Ahead lay a void—the border of the Ancient Resentment Well.
At this point, the Red Evil Bell on Shen Yan’s wrist began to react.
The two exchanged glances. Taking a deep breath, Li Muyang said, “It’s up to you now.”
“Awaken the Evil Vein Ancestor Spirits and have them suppress the Evil Gods.”
If the Evil Vein Ancestor Spirits could be awakened, they might not entirely defeat the Evil Gods, but at least they could prevent them from rampaging unchecked, significantly easing the crisis on the Tianyuan Continent.
That would allow the cultivators of the Tianyuan Continent to focus on cultivation and advancing their realms to prepare for the battles to come.
