When Tianmiao and Fei’er arrived at the scene of the incident, a crowd had already gathered. In the center was an abyssal black hole, from which cold winds blew up carrying a faint musty smell. The black hole looked like a giant mouth, seemingly ready to swallow everything around it at any moment.

The sight sent chills down everyone’s spine.

"Why are you here? It’s dangerous," the mayor said with a frown, then looked around, "Who brought her here? Isn’t this making trouble?"

"I came by myself." Tianmiao stepped forward, glanced at the black hole, then at the mayor, "How long has my brother been down there?"

The mayor scolded with a frown, "Take her back immediately. What are you all standing around for?" Then the mayor said to Tianmiao, "Just go back and wait for the news."

"So have you sent anyone down for rescue?" Tianmiao asked, "What news am I supposed to wait for? Bad news?"

The mayor paused. Facing Tianmiao’s gaze, he actually felt a hint of pressure. What a joke, she’s just a child, why would he feel this pressure? He indeed hadn’t sent anyone down for rescue, because the black hole didn’t seem right, and sending people down didn’t seem safe.

"In that case, I’ll go down myself to find my brother." As Tianmiao finished speaking, without waiting for the mayor’s response, and before anyone could react, she took a few steps forward and jumped into the black hole.

Everyone was stunned. They had stayed by the black hole without daring to go down. They had sent someone back to inform the mayor, waiting for him to make a decision. The mayor also hadn’t sent anyone down to investigate or rescue, thinking it was too dangerous. But before they even thought of a good plan, this child under ten years old fearlessly jumped down?

Fei’er was also shocked, and after Tianmiao jumped, she immediately followed and jumped down.

After Fei’er jumped, she felt the sensation of rapid descent and realized things were not good. Her humanoid form couldn’t fly, and her dragon form couldn’t transform in such a narrow space. What should she do? Her human form wasn’t as strong as her dragon form, but it was much more robust than ordinary humans. She would somehow endure the fall, but what about the little one?

What would happen to that soft little one?

Fei’er became anxious and started to shout loudly.

"Tianmiao, Tianmiao! Where are you, answer me!"

As Fei’er shouted, she put a hand on the dagger at her waist, planning that as soon as she caught Tianmiao, she would pull out the dagger and stab it into the cave wall to steady herself.

However, the next moment, she felt a small, soft hand grasp hers. Then, a massive force suddenly stopped her. Her feet were suspended in mid-air, and her entire body swayed.

"Don’t worry, we’re about to land," came Tianmiao’s voice from above.

Then Fei’er felt herself being lowered slowly, until her feet touched solid ground.

"Little Tianmiao, are you okay? What just happened?" Fei’er asked anxiously after stabilizing herself.

"I’m fine. Let’s see where we are first," Tianmiao replied.

Fei’er rummaged in a pouch she carried and took out a small box, opening it to retrieve a bead. The bead emitted a gentle light, slowly illuminating the surroundings. She still couldn’t shake the question in her mind—what just happened? Was it little Tianmiao who saved her? But how was that possible?

"What is this?" Fei’er was stunned as she looked around with wide eyes.

Before her and Tianmiao was a long staircase, and behind them was a cliff that dropped endlessly. Looking up, the staircase seemed to stretch endlessly, leading to an unknown destination.
