Yun Yi got out of the car first, intending to open the door for Rongyue, but she had already gotten out herself.

Yun Yi bent his arm, "Let’s go in."

They arrived quite late; by the time they got there, everyone else was already present, holding glasses of red wine, chatting in small groups.

"I thought you two were not coming."

Lu Yun was pushed out by his assistant, and upon seeing Rongyue standing there, a flicker of amazement flashed in his eyes.

"Little Yueyue looks stunning tonight." The pink crabapple flower Qipao was form-fitting and youthful; being tall and with crystal high heels made her elegantly graceful.

"Naturally!"

Rongyue was quite confident in her appearance.

"Let’s go, Mr. Zhang and Mr. Li have arrived." He paused, "They heard you’re coming and are awaiting your arrival."

"I’ll go meet them first."

"I’ll skip it; you go on ahead."

Lu Yun then called a maid over, "Miss Ye is my niece, take good care of her, don’t let her be wronged."

Rongyue looked speechless; how could she possibly be wronged?

After Yun Yi and Lu Yun left, she found a less crowded spot to sit down. These gatherings were quite dull, especially since she hardly knew anyone here and had no one to converse with.

"Bring me a glass of apple juice."

Rongyue glanced around, thinking she should have tricked Aunt Yun into coming along; sitting idly was so boring.

"Came here with Yun Yi; could she be his girlfriend?"

"If not, then who is this woman?"

One woman in a white dress seemed annoyed. "Impossible, surely not Yun Yi’s girlfriend. After all, Madam Yun had been setting him up for dates; if she were, why would Madam Yun continue doing that?"

Her cousin had said that this woman’s background couldn’t be found at all.

Given the Ding Family’s influence in the Capital City, finding out about someone should be straightforward, but not even finding out about one woman suggests either her status is too low or past so trivial that it’s been erased.
