The Evil God Summoned by the Saintess
Chapter 507 - 505: The Fire Spirit Makes a Run for It!
Everyone immediately looked at the Fire Spirit, filled with uncertainty.
Most shocked were Erina and Ashugar.
Pure Fire Spirits never spoke, and the mutated Fire Spirit from 100 years ago didn’t even possess a soul.
Yet now, this Fire Spirit, which had absorbed everything from three Tier Six Mages, could actually speak?
Not only that.
They all felt a powerful force emanating from the Fire Spirit.
This force brought terrifying pressure to everyone except Erina and Ashugar.
A dreadful intensity, just one step away from Tier Seven!
Everyone instantly became extremely alert.
The Fire Spirit coldly looked at everyone, arms crossed, with crimson flames dancing upon its body.
"You want to possess me, don’t you? Come on, continue fighting. The final victor will have the qualification to challenge me."
Erina frowned, looking at the arrogant Fire Spirit.
Behind him, a surviving Tier Six Mage asked in a low voice, "Lord Erina, what should we do now?"
Erina pondered for a moment: "The Fire Spirit is strange, but no matter what, they must not be allowed to claim it. This thing can only belong to Dragon Island. Gather everyone here and capture the Fire Spirit and the Witches."
He didn’t mention capturing Ashugar.
The opponent was a mage of the same tier; if he wanted to escape, Erina couldn’t stop him.
Especially now, with the chaotic situation on Dragon Island, they didn’t have the capacity to fight against a Tier Seven Mage.
As for Tier Six Mages, there was only the Moon Witch and the Charm Witch.
The Moon Witch’s combat ability was formidable, but not strong enough to withstand the alliance of two or more mages of the same tier.
The Charm Witch was a big problem, and Erina was contemplating how to eliminate her influence on his side.
He could feel that even if the Charm Witch did not unleash her charm abilities, all Tier Five Mages behind him were constantly fixated on her.
He had never heard of any mage faction possessing such a bizarre ability. If the opponent had lethal magic, they would be virtually unbeatable.
"There must be a solution to charm abilities; no control ability is without resolution."
Erina frowned.
The tension between the two sides persisted, yet no one made the first move.
Of course, except for the Fire Spirit.
Seeing that neither side acted, Rose, controlling the Fire Spirit, shook her head and directly guided the Fire Spirit, carrying the Bathing Fire Essence and the Star of Ice, toward the distance.
The faces of both sides changed instantly, and they quickly flew after them, except for the Charm Witch.
She didn’t rush towards the Fire Spirit, simply watching from her place. A moment later, she quietly left, unnoticed by anyone.
Besides possessing the ability to attract everyone’s attention, she also had an anti-charm ability that allowed her to remain unnoticed by everyone.
The combination of the two prevented her from possessing offensive means, and her Magic Puppets could only assist her strategically — aiding her escape.
"The Fire Spirit in this state..."
She thought back to how she discreetly unleashed a charm spell on the Fire Spirit, only for it to remain unaffected, and she could only sigh.
"It seems the Fire Spirit and I have no fate entwined."
Thinking about the corpses of the Love Witch and the Desire Witch, she sighed again, a sight evoking pity: "I’ve suffered a huge loss this time."
...
A barrage of magic attacks approached, Rose stopped running, extended her hand, and erected a wall of fire to block all attacks.
Then, dragon-shaped fire magic appeared from the Firewall, rushing toward all Tier Five Mages.
Seeing this, those mages hurriedly halted, quickly deploying defensive magic to fend off the fire dragons.
The remaining four, two Tier Six Mages and two Tier Seven Mages, promptly surged forward.
The fastest was the Moon Witch; she reached out to grab the Fire Spirit’s body only to catch air.
"Behind you." A calm voice echoed, and the Moon Witch’s face shifted. The next second, she felt scorching flames igniting behind her.
Boom!
The Moon Witch’s body plummeted like a broken kite, bewilderment still lingering in her eyes.
How could this Fire Spirit wield spatial magic?
Another Tier Six Mage charged forth, as Rose manipulated the Bathing Fire Essence and the Star of Ice, rotating them before the Fire Spirit, unleashing dual magic power of ice and fire, forming a symbol resembling a Tai Chi diagram to block the Tier Six Mage’s attack.
The next instant, his attack was rebounded, and now accompanied by dual elemental ice and fire, it fiercely struck back towards his body.
"Today’s mages are truly inadequate."
Rose, hidden in the shadows, shook her head.
Even a Tier Six Mage might equate to the prowess of his Magic Puppet, but a Tier Six Mage who only cultivated alone was still lacking.
The Fire Spirit, having consumed three Tier Six Mages, had already surpassed the average Tier Mage in strength, and without using Magic Puppets, opponents would only face overwhelming defeat.
"The Divine Pet Contract certainly works." Rose nodded in satisfaction.
Earlier, as the others battled, he gradually established a Divine Pet Contract with the Fire Spirit. After Guy became nourishment for the Fire Spirit, the Divine Pet Contract was successfully completed.
The moment it was born, this unique Fire Spirit became his magical pet.
However, this unique magical pet had no self-awareness of combat, functioning similarly to a Magic Puppet, it could only follow orders.
Fortunately, the master holds all commanding power over the magical pet, including directly descending to operate the pet in battle.
In the past, when this ability was akin to a game, it meant Rose directly controlling the magical pet’s movements and skills, with the exception of invincible rolls, it was essentially indistinguishable from controlling a player character.
Now, this ability manifested as reality, allowing Rose to operate as if handling Magic Puppets.
His spiritual strength, even though it couldn’t provide much Spiritual Power to operate due to Hilia’s influence, allowed him to control the Fire Spirit effortlessly under the Divine Pet Contract.
"Such a pity. Even controlling this magical pet requires using Hilia’s conduit, and the operational range is affected by Hilia’s prowess; otherwise, it could..."
Rose abandoned his fantasies.
He also wondered if he could form an army of magical pets through contracts and then venture into the Abyss to unlock powers for himself.
Yet the outcome was clearly impossible; Zeus had not left him such a loophole.
Except for the peculiar loophole of Hilia, nothing else could be dealt with this easily.
"So then..."
Rose glanced at Erina and Ashugar, especially Ashugar.
"Before leaving, let’s teach you a lesson."
Upon learning of Ashugar’s actions, funding heretics, extracting Alina’s blood, akin to being a henchman of the Pantheon, even if he did it to summon himself, Rose wouldn’t easily forgive him.
"Although constrained to the maximum strength of Tier Six, it still suffices to tackle two Tier Seven Mages."
At this moment, Ashugar and Erina became cautious and vigilant.
Ashugar seemed to have realized something and squinted: "You are that God worshiped by the Tower of Descent?"
"What is the Tower of Descent?" Rose responded casually.
He didn’t intend to give them any chance to speak further, immediately charging forward.
Terrifying fire magic erupted instantly!
