The Extreme Alchemist of the Mighty Cauldron

Chapter 1830 - 1928: Bone Demon

Chapter 1830: Chapter 1928: Bone Demon

A colossal creature formed by countless dry bones appeared before Fang Lin and the black-skirted woman, its white skeletal frame looking particularly sinister, with a massive murderous aura enveloping the monster.

"I didn’t expect there to be a Bone Demon here; it seems to be a Bone Demon that has taken form," Fang Lin said, his gaze appearing somewhat solemn.

The black-skirted woman’s expression wasn’t any better; judging by the aura emitted from the Bone Demon, this was an immensely powerful entity. Even though both she and Fang Lin were Immortal beings, they might not be able to defeat this Bone Demon.

Bone Demons are extremely rare, and truth be told, Bone Demons can’t be considered Demon Beasts, as they lack flesh, blood, and consciousness, essentially just heaps of dry bones.

But why Bone Demons come into existence is difficult to investigate. Such monsters have appeared since the Ancient Wilderness era, mostly manifesting in places littered with corpses.

Once a Bone Demon condenses, it destroys everything around it; whether rocks, flora or living beings, all fall victim to the Bone Demon’s wrath.

And perhaps the most terrifying aspect is that Bone Demons lack life, making it impossible to kill them completely. Unless all their bones are shattered, no matter how many times you defeat it, it can reassemble itself.

Fang Lin didn’t expect to find a Bone Demon on this ancient battlefield, and it seems that this particular Bone Demon has existed for quite some time, otherwise it wouldn’t be so powerful.

The Bone Demon stood upright like a giant, its entire body formed by various dry bones which clattered and rubbed against each other as it moved, making a sound that made one’s scalp tingle.

Hiss Roar!!!

A strange howl issued from the Bone Demon’s throat, accompanied by a giant bone hand slamming down toward Fang Lin and the black-skirted woman’s position.

The black-skirted woman withdrew swiftly, avoiding a direct confrontation, while Fang Lin advanced instead, his punch colliding with the Bone Demon’s palm.

The next moment, Fang Lin’s entire body shook, and he retreated repeatedly, his face showing a look of shock.

"So strong! Even a punch with all my might falls behind." Fang Lin muttered to himself, though he had foreseen the Bone Demon’s strength, he didn’t expect it to be this daunting, putting even Fang Lin’s formidable Physical Strength at a disadvantage.

The black-skirted woman sneered, "Bone Demons are akin to an Immortal Body. Given the strength of this Bone Demon, battling it will only lead to constant setbacks; it’s utterly pointless."

Fang Lin glanced at her and yelled rudely, "Get lost!"

The black-skirted woman appeared angry, glared at Fang Lin gloomily, and then retreated to a distance, having no intention of intervening.

"I hope you get killed by the Bone Demon; then I can be free," she cursed inwardly, wishing death upon Fang Lin right there.

Fang Lin didn’t care about what the black-skirted woman was cursing him with; the Bone Demon’s strength before him was comparable to peak Immortal experts. Fang Lin even thought that even peak Immortal experts might not be able to eliminate this Bone Demon.

Though it’s a challenging adversary for Fang Lin, it’s also an excellent opponent, allowing him to battle and enhance his strength through continuous fighting.

After all, Fang Lin’s purpose in visiting the Ancient Wilderness battlefield was to breakthrough and enhance his strength. The Bone Demon’s appearance was an unexpected but welcome challenge.

Fang Lin leapt up, his fists raining down on the Bone Demon like a storm, each punch fully exerted without the slightest reservation.

The Bone Demon’s arms reached out, grabbing directly at Fang Lin, ignoring the punches landing on its body.

Visible to the naked eye, dents formed on the Bone Demon’s body, inflicted by Fang Lin’s fists. Yet these dents quickly returned to normal, having no effect on the Bone Demon.

On the contrary, Fang Lin had to dodge the Bone Demon’s attacks; its strength was too overwhelming compared to Fang Lin’s physical power. If struck a few times by the Bone Demon, half of his body would be crippled.

Fang Lin chose not to draw the ancient spear, opting to engage the Bone Demon barehanded. Though he often had to evade, he could feel the opportunity to break through drawing closer through constant battles.

"It’s been a long time since I’ve met an opponent who could push me to my limits!" Fang Lin said with a smile, appearing particularly excited.

It must be noted, since returning to this era, Fang Lin had hardly engaged in combat, let alone a life-and-death battle at full capacity. In this era, Fang Lin had too many concerns preventing him from fighting easily.

However, on this Ancient Wilderness battlefield, Fang Lin had no such worries; moreover, this opponent is merely a Bone Demon, so engaging it wouldn’t affect Fang Lin in any substantial way.

Bang!

Fang Lin again clashed a punch against the Bone Demon, a force erupting from around him, making the Bone Demon retreat finally, and some of its dry bones were shaken loose by Fang Lin.

Meanwhile, Fang Lin’s aura soared, waves of exuberant power continuously surged within him.

This was a sign of breakthrough, indicating that Fang Lin was already at the stage of breaking through.

"More!" Fang Lin laughed, roaring at the Bone Demon, although the Bone Demon couldn’t understand what Fang Lin was shouting.

The black-skirted woman observed from a distance, realizing Fang Lin seemed to be using the Bone Demon to hone himself.

"So he’s going to breakthrough," the black-skirted woman frowned, unwilling to see Fang Lin’s cultivation increase.

Since, the higher Fang Lin’s cultivation, the harder it becomes for her to escape his control, which is not good news for the black-skirted woman.

At this moment, a thought to disrupt Fang Lin’s breakthrough emerged in her mind, hoping Fang Lin would fail to break through, leading to exhaustion, and be killed by the Bone Demon.

Thinking so, a cold smile spread across the black-skirted woman’s lips, fixing her gaze on Fang Lin’s situation, preparing to act at the moment he breaks through.

Just as Fang Lin was about to break through, an unexpected change occurred.

The entire Ancient Wilderness battlefield shook, and countless dry bones floated autonomously, merging with a terrifying murderous aura.

"What?" Fang Lin and the black-skirted woman both changed their expressions.

A second Bone Demon!

"Why is there a second Bone Demon? An Ancient Wilderness battlefield shouldn’t have two Bone Demons!" the black-skirted woman exclaimed, already thinking of fleeing the place.

But Fang Lin couldn’t escape; the second Bone Demon headed straight for him, joining forces with the first Bone Demon in a pincer attack on Fang Lin.

"Damn!" Fang Lin cursed under his breath; this was really turning into quite a predicament.
