The Evil God Summoned by the Saintess
Chapter 617 - 615: The Gods’ Treasure
City of the Forest.
"Miss Luo Feier, thank you for your hard work. Without you, we might have had to continue suffering, not knowing when Miss Hilia would arrive."
Phil, under the alias of "Luo Feier," was conversing with the City Lord and many nobles.
Among the praise from the numerous nobles, Phil would only nod or respond with a word or two.
Although she was born into nobility, she herself didn’t like dealing with noble groups.
Because every noble wore a fake smile, flattering her because of her status.
Phil preferred genuine, heartfelt smiles, like those from patients she successfully healed, which gave her immense satisfaction.
Actually, the smiles of the City Lord and the nobles at this moment were somewhat sincere, but they still carried the fake smiles Phil disliked.
After dealing with them for a while, Phil said, "I don’t have Hilia’s efficiency. Purifying 500 people at once is my limit. Sorry, perhaps I need more time."
The City Lord immediately said, "It’s okay, it’s okay. Take your time."
Phil added, "There’s also another issue. The method I’m using is not certain to last as long as a month."
"One day at a time, in any case, thank you very much. It would be even better if Miss Luo Feier could stay in the City of the Forest."
Phil shook her head, getting up to leave.
"Time is urgent, let’s treat everyone first."
Outside, the City Lord of the City of the Forest had already arranged for the people needing treatment to be placed in the square, following the example of other cities.
Unlike Hilia, Phil could not purify a large number of people at once, but her individual purification efficiency was unmatched by Hilia.
Accompanied by some guards, Phil walked past rows of patients, either sitting or lying, as streams of gray mist flew out from the patients’ bodies and entered Phil’s body.
Around Phil, a faint gray mist lingered, but it was all covered by the golden glow of the Purification Skill on her body surface.
A large amount of gray mist was purified and dispelled, returning to the Abyss.
Besides the pollutants being drawn from the patients’ bodies, even the gray mist lingering in the air surged madly into Phil’s body.
Wherever she walked, everyone displayed a look of relaxation, gazing at Phil with reverence.
Phil’s complexion gradually turned pale, but after the pollutants carrying life elements entered her body, her cheeks became rosy again.
Between this blanching and redness, Phil slowly reached the end of all the lines.
Just as she was about to conclude this round of purification, a voice came from the side, "Phil... Luo Feier, please wait a moment."
Phil looked up and widened her eyes, blurting out a name: "Benovia...?"
"Luo Feier, hello there, remember me?" Unmasked, Benovia playfully winked at Phil.
Phil tilted her head, looking confused, "Why are you here?"
"I received divine guidance to come protect the Gods’ treasure."
While speaking, Benovia emphasized the word ’treasure.’
Then she saw a look of panic appear on Phil’s face.
She turned to the accompanying soldiers and said, "You all go back first, this is my friend and I have a lot to say to her."
The guards were puzzled, "Miss Luo Feier, that won’t do, the Lord City Lord wants us to protect you, if you were to..."
Before Phil could speak, Benovia interjected, "Don’t worry, Luo Feier is a Tier Four Mage. All of you combined wouldn’t be able to match her."
Benovia’s emphasis was on ’Tier Four,’ serving as a warning to them.
Phil was just a white-clad angel who came to help, neither the City Lord’s subordinate nor an honorary noble of the Elf Race; they had no authority to demand anything of Phil.
Having said this, Benovia took Phil, who wanted to speak, away, using magic to instantly relocate to a restaurant Benovia had booked in advance.
Phil looked around, then turned to Benovia, amazed, "Is this space magic?"
Benovia nodded, "Just a small Tier Four space spell, nothing worth mentioning."
After a casual explanation, Benovia curiously looked at Phil in front of her, "Phil, why are you mimicking Hilia, running to the Elf Race to heal people?"
Phil blinked, "I am a Holy Priest, isn’t it normal to heal people?"
"Seriously, is there no other reason?" Benovia asked with a mischievous smile, "Like getting some divine revelation or something."
Phil shook her head, "No, I just wanted to come, so I did."
Benovia scrutinized Phil; she was nearly acquainted with all her "competitors," knowing Phil wore her emotions on her sleeve, essentially revealing her thoughts through her expressions.
She truly did not receive any divine instructions.
With a slight turn of thought, Benovia understood.
No wonder they specifically called me over; the Gods said the ’treasure’ must actually be Phil, but who knows why they wanted me to come,
It couldn’t be to employ me as her bodyguard, could it?
Benovia contemplated thoughtfully.
Truth be told, there might actually be that possibility.
Although Phil had reached Tier Four, she knew very few offensive spells, ones learned by her magic puppet out of necessity, and she hadn’t learned them herself.
Furthermore, Phil’s combat experience was mostly in supportive roles; for solo combat, there was a saying that even a cat poised to hiss would have more fighting stances than she.
"And what about you, Benovia, why did you suddenly show up here?" Phil asked.
If she remembered correctly, Benovia should currently be at the border helping separate the pollution, or in the Star Spirit Forbidden Land; she shouldn’t appear here.
"I got a divine revelation to come seek a treasure." Benovia stared at Phil, with a playful hint in her eyes.
"A divine-revealed treasure?" Phil asked curiously, "What is it? Need my help? Although I’m not strong in combat, I can assist you."
"No need." Benovia replied, "Because I’ve already found it."
"Oh, you found it, that’s good, congratulations."
"Aren’t you asking what treasure I’m looking for?"
"I asked, but you didn’t answer."
"Actually, the treasure is something you know too." Benovia blinked her eyes.
Phil was puzzled, "I know too?"
The silver-haired girl bowed her head, pondering deeply, then shook her head.
"I don’t recall any treasure needing Benovia to personally seek out."
"It’s that Gods’ treasure."
Benovia chuckled mischievously.
"Far away, yet right before your eyes."
"Far away, yet right before your eyes?"
Phil was still confused until a moment later, seeing Benovia still looking at her, she suddenly realized, her expression panicked.
"You... you mean, could it be me?"
Benovia smiled, "Of course not... just joking."
"What! You scared me to death."
Phil nervously glanced around, afraid that Rose might suddenly appear from somewhere.
Rose was observing, thoughtful.
He indeed wanted to suddenly jump out.
