Chapter 2369: Crushing Robuke and Radagon
Chapter 2369: Crushing Robuke and Radagon
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
A massive explosion echoed across the surface of the World of the Root as the Scarlet King managed to tackle Robuke, the two of them crashing violently into the ground. The impact was so overwhelming that entire continents were ripped free from the surface and hurled into the air like debris.
A wide smile spread across Cain’s face as he witnessed the sheer scale of the destruction. This was not ordinary damage. This was the kind of force that did not merely scar the land—it damaged the very foundation of the first layer of the World of the Root itself.
However, before he could savor the moment, an axe strike landed squarely in his chest.
The blow detonated with brutal force, blasting Cain into the sky and nearly throwing him back into the void. Space itself warped under the impact. Cain immediately released a burst of energy, forcibly regaining control over his body mid-flight.
Blood leaked from the corner of his mouth, and a deep gash split open his chest. Flesh and muscle were torn apart, yet his bones remained untouched.
Seeing that, a bloody smile appeared on his face.
The wound had penetrated his flesh, but lacked the power to pierce all the way through his muscles and reach his skeleton.
"Hahaha... excellent!" Cain shouted.
Under the gaze of all present, purple flames surged over his body, instantly repairing the damage. In the blink of an eye, Cain returned to his peak condition, his aura flaring stronger than before.
Even Robuke—feral, bloodthirsty, and consumed by destruction—froze for a brief moment.
"Our last encounter was less than a month ago," Robuke thought, his eyes narrowing. "And now his defenses are exponentially higher. How did he do it?"
The Monster of the Root clenched his teeth, tightening his grip on his axes until the veins in his arms bulged. He had not yet reached his own peak—his body still required further growth—but even so, he should have been capable of overwhelming any warrior from such a small universe.
"How did he do it?"
Those thoughts were quickly discarded.
Battle demanded his full attention.
With a violent burst of power, Robuke flashed into the sky.
Cain’s smile widened as he summoned a Zero-State Spear, diving straight toward the Monster of the Root.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"
The sky shattered as they collided.
Axes and spear crashed together, releasing shockwaves that tore through space itself. Even ArchDeities could not be near the duo, as the waves of destruction their collisions unleashed into the air were more than enough to cut them to pieces.
Cain’s eyes gleamed with exhilaration as he endured the crushing force behind Robuke’s axes. His defenses screamed under the pressure, but they held.
Then, with a subtle yet flawless shift of movement, Cain redirected the axes aside.
Twisting his body with all his strength, he drove a kick straight into Robuke’s temple.
Cain’s defenses were overwhelming, but his raw physical strength was not. He compensated for that weakness through abilities that channeled his Ego Wave, as well as energies such as Nihility, Entropy, and their evolved form manifested through the Zero-State Spear.
To the naked eye, however, what he released was just a kick.
"Hmph. As if a kick that weak could—"
Robuke never finished his sentence.
A massive burst of Zero-State energy exploded from the point of impact.
The detonation blasted Robuke into the distance, tearing through half of his face and sending fragments of flesh scattering into the air.
Cain smiled once more, satisfied.
He knew his own weakness. That was why he had searched through the memories of all those he had consumed, seeking an answer. He had found it in Urin, the Neo-Angel whose talent revolved around controlled explosions.
Cain could not replicate the ability to turn an enemy’s flesh into an explosive medium—but with the current power of the Ego Eternal Path of Power, copying the explosive impact at a single point was well within his reach.
Without wasting a single second, Cain flashed forward.
The Zero-State Spear in his hand blazed with power as he slashed downward.
Robuke blocked the strike with his axe, narrowly avoiding a direct blast. Even so, the force smashed him into the ground, carving out another crater—this one nearly the size of a moon—into the surface of the World of the Root.
"ARGHHHH!"
Robuke released a monstrous roar filled with rage and hatred. His muscles bulged grotesquely as his body expanded, his killing intent surging to terrifying levels.
What greeted that outburst was a massive scarlet gate.
"Chaos of the Scarlet Throne!"
Cain’s smile did not fade, but his eyes grew cold and murderous as he roared:
"Gate of Babylon!"
Chaos Weapons erupted from the portal, raining down upon the Monster of the Root like world-ending meteors. Each weapon carried apocalyptic power, distorting space as they descended.
"ARGHHHH!"
Robuke roared even louder, charging headlong into the storm. His axes swung wildly, smashing Chaos Weapons apart one after another. Every strike made the muscles in his arms swell as if they might explode, yet he continued pushing forward through sheer brutality.
Unfortunately for Robuke, while the Gate of Babylon was focused on him, countless Chaos Weapons still crashed into the landmass below. Entire regions of the World of the Root were shattered, blasted apart in cataclysmic explosions.
Robuke knew he had to reach Cain to stop the spell.
The worst part was that it was not only their battle wreaking havoc.
Dozens of other clashes flooded the sky and surface with flames of destruction. Among them, one stood out—nearly as devastating as Cain’s confrontation with Robuke.
That battle was between Anark and Radagon.
Just like the Scarlet King, the True Primordial of the Void wore a wide smile as he clashed with the King of the Root. Violet energy surged around Anark, erupting into a blazing aura so powerful that the laws of space-time screamed under the pressure.
His fists collided with Radagon’s, shockwaves rippling outward as Anark forced the King of the Root backward.
