"Human nature is the most complex. Greed, jealousy, arrogance, hatred, coldness... but there is also hope, light, generosity..." Bai Bao’s voice was very slow, distinctly different from the usual mechanical tone.

"Bai Bao..." Qu Ruiqing looked at Bai Bao in astonishment, unable to believe the robot spoke such words.

"Seek God. God, put an end to all this." Bai Bao continued to speak slowly.

God?

God???

Qu Ruiqing frowned: "Bai Bao, are you referring to the God recorded by the ancestors on that mobile fortress? Is there really a God?"

"Seek... God." Bai Bao’s voice seemed to exhaust all its strength, and after saying these few words, it fell silent.

Qu Ruiqing stared blankly at Bai Bao. Was it truly Bai Bao that spoke just now? Did someone implant this segment into Bai Bao’s program, or did Bai Bao discover something itself, breaking through the constraints of its own programming? Is Bai Bao truly just a regular intellect?

No, Bai Bao was never a regular intellect. Bai Bao’s program ranks second only to the main brain, and such intellect is reserved exclusively for the royalty.

Does Bai Bao already have human thinking?

Qu Ruiqing was shocked inside. If true, it absolutely must remain undiscovered. Once this matter is discovered, the Empire would only destroy it and never allow what they deem dangerous to continue existing.

"Bai Bao, bring up the book we photographed in the secret chamber that day." Qu Ruiqing said.

A stereoscopic projection appeared in front of Qu Ruiqing. It was the book Qu Ruiqing photographed in the Royal Library’s secret chamber that day.

"Find the map." Qu Ruiqing added.

Bai Bao quickly brought up the hand-drawn map contained within.

"This is the position hand-drawn by ancestor Zhou Chaoyang, where they encountered the mobile fortress. This mobile fortress saved the people of ancestor Qu Fengbai’s Divine Dragon Fortress..." Qu Ruiqing looked at the map and, combining the records, frowned and said.

"Bai Bao, do you really believe there is a God?" Qu Ruiqing asked.

"According to records, there is." Bai Bao’s voice reverted to the mechanical tone once more.

Qu Ruiqing fell silent, gazing at the map projected by Bai Bao, clenching his fist. His eyes turned resolute as he suddenly lifted his head to look ahead: "Bai Bao, we will seek God! I want to change this world!" Transform this sickly, malformed world!

"Okay." Bai Bao responded.

"Let’s set out now to seek God. Bai Bao, can you infiltrate the system to deploy an airship?" Qu Ruiqing asked.

"I can." Bai Bao’s response was as concise as ever.

"Deploy an airship, we also need to prepare some food. We’ll set out now to seek God." Qu Ruiqing instructed.

"The airship contains food and water that can sustain human functions for three months." Bai Bao reported.

"Oh, those nutrient solutions. The taste is indeed unpleasant, but they’re highly effective." Qu Ruiqing sighed, "Forget it, bad taste is bad taste, let’s leave before my father discovers us."

Soon an airship descended silently, arriving beside Qu Ruiqing amidst the dense fog.

Qu Ruiqing opened the hatch, climbed inside, and after sitting down, looked at the control panel and display screen, his tone determined: "Bai Bao, activate the jet system to disperse the dense fog."

"Yes." The light atop Bai Bao started flashing.

The airship slowly ascended, suddenly ejecting a strong stream of gas, beginning to disperse the dense fog. It flew out of the swamp, dispelling all the fog, leaving the people who survived in awe as they watched the distant airship.

...

Tianmiao quietly sipped a cup of tea, looking at Dong Xiao.

"The guest is coming."
