Chapter 736 - 394: Spirit Charm (3)

The situation had been just like this before. After the avatar of the Celestial Dao’s will collapsed, it transformed into such a cloud of white mist.

Back then, Pan Yu had almost mistaken it for Mana from the Origin Realm and tried to absorb it. The attempt nearly ended in disaster. Fortunately, she had control over this room, which allowed her to neutralize the effects.

"I’ll go bring Fellow Daoist Yang back!"

When Yang An didn’t react, they both assumed he was in trouble. Pan Shi, taking it upon himself, announced as much and then immediately rushed out, landing downstairs.

"Fellow Daoist Yang, quick, come with me!"

He grabbed Yang An’s arm and tried to drag him away.

But no matter how hard he pulled, Yang An remained rooted to the spot, completely unmoved.

Veins bulged all over Pan Shi’s body as he used every last ounce of his strength, but he still couldn’t budge Yang An.

Before his eyes, the white mist in front of Yang An grew thinner and thinner, about to be completely absorbed by him.

They were outside the room now. If Yang An lost control of the cost, the situation would be irreversible.

"Fellow Daoist Yang! Snap out of it!"

Left with no other choice, Pan Shi could only shout from behind Yang An, trying to snap him out of his trance with the sound of his voice.

But by the time Yang An came to, he had already absorbed all of the Spirit Charm. He suddenly felt completely refreshed and invigorated, more at ease than he had ever felt before.

"Fellow Daoist Yang, you’re finally awake! Quick, get back to the room with me!"

Seeing this, Pan Shi immediately tried to pull Yang An back inside.

Yang An didn’t know why Pan Shi was acting this way, but he didn’t resist. Soon, the two of them were back in the room.

Once the door was shut, both Pan Yu and Pan Shi stared nervously at Yang An, terrified that he would lose control of the cost at any moment.

But the three of them just stared at one another, dumbfounded. A long moment passed, and nothing happened.

Yang An looked at them in confusion, and they looked back at him with the same expression. Silence fell over the room.

"What’s wrong with you two?"

Yang An genuinely hadn’t heard Pan Yu’s shouts from before; he had been completely focused on absorbing the Spirit Charm.

Pan Yu then repeated the explanation she had just given Pan Shi.

"I see!"

Yang An nodded.

’My guess was right. The Spirit Charm comes from Earth, not the Spiritual Muddied Mana of the Origin Realm.’

’I can absorb it because I’m originally from this world.’

’But if someone from the Origin Realm absorbs the Spiritual Qi here, it would cause an imbalance in their Spiritual Turbidity, making them lose control of the cost.’

’One person’s treasure is another’s poison!’

’No wonder those old geezers want to assimilate Earth into another Origin Realm. Without assimilation, they can’t absorb the Spiritual Qi here.’

Of course, Yang An couldn’t possibly tell Pan Yu and Pan Shi the truth about this.

It wasn’t Pan Yu and Pan Shi he was wary of, but the Residual Dream and the Meat Tree behind them.

"I was just trying to see if I could convert it into Mana. Relax, I won’t absorb it recklessly, so you don’t need to worry about me losing control."

Yang An offered a casual excuse to placate them.

Seeing that Yang An truly seemed fine, Pan Yu and Pan Shi finally relaxed.

While continuing to talk with Pan Yu and Pan Shi, Yang An turned part of his attention inward to observe the changes within his body.

’After I absorbed the Spirit Charm, it actually formed a Qi Sea inside my body. And its location is exactly where I understand my Dantian to be.’

’I can draw upon the Spiritual Qi in my Dantian at will, completely unrestricted, whether inside the room or out. This is a power unique to Earth.’

With a mere thought, Yang An mobilized the Spiritual Qi in his Dantian. A Golden Radiance formed in his hand, but the light it emitted far exceeded his expectations.

In an instant, the entire room was bathed in a blinding ocean of gold.
