The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop
Chapter 1004 - 30: Waterworld
"What are we playing?" Kong Hou initially wanted to refuse, but suddenly she remembered when she first met her master, she had wished someone could play with her too. So, the refusal turned into asking what they were going to play.
"Playing house. Sister will be the sister, I’ll be the younger sister, and this bear will be our mom." The little girl raised the bear in her hand and grinned. The bear in her hand was very similar to the one Li Jiali made for Kong Hou, except for the bow on its ear. This one was red, and Kong Hou’s was pink.
Sister as the sister? Younger sister as the younger sister?
Aren’t human children a bit too silly?
Kong Hou grumbled in her heart, feeling scornful.
Despite her disdain, Kong Hou still sat down and played with the little girl for a while.
Before long, Li Jiali called the little girl for dinner from downstairs.
The little girl looked at Kong Hou, "Sister, have dinner with us."
"No, I have to go. These are for you." Kong Hou stood up, waved her hand, and beneath her appeared many colorful candies, lots of toys, and several chests. The chests were filled with gold. In most worlds and eras, gold has always been a hard currency. This gold would greatly improve the life of Li Jiali and her family.
"Sister, don’t go." The little girl reached out her hand to hold onto Kong Hou’s dress.
"No, I have to go." Kong Hou tried to untangle the little girl’s hand.
"No, sister, don’t go, wah... sister, don’t go!" The little girl started crying loudly.
Kong Hou’s mouth twitched; human children are really troublesome.
Just then, hearing the crying, Li Jiali rushed up in a hurry.
Kong Hou was startled and was about to cast a spell to leave.
Yet, she heard Li Jiali’s anxious voice calling out.
"Kong Hou, Kong Hou, is it you, is it you! Don’t go, at least let me hug you, okay?"
Kong Hou, hearing this, was taken aback for a moment, and in the next moment, she was enveloped in a warm embrace.
"Kong Hou, it’s really you!" Li Jiali held Kong Hou, her face full of joy.
"It’s me. I have to go now," Kong Hou said softly.
"I know, I know. You don’t belong here." Li Jiali looked at Kong Hou, tears in her eyes, "I knew you would leave eventually. I just wanted to say a proper goodbye and thank you for helping me find my daughter and husband."
"It’s nothing special. Don’t keep crying." Kong Hou reached out her chubby hand to wipe away Li Jiali’s tears. She didn’t know why, but seeing Li Jiali cry made her feel a bit sad inside.
"Okay, I won’t cry anymore." Li Jiali smiled, "Did you come back to see us?"
"Yes, to give you some gifts. You guys have to live well," Kong Hou said.
"Little Kong Hou, you have to live well, very well." Li Jiali hugged little Kong Hou again, full of reluctance.
Got it! You’re so naggy, weak humans! I hate it, making me want to cry too. Kong Hou started grumbling in her heart again.
"Where is sister going? Is sister a little fairy? Going back to heaven?" The little girl asked, puzzled.
"Yeah, I’m going back to heaven. Here, take this, and make sure to listen to your mom, okay!" Little Kong Hou took out a silver bracelet and placed it on the girl’s wrist. The silver bracelet immediately adjusted to fit the little girl’s wrist. It was a small magic treasure that could ward off external harm. In the Cultivation World, things like this were easy to make and not valuable, but in the mortal world, they were invaluable.
