The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Chapter 825 - 728: Ruthless and Laconic (Part 2)

At this hour, although the peak dining time for customers had passed, there were still some customers lingering in the restaurant.

As more people came over to settle their bills, they saw the commotion and immediately started to gather around with interest, unafraid of a scene.

In truth, customers are psychologically inclined to side with fellow customers.

After all, most customers visit to dine, and if they’re dissatisfied, eighty percent of the time, it’s the restaurant’s problem.

Perhaps the dishes don’t taste right, or the ingredients aren’t fresh—they’re scrimping on ingredients, or the service isn’t up to par.

People spending money to dine in want to enjoy both a satisfying taste and excellent service.

Who would spend money to come from far away just to have a bad experience?

So, the onlooking customers instinctively believed the words of the male customer a bit more.

Especially those who had never ordered takeout from this restaurant—upon hearing complaints about skimping, they too became indignant.

Fu Yu suddenly stepped forward and, with a casual motion, managed to pull the robust and tall male customer aside.

The scene was undeniably shocking!

The main reason being that Fu Yu seemed like a typical "muscular when shirtless, slim in clothes" type of guy, scholarly in appearance, seemingly not the strong brute type.

His appearance directly startled everyone around.

To easily pull away a nearly two-meter-tall brawny man, well, that takes a lot of strength.

The male customer was taken aback by Fu Yu’s assertiveness, suddenly pulled to the side, momentarily unable to react.

Fu Yu seized the opportunity and said to Jiang Mo, "Bring out this customer’s takeout order. Let me have a look."

Jiang Mo’s eyes were red. She took a deep breath, gave Fu Yu a grateful glance, nodded, and quickly began to search through the takeout orders.

Meanwhile, the male customer charged forward again, just about to speak, when Fu Yu turned his head and stared straight at him.

The male customer froze, cold shivers running up the back of his head from Fu Yu’s steely gaze.

Fu Yu, with a sharp look, said coldly, "Let me see the takeout order first, then you can speak."

This was a move to help handle the situation.

The male customer, with a dour face, fell silent.

Because Fu Yu was justified and had the upper hand, he had nothing to say.

A moment later, Jiang Mo found the male customer’s takeout order. It was a printed version detailing the ordered dishes and any notes.

After Fu Yu looked it over, his brows furrowed deeply.

Jiang Mo looked at the male customer with a sneer, and loudly said, "You ordered four seafood barbecue takeout items: a small portion of charcoal-grilled oysters, classic grilled eel, a small portion of fragrant grilled octopus, and special grilled plaice fillets."

"The charcoal-grilled oysters you ordered are a small portion, which comprises five oysters per serving, as clearly specified when you ordered."

"Our restaurant’s oysters are fresh and vibrant, purchased daily. Be it size or taste, they’re authentic. There’s been no skimping."

"I clearly explained this to you when you approached me earlier."

At this point, Jiang Mo sneered and asked the male customer: "You said my service attitude is bad? Fine, did you note on your takeout order that you were dining in, not needing packaging or additional condiments? You tried to save money by dining in without ordering directly from us; who arranged for it to be served on a plate? If you had a conscience, you wouldn’t be causing trouble here!"

"You said my service attitude was bad, but when you came by earlier, didn’t I explain that the quantity of small seafood takeout portions differs from large ones because of the price difference?"

"Our restaurant marks exact seafood quantities and even weight prices clearly on the takeout platform menu, for both large and small portions."

"If you didn’t pay attention when ordering, you come here to make a fuss, and I explain it to you, yet you refuse to listen. So, what should be done now?"

After all, Jiang Mo is a young woman, having someone point fingers at her like this naturally made her very upset!

She once worked as an order taker, and now she’s in charge of the seafood barbecue takeout orders—she’s articulate.

Every word spoken now is justified and sharp, leaving the male customer with no face to save.

And the surrounding customers upon hearing this, couldn’t help but snicker.

What kind of person is he?

He’s dining in the restaurant but quibbles over some discount change?

He even ordered takeout while dining in the restaurant.

During the New Year period, Qianlima participated in a promotion organized by the takeout platform, allowing customers to enjoy discounts if they purchased the platform’s monthly card.

But acting in such a cheap way was somewhat degrading.

Seeing the situation, the male customer was suddenly at a loss for words, his face flushed as he tried to rebut.

After all, the situation had already been stirred up to this point. He didn’t fear disgrace—having come this far, he must demand an explanation!

Let the commotion grow, the bigger the better. After all, he’s an anarchist, not afraid of trouble, right?

However, just then, two people rushed in from outside. From their looks and age, they appeared to be sisters.

The younger one, having heard Jiang Mo and the male customer’s exchange, was infuriated, pointing and chastising the male customer sternly, "Shen Yang! What’s the matter with you? Today is the first time meeting my parents, and this is how you host them?"

With one question, everyone suddenly understood—they were in a relationship!

The older woman hurriedly moved to pull Shen Yang, "What are you doing! Really!!"

The younger girl turned and ran back to the private room to find her parents.

The older woman sighed at Shen Yang—how could she not understand her brother?

Always idle, he does nothing productive.

He only relies on his looks, deceiving young girls.

In his twenties, without even a steady job.

All his living expenses rely on his parents’ pensions and her support as his sister.

Fortunately, he was lucky to meet a romantic girl. The two had been together, on and off, for over a year. Today was the first time meeting the parents.

His parents had even given him money specifically for this meeting, to host them properly.

As his sister, she of course chipped in some extra cash, fearing the restaurant’s quality might cause embarrassment for the girl’s parents.

Unexpectedly, despite having entered to dine, Shen Yang still managed to pull a stunt like this.

Sitting in the restaurant and ordering takeout on top of that is mortifying!

No wonder earlier, when the server brought the platter, there were just a few grilled oysters on a tiny plate.

Out of two families, totaling seven people, only five oysters—who hosts meals like this?

This is just unseemly!

A little sense, and would you act like this?

Saving money is good, but there’s a time and place, isn’t there?

Especially since Shen Yang is not the type to know how to save!

Moreover, she wasn’t aware of how much money their parents gave, but what she contributed was crystal clear.

Not just enough for a meal at Qianlima, even multiple meals were covered!

Additionally, ordering takeout secretly, well at least keep it discreet, without drawing attention!

Now it’s out in the open, with the girlfriend aware, how embarrassing, how humiliating is that?

Earlier at the table, she had already hinted, urging Shen Yang to step out and add two more dishes to remedy the earlier oversight.

At the time, she presumed Shen Yang had simply ordered the wrong dish, or thought the restaurant might have been shortchanging.

No one ever anticipated this takeout issue.

What sort of day was this supposed to be?

If the girl’s parents were satisfied after meeting, the next step would be for both families to meet.

And what does that mean, don’t they know?
