Chapter 40: Chapter 40: You Really Think Too Much

In the Regent Prince’s carriage, a cold and somber atmosphere pervaded. Rong Ling’s gaze was icy as he looked at one side of the carriage, before slowly turning his eyes towards Feng Qing, speaking lightly: "What do you think of this matter?"

He felt that this woman was different from the usual ladies trapped in the inner chambers.

Feng Qing, hearing his question, instinctively responded: "Just some people fishing for fame and praise."

After speaking, she suddenly realized she had spoken too much. The Prince had previously been suspicious of her, and here she was, rambling again. It seemed she needed to be extremely careful when spending time with the Prince Regent.

As soon as Feng Qing finished speaking, she said no more, while Rong Ling on the soft couch seemed to shed much of his hostility. He lifted his gaze and said, "Come, tell me what you mean by this?"

Feng Qing immediately shook her head, seriously expressing: "Prince, I was just rambling nonsense, not to be taken seriously."

Upon hearing this, Rong Ling’s eyes immediately turned cold, and slowly, a cold smile emerged at the corner of his mouth: "I remember you said before you wanted to repay the Prince’s kindness."

Feng Qing nearly spat blood upon hearing this. This was endless; clearly he was the one who hit her, yet now she’s supposed to repay him. Where’s the justice in that?

Feng Qing was extremely frustrated. The man on the soft couch spoke in a deep, mellow voice: "Come, tell the Prince your thoughts."

There was a hint of coaxing in his voice.

Feng Qing pressed her lips tightly, showing through her expression that she refused to answer such a topic.

She didn’t expect the Prince Regent would suddenly make a move.

Before Feng Qing could react, she was pulled onto the soft couch by Rong Ling. His long, jade-like hand touched her face.

Feng Qing was stunned. What was this man doing, touching her face like this?

As Rong Ling’s cool hand touched Feng Qing’s face, she shivered, then began to struggle. But unfortunately, as soon as Rong Ling extended his hand, Feng Qing’s acupoints were pressed and she couldn’t move, letting his hand wander all over her face.

Feng Qing’s expression was extremely unpleasant. She glared angrily at Rong Ling, shouting coldly: "Let go, what are you doing?"

After touching around, Rong Ling confirmed that this person wasn’t wearing a disguise mask and hadn’t undergone any face-changing surgery. This face was her true face.

Could it be that this woman truly is the eldest daughter of the Marquis Jing’an Mansion, that her previous timidity and weakness was merely hidden potential.

As Rong Ling withdrew his hand, he took a handkerchief embroidered with green bamboo from his sleeve, using it to carefully wipe his hand, clearly showing disdain for her face.

Feng Qing was so angry her face turned black. She gritted her teeth and said: "Unlock my acupoints."

Unfortunately, the man wiping his hands seemed not to hear her. After wiping, he tossed the handkerchief onto the table, looking up at Feng Qing: "Earlier, you thought the Prince was doing what, molesting you? Your imagination runs wild."

Having understood that the reason he touched her face was to check for any disguise masks or similar items.

Still, even knowing this, it couldn’t be denied that he had touched her face, and his sudden action naturally led her to overthink.

Feng Qing gritted her teeth, retorting coldly: "Enough, unlock my acupoints."

Rong Ling still hadn’t unlocked Feng Qing’s acupoints, coldly gazing at her: "What about the question I asked earlier? Why do you believe that man is someone fishing for fame and praise."

Feng Qing’s eyes were practically spitting fire. She had never seen such a vile person, touching her face whenever they disagreed, pressing her acupoints whenever they disagreed.

Yet she was completely powerless to resist.

This feeling of being under someone else’s control was truly distressing, especially since Rong Ling’s earlier move made it clear to Feng Qing that this man’s martial skills were incredibly formidable. She couldn’t possibly gain any advantage from him.
