Chapter 313 – Re: Wards
Day 54
Later That Morning
"Lord Wayne, may I formally introduce you to Mail Failo Rheinfall, Shrine Maiden of the elves of Rheinfall and daughter of their chief Esseba Failo Rheinfall," Lina said, her voice carrying with it a weight that didn't match her petite frame. Well, not as petite any longer, as he could see the bump forming on her belly from their growing children. She was glowing radiantly, which brought a smile to his lips.
He turned to the woman she was introducing, the elven woman bowing deferentially toward where he sat on his throne. He had encountered many incredibly beautiful women in his journey through DEN, and this one was no exception. If he was rating by physical beauty alone, she was probably in the top five, which included two goddesses, a dying elf, a mage with glowing eyes, and his blue-haired bunny girl fiancée.
Well, a Dryad too... A Superhero that can turn into a giant is right there as well... Not to mention my little Neko... so maybe top ten would be better. Gods, I have a lot of women in my life, and most are incredibly beautiful.
She stood around five foot three, lean, with creamy alabaster skin, and long blonde hair. She wore a white sundress with a single thin strap around her neck, her shoulders bare, but her modest B-cup breasts were covered, and her dress barely hid the fact that she had a shapely ass. Even without makeup, her face was incredibly beautiful, with a perfectly perky nose, full lips, and wide green eyes and long eyelashes that gave him an impression of innocence, modesty, and curiosity. Her long pointed ears stuck out more to the sides than Ash's did, but not as far as the elves in Warcraft. She looked to be in her early twenties, though Lina had told him earlier that she was 115 years old, and was seeking his aid with an invading human army.
He was going to just send them on their way, as they would be leaving in just over a week once everyone had returned from the North and he gave his people the option to remain here if they chose. Then Lina and, surprisingly, Aqua both asked him to entertain her offer.
Earlier in the Baths
"They are an ancient race with many secret magics and relics. If we could bring some of those with us, it would help save time trying to replicate those things." Aqua said, rubbing his back with a facecloth and soap. "Not to mention, I did say she could send all their non-combatants here to keep them safe. I would hate to be made a liar."
"She did say she wanted to offer you her hand in marriage if you agree to help save her people. If you could recruit a village of elves and bring them with us, far out of reach of humans who would cause their genocide, that could be extremely helpful for us." Lina added, scrubbing his chest with her own cloth.
"What?" He and Aqua said at the same time.
"Political marriage. I thought you knew about things like that."
"Yes, I'm aware. In several worlds I've travelled to, there have been some discussions about that. I just wasn't expecting it here." He said. He knew that in Warcraft, his mother had been trying to get him married politically ever since he'd had a falling out with Jaina. In The Great Cleric, Brod and Galba had also mentioned the possibility, and Nanaella had put his 'harem' together there for the purpose of making sure he had a core of women who were loyal to him alone, not some other political machinations happening across that world. Heck, he vaguely remembered Saya's mother was trying to arrange a marriage between him and her daughter because she wanted her family tied to the wizard.
"Go ahead and hear her out. I'll support whatever you choose. She is a really nice woman." Aqua said after a moment, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. "You better not forget the rest of the girls because of another set of pretty eyes."
"Yes, dear." He said, chuckling slightly. That was another whole ball of wax, one that he would need to deal with later.
"Mmmmm.... Wait, we are going somewhere?" Riana said, cleaning another part of his body while he funnelled his Ki through it.
"Yeah. Weren't you listening?" Aqua asked her.
"I was listening! I just... need to have these babies soon. My boobs are becoming itchy... why are they itchy?!?"
"You sound like you're about to start producing milk. It's normal." Lina replied.
"MILK?!? NORMAL?!? I'm a Dorian... we don't... our kids don't... wha?!?"
Further talk of what to do with the elves ended then as the three of them tried to calm the hysterical Dorian, as it seemed actual motherhood might be upon her.
Present
"I understand you want my help defeating the human army?"
"Yes, Lord Wayne. I assume you're aware that they have started making their way through the woods to the North. It's only a matter of time before they make it to our village."
"I see. And you think a few ogres and hobgoblins will help with your problem?" He was pretty sure he could deal with them now, though not in the way she intended.
"I saw how your people fight. Four of them tore up twelve assassins with barely breaking a sweat while half of my retinue was cut down. If you joined with our forces, as a special operations unit, I believe we might stand a chance."
"Maybe so, but I think you're forgetting the value of an ambush. While I know the strength of my people, if things were in the other direction, and my people were the ones who were caught unaware, things may have turned out very differently." He said, pulling something out of his pocket and toying with it. He was still trying to find a way to bring up the subject without sounding straight-up insane.
"Even so. I will pay your people handsomely if you join with us."
"Lady Failo, I'm afraid I will have to say no."
"But why! I can offer you more, much more!"
"It's not about the offer, though I would have turned a revised one down as well."
"What is it then? Do you want magic items? Relics? Elven steel?"
"Those would be nice, but still I need to turn you down. In fact, we will no longer be able to take your non-combatants either. Our cir-"
"MY HAND! YOU CAN HAVE MY HAND IN MARRIAGE!" She said, falling to her knees in front of him, tears running down her cheeks. "PLEASE! I KNOW YOU CAN SAVE MY PEOPLE!"
He didn't need to cast Card on her to know she was being sincere. Still, he monitored her thoughts as they talked, debating whether rescuing these people was worth the limited time they had left here. The one-time-use spell scroll the director had sent in the envelope was set to be activated on Day 62 of his time in this world.
He sighed.
"Lady Failo... Mail... please stand up." He said, standing up and offering her a hand. "Your worry for your people is honest, and I can tell you were being genuine with your offer of marriage, even putting aside your distaste for my race for the good of your people. However, you interrupted me before I could explain myself. Circumstances have changed, and we can no longer provide shelter for your people. At least not in the way you and my wife discussed. Tell me, Lady Failo, what do you know of other worlds?"
She had taken his hand but paused, sounding confused. "Other worlds? You mean like another plane of existence? Our magics are highly focused on spiritual energies, so we know of other planes, but only the most powerful spellcasters in the ancient past were able to go to these places. At most, we can just view them these days and converse with beings there."
"Not quite another plane, but close enough." He said, not having a clue what she meant by another plane. Was that like when he was floating in that ocean of mana before, when he was dreaming? He had no idea, but decided to press on anyway. "As I'm sure you can tell, this mansion is not from this world, and neither am I. My soul, anyway."
"What?"
"I was born on another world as a human, lived a full life, then died. I found myself reincarnated, and being sent to a bunch of different worlds by gods for their entertainment."
"That is hard to believe... but we cannot figure out how this place works. The only magic we can find on it is of a spatial variety, which wouldn't explain how the lights work or how you can keep food cool, cook without fire, and have clean running water."
"That is because it works on technology along with magic. In my original world, there was no magic, no spells, no other races like you see in yours. Just technology that almost seemed like magic. Here, let me prove it to you. I believe you were told I was blessed by two of the greater gods? Well, another pair blessed me recently, too. Revert!" He said, activating the magic Destiny and Xiaolin had pushed inside of him during his time training with all these new abilities.
A flash of silver light flooded the room, blinding everyone inside of it for a moment. When their eyes adjusted, standing in front of the throne was John in his human form, and Aqua beside him in hers. "You see, I am a human, though I assure you I have no issues with your race, as your race literally has never existed where I lived most of my life."
"Wha...Rou... did you... did we make love as ogres when we could have been like this?!?" Aqua said, looking down at her body in shock. Most faces in the room appeared to be in various states of confusion. Except Riana; she was humming happily as she floated around and watered the flowers along the window sills.
"I made love to the woman, not the body. You are just as beautiful in either form." He said, looking back at her for a moment before refocusing on Mail. "Now, in about a week, I will be leaving this world along with Lady Wayne, this village, and anyone within it. So you see, while your offer is tempting, we will be moving on before your fight has concluded."
"So there is no hope for us?" Mail said, not pulling her hand back. Her thoughts held no disgust for him, but disappointment and hopelessness.
"That depends. How tied to this world are you?"
That Afternoon
"Master! That was incredible. A construct you can operate from within that moves faster than a galloping horse even through the forest." Returner said, fluttering around his head. He had changed back into Ogre form for now, but it was nice to be a human again for a little bit.
My lust dropped off significantly in my human form. I still felt the need for sex, but it was much more manageable.
"Uuuuggghh"
"It's not as fast or maneuverable as Suzy Q, but by the gods she is a powerful ride." He said, patting the foot of the Timberwolf mech before shrinking it back to pocket size. He tried not to think of all the women he had to have sex with to earn these boons, as it felt like he was cheapening the experience because of it, but the level 2 No Fap challenge was now complete, and he would be damned if he didn't use the rewards.
[Quest]
[The Cross-Worlds NoFap Challenge Level 2]
[Take the virginity of five different women - 5/5 (Complete)]
[Rewards]
[One S-Class Implant - Niki - Parallel Mind]
[One A-Class Implant - Tanya - Accelerated Reflexes]
[One Heavy Clan OmniMech - Mia - Timber Wolf]
[Awakened Quirk - Rumi - Feral Instinct]
[Divine Magic - Aqua - Holy Magic Tree]
They were all amazing boons, though the one he received from Aqua was possibly the best yet most annoying. He had all her holy magic spells from the time she was a goddess. All of them.
He sighed.
[Resurrection]
Location Received - Re: Monster
Active
Cost - 500 MP
School - Holy
The most advanced spell for the Arch Priest class; it revives a recently deceased person.
He sighed again.
500 MP... is not possible. I have 150 MP naturally, though in some of these other worlds that goes up significantly. Like in Warcraft, I had over 1000. I don't remember if I had a modifier in DXD, and I think it was 2x in Infinite Frontiers. And here it is just a letter... I might be able to cast it, but I have no clue if I have enough juice to actually do it. I need to talk to Alec to see what I need to do to push it up significantly. If I can get my bag from IF, I could come back here and load up on mana batteries, but Ash would die before I could DEN return. I need to think about this very carefully.
He still might just return to Warcraft first once he had the AoE purification spell, which was different than the one in this holy magic tree. The paladin resurrection magic might be cheaper to cast than this one from a goddess who had a nearly unlimited mana pool.
"Uuuuggghh"
"Returner, how long before you can teleport back to the village?" He asked the carbuncle, who was still on his shoulder.
"In a few moments. I'll bring Riana and the rest of the elves back with me within the hour." She said. They were planning on dropping an anchor point here for Riana so she could run a more permanent portal. Mail was hesitantly optimistic that she could convince her father to join them when they left this world, if only to avoid being wiped out by the humans.
He could just mow down their army with the mech, but that would only delay the inevitable. Short of assaulting their capital and killing their king, along with thousands of people, he doubted he could prevent them from just rebuilding their army and renewing their assault.
"Good enough. Hopefully I'm in a meeting with the chief by then. Providing the locals don't just riddle me with arrows first." He checked his Mental Mapping and could tell people were approaching and would be here shortly.
"Urrrcckk"
"With your leave, Master," Returner said, jumping off his shoulder and floating to the ground. A teleportation circle opened up underneath her, and she disappeared.
I really need to learn that one.
"Come on, Mail. We're almost to your village." He said, scooping up the prone woman and cradling her in his left arm. When she was this close, she really was quite small and skinny, easily fitting into the crook of his arm. He just wanted to bring her back to the mansion and feed her until she had a little more meat on her bones.
"Kill me now." She said wearily; all the beauty and grace she'd shown in the throne room had disappeared. Oddly, he felt this was a more genuine version of her.
"You know, you and Lady Wayne have a lot in common. She had a rough time riding in one of these as well." He said, though at least Mail didn't puke all over his cockpit. That wasn't completely fair, as he barely used the jump jets on the Timberwolf. If he shook her up that way, he was pretty sure she would have popped her top too.
He activated Healing Hands and rubbed her belly through her dress, then started to make his way towards the approaching elves and their village beyond. He tossed a barrier spell up as well... one couldn't be too careful around people with itchy trigger fingers... or whatever the longbow equivalent was.
"Mmm... your hand feels nice. You are really gentle, aren't you?" Mail murmured, leaning into his side. She really didn't seem to be feeling too well.
"Whenever I can be, darlin'. Whenever I can be."
