Chapter 1069 - 27: Want to See You

Tianmiao followed the trace of black fog, swiftly moving forward, the brighter she walked, the dimmer the surroundings became.

It seems like the monster’s lair is up ahead.

Tianmiao looked up, and there appeared to be a towering tree in front, but it had lost its greenery and was now a dry tree. From afar, the sight of the dried branches stretching out into the air was somewhat eerie.

After walking a bit further, Tianmiao’s expression changed slightly as she heard sounds of fighting ahead. She quickly rushed forward to find a man dressed in black struggling fiercely with a monster.

The monster laughing madly as it attacked the man in black said, "You think you can take me down? A freshly formed little goblin! Submit to me now, serve me faithfully, and in return, I might spare you by only absorbing half of your power!"

"Dream on!" The man in black shouted stubbornly.

Retracting her sword, Tianmiao looked dumbfounded at the giant mushroom lying on the ground. She glanced at her sword, wondering if she hadn’t used her full strength. How did she manage to kill the monster revealing its true form?

Well, so the monster was actually a giant mushroom, it was impossible to tell.

Tianmiao turned to look at the man in black, noticing his somewhat pale face. Concerned, she asked, "Are you okay?"

The man in black squeezed out a smile, starting to say "I’m not..." then with a pop sound vanished, leaving a round black cat in his place.

Tianmiao widened her eyes, staring at the transformed man in black. Is this a cat? It sort of looks like one, yet not quite? What breed is this?

The little black cat on the ground meowed twice at Tianmiao.

Tianmiao squatted down to look at the plump little black cat, thinking it was so round like a ball.

And so black, so much that its limbs were indistinguishable. All you could see were two golden, round eyes like they were embedded in a fluffy black ball.

Round and plump, Tianmiao couldn’t help but want to touch him.

The little black cat twitched its tiny ears, seeing the sparkle in Tianmiao’s eyes. Just who knows Tianmiao’s interests better than him?

"Can you not revert to human form?" Tianmiao asked the little black cat.

The little black cat nodded and meowed, then started writing on the ground with its paw, the letters all round and plump. Making Tianmiao want to pet him again.
