The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2368: Emptiness Lord’s Essence

Chapter 2368: Emptiness Lord’s Essence

The amount of Fortune that had forged that Gift was astonishing, so there was a good chance it would become a treasure of great worth.

"Maybe, if I am lucky, it will be a new armor."

Cain could not help but entertain that hope. His Necro-Skin had been invaluable over the past few years, saving his life on more than one occasion. However, after reaching the second level of the Doomsday Star, it had ceased to be useful to him. That was precisely why he had handed it over to Leonidas.

Of course, this Gift was not meant for him.

Only after Anark’s Samsara Seal completed its enhancement would they be able to see what lay within the golden orb.

The True Primordial of the Void screamed with all the strength of his lungs as the pain ravaged him. The torment seemed endless, tearing through his flesh, mind, and soul, until at last it subsided. When it did, every inch of Anark’s body was covered by a runic set so flawless and perfect that it hardly seemed real.

Cold sweat drenched him, and the pain still lingered faintly in his mind, yet even so, a wide smile spread across his face as he clenched his fists in exhilaration.

He could feel it.

His body, mind, and soul had all been fundamentally transformed.

Now, even if his head were blown apart, he would be able to recover as long as he possessed sufficient energy.

Just as it had for Cain, the voice of the Samsara Lord echoed from the flames, congratulating Anark on forging the Samsara Runic Set and obtaining the Samsara Immortal Body.

The True Primordial of the Void performed a deep bow of gratitude toward the Samsara Flame before turning his gaze toward the golden orb hovering in the sky.

Taking a deep breath, Anark sent his consciousness into the orb.

In the next instant, it flashed toward him, revealing a nebulous gem filled with swirling, unfathomable depth. The moment Anark laid eyes on it, he felt an intense connection form, as though the treasure recognized him.

Before he could fully comprehend its nature, the voice of the Samsara Lord echoed once more from the flames.

"Congratulations. You have obtained the Tier Zero Gift—Emptiness Lord’s Essence. This treasure is forged specifically for the Primordial Race. It will allow you to refine, condense, and enhance the nature of your Primordial Force exponentially."

Both Cain’s and Anark’s eyes widened.

The Gift possessed the terrifying ability to interfere with cosmic forces of the highest order—Primordial Force itself—and improve them. Even Cain could immediately grasp how absurdly powerful such an artifact was.

The True Primordial of the Void could only imagine how strong he would become with it.

Yet soon, a complicated expression appeared on Anark’s face as he turned toward Cain.

After all, it was Cain who had gathered the sacrifices, and Cain who had already helped him awaken the Samsara Runic Set. It did not feel right to also take a treasure that could potentially benefit the Scarlet King as well.

Fortunately, Cain merely smiled faintly and shook his head.

"The core of my power lies in my Ego Eternal Path of Power. My Primordial Path is only at the ArchDeity Rank, so I do not truly rely on the nature of my Primordial Force," Cain said calmly. "You, on the other hand, use it as the foundation of your battle style. You should keep the treasure."

Anark smiled at Cain, not uttering a word. In truth, he deeply wanted the treasure, but he would never forget this favor. He silently vowed to wield his full strength in the coming incursions into the World of the Root.

Without wasting time, Anark sent his soul into the Emptiness Lord’s Essence.

Immediately, the crystal flashed and embedded itself into his forehead like a third eye. His energy surged violently, igniting and burning with newfound intensity. A towering pillar of violet force erupted from his body, causing the surrounding air to tremble under the pressure of his immense power.

Anark clenched his fists, grinning widely as he felt the transformation take hold.

After several seconds, he managed to calm his heart and retract his energy, then nodded solemnly toward Cain.

The two True Primordials performed a deep bow toward the purple flame before leaving the Samsara Arsenal Module.

When they reappeared beneath the Scarlet Crown, the eyes of both figures glowed with focus and determination. Without exchanging words, they nodded to each other and flashed toward the Golden Hall.

It was time for a new incursion.

While Cain advanced into the void alongside Anark, another figure rose from the depths of one of the vast oceans of the Everstrife Empyrean World.

His body was covered in blue scales that shimmered with arcs of lightning. A long tail stretched from his back, and two imposing horns rose from his head. In his hand rested a massive sword that seemed to contain the power of an apocalyptic storm within its blade.

This was none other than Sozing, the Immortal Knight of the Tenth Empyrean World, now inhabiting the body of a native of the Everstrife Empyrean World.

Sozing examined his body and soul carefully, then nodded in satisfaction.

"This talent should draw attention, but not so much that it becomes suspicious," he murmured. "Now I need to forge legends around myself—a background that can explain my eventual arrival within the Scarlet Crown."

With that goal firmly in mind, Sozing turned toward the distance and vanished in a flash of lightning.

The Everstrife Empyrean World was filled with both opportunity and danger for cultivators at the Soul Realm. Sozing intended to make full use of both.

It did not take long before he arrived at a massive glacial plain. Endless ice stretched in every direction, accompanied by a bone-chilling cold that seeped deep into the marrow. The land was far from empty, however.

Powerful Divine Beasts made this frozen wasteland their home, locked in constant battle against one another. Their roars echoed across the ice, and the ground trembled beneath their clashes.

Sozing’s eyes gleamed as he surveyed the battlefield.

The head of one of those beasts would make a perfect trophy.
