Claudia’s shock lasted exactly two seconds. Then her serpentine eyes narrowed, and a confident smirk curled across her lips.

"Don’t expect this to be like last time," she said. She reached into her storage and withdrew a whip—SHING—a Special Grade weapon, its length woven from dark green serpent leather, each segment inscribed with venomous runes that pulsed with sickly light. The whip coiled in her hand like a living thing, its barbed tip hissing—HISS—with condensed poison mana.

"Unlike last time, I won’t underestimate you."

She whipped out—CRACK—the weapon slicing through the air with blinding speed, its barbed tip aimed at Kael’s throat. The whip carried enough force to split through anything, and the poison coating each barb could paralyze a Peak Spirit Soul cultivator on contact.

Kael activated Heaven’s Mandate Body Art—HUMMM—a dark golden aura covering his body, his reactive armor hardening. He caught the whip mid-strike, his gauntlet hand closing around the barbed length.

His face changed immediately.

A restricting force surged through the whip—FZZT—clamping down on his mana pathways. The Special Grade weapon wasn’t just a physical tool. It was a mana disruption device. The moment Kael’s mana made contact with the whip’s surface, the runes activated, generating a suppression field that targeted his mana flow directly. His mana pathways tightened—SQUEEZE—the energy struggling to circulate.

Before he could let go, Claudia attacked. A poison blast—FWOOM—condensed green energy screaming toward his chest. Kael’s soul power flared, a Soul Shield materializing in front of him—CLANG—the poison blast striking the shield and scattering into harmless vapor. He jumped back—SKRT—releasing the whip.

"Seems you forget I’m not just a mana cultivator," Kael said, his voice steady.

His Spirit Eyes activated—GLOW—the enhanced perception dissecting the whip’s structure. The runes weren’t just poison-based. They operated on a frequency that disrupted mana-based attacks and mana flow on contact. A clever design—effective against 90% of cultivators who relied on mana.

But it couldn’t restrict his aura or soul power.

Kael fired a Soul Spike—FWOOM—a concentrated spear of spiritual energy screaming toward Claudia’s forehead. A tiara materialized on Claudia’s head—HUMMM—a thin band of silver metal set with a green gemstone, radiating soul-based defensive energy. The Soul Spike struck the tiara—CLANG—and was deflected, dissipating into harmless fragments.

Claudia smirked. "Did you really think the I wouldn’t prepare for soul attacks? I’m dealing with you, after all. This Tier 2 soul treasure can block attacks from Soul condensation cultivators. Your little spikes won’t—"

Kael smirked back. "You think just a Tier 2 soul treasure can stop my soul attacks?"

Soul power blazed around him—SURGE—the intensity filling the chamber like a physical pressure. His Mid Soul Condensation realm energy gathered, condensing, shaping itself into another technique he had learned from watching Kaelthas the Soul Weaver through his father’s bloodline memories.

Soul Weaver’s Requiem: Soul Shockwave.

A visible wave of soul energy erupted from his palm—FWOOM—a spreading shockwave that covered the entire chamber. Claudia’s tiara flared—BLAZE—the green gemstone straining against the wave’s pressure. Cracks spread across the tiara’s surface—CRACK, CRACK—the soul energy overwhelming the Tier 2 treasure’s capacity.

Claudia panicked—her eyes widened, her composure cracking.

Kael fired Soul Spike Barrage—FWOOM, FWOOM, FWOOM, FWOOM—four concentrated soul spears launched in rapid succession, each one targeting a different section of the cracking tiara. The first struck—CRACK—the second widened the fracture—CRACK—the third shattered the gemstone and the fourth pierced through the remains, striking Claudia’s spiritual barrier—BOOM.

Claudia screamed—AGH—her soul defense breached, her body staggering. But she was Spirit Soul Rank 8. Her spiritual foundation was deep enough to absorb the damage. She steadied herself, blood trickling from her nose.

Kael moved. Lightning Body activated—CRACKLE—his form blurring with speed. Void Step was faster, but it consumed too much mana. Against a Rank 8 cultivator, he needed every drop. Lightning Body was the practical choice.

He appeared in front of her—FLASH—his gauntlet-enhanced fist driving toward her chest. Shatter-Point Strike—HUMMM—the technique that detected structural weak points. His fist, coated in aura and darkness, aimed at the junction between her spiritual barrier’s thinnest point.

Claudia blocked. An avatar of a massive snake materialized around her body—HUMMM—a translucent green serpent coiling protectively, its scales made of condensed poison mana. Kael’s fist struck the snake avatar—BOOM—the Shatter-Point Strike cracking several scales but failing to penetrate completely. The avatar absorbed the impact, its poison mana eating at his gauntlet’s surface—HISS.

Claudia herself was part snake. Her mother was from the Snake Clan—one of the Royal Beast Clans. The bloodline manifested now, triggered by combat instinct. Her legs merged—SHIFT—fusing into a long, powerful serpentine tail covered in emerald scales. Green runes spread across her face—GLOW—intricate patterns that traced her cheekbones, jaw, and forehead, the markings of a Naga. Her eyes became fully vertical, pupils narrowing to needle-thin lines. Her tongue forked—FORK—flicking the air. Her arms grew scales dark green plates covering her forearms and shoulders. Her nails extended into curved fangs dripping with concentrated venom.

She was half woman, half serpent. A Naga war form—rare even among the Snake Clan.

"This ends now," Claudia hissed, her voice carrying the dual tones of woman and serpent.

Kael looked at her. His silver eyes were calm.

"Yeah," he said. "This ends now."

He had hoped to save his bloodlines for Draxos. The Asura Demon was far more powerful, and Kael needed every advantage he could muster. But Claudia was Spirit Soul Rank 8—a five-rank gap. Even with his physique, soul power, runes, and aura, the gap in raw cultivation was significant. He couldn’t afford to hold back.

He unleashed his bloodlines.

His Astraeon bloodline activated first, primordial darkness flooding his pathways. His black hair shifted, white spreading from the roots to the tips, the color of his father’s hair, the mark of an Astraeon heir at sixty percent awakening. His silver eyes blazed brighter—GLOW—the luminous intensity increasing until they seemed to emit their own light.

Then the Asura bloodline followed—CRACK—two dark horns curving upward from his temples, black with dark red veins pulsing through them. His canines extended—LENGTHEN—his physical density increasing, his body growing denser, heavier, harder. Demonic energy coated his skin in a faint dark shimmer.

The two bloodlines coexisted—HUMMM—primordial darkness and Asura demonic energy intertwining without conflict, stabilized by the Void Sovereign Physique. The combined aura was suffocating—PRESS—a pressure that made the poisonous plants in the chamber wither and die, their toxic energy consumed by the ambient darkness.

Claudia’s expression changed.

Her confident smirk evaporated. Her vertical pupils dilated.

Her hands trembled. The Snake Clan’s survival instincts screamed at her.

"What... what are you?" Claudia whispered, her voice stripped of its earlier confidence.

But Kael wasn’t done.

His hands formed a seal—HUMMM—and darkness erupted from his body. A concentrated, living darkness that wrapped around his form like a second skin. The Shadow God Transformation activated—FWOOM—the technique he had used on Planet Hevaria, but amplified now by his Spirit Soul Rank 3 cultivation, his Mid Soul Condensation soul power, and the Astraeon bloodline at 60%.

Shadow God Transformation, First Form: Fiend.

The darkness solidified; forming a full-body dark armor that covered Kael from head to toe. Claws extended from the gauntlet’s fingertips dripping with dark flame. A crown of black horns manifested above his head, a crown of darkness that pulsed with Slaughter Intent overlapping his asura horns.

His eyes, visible through the armor’s visor, glowed silver. His aura doubled, the Fiend form amplifying all darkness and shadow abilities by 150%.

The chamber darkened.

Kael stood in the center of the chamber, a being of darkness, fire, and ancient malice.

But Kael felt like he could handle even more power.

His hands formed a second seal—HUMMM—and the Heart of the Carnage Deity activated. Slaughter Intent flooded his bloodstream, the cold, desolate will compressed into his pathways. But this time, he didn’t stop there. He pulled the Wrath Intent—the secondary intent born from his newly integrated Asura bloodline—and wove it into the same technique.

Two intents. Fused together in his blood like twin serpents devouring each other’s tails.

The effect was violent. His body shook—TREMBLE—the combined intents amplifying his physical output beyond what either could achieve alone. His eyes shifted, the silver irises gaining a ring of crimson around the edges, the mark of dual-intent infusion. His aura exploded—FWOOM—the Fiend armor cracking and reforming denser, darker, the purple-black veins widening as Demonic Asura Fire responded to the intensified intent.

Power surged through him. The limiter on his body was obliterated.

Kael looked at Claudia through his visor. An evil smirk curled beneath the dark faceplate.

He brought out the Shadow Slayer blades—SHING, SHING—the twin blades singing as they cleared their sheaths. The Blood-Iron Alloy drank the combined energies—Slaughter Intent, Wrath Intent, Demonic Asura Fire, darkness, demonic mana—the blades vibrating so intensely they blurred.
