The Boys: Viltrumite Bloodline Panel

Chapter 129: The New Empire and Reproduction

  • Next Chapter

It never ceases to amaze me: we all love ourselves more than other people, but care more about their opinion than our own.

~ Marcus Aurelius

_____

"Those willing to come with me... Step forward."

The words faded.

After a brief silence,

Belesa was the first to fly behind Hillel.

Then came tens of thousands of Viltrumites.

Everyone Hillel had saved chose to follow him, holding not the slightest doubt about Hillel’s battle records, only endless trust and fanaticism.

The king had given them a second life.

Wherever the king went, they would follow!

Hillel smiled with satisfaction.

Thragg, go live your days guarding a pile of junk. After the scourge virus ran rampant, Thragg only had fifty Viltrumites under his command.

Over here, he had more than fifty thousand!

Once my grand reproduction plan starts, you, Thragg, will instantly turn into a beggar... No, you won’t even be as good as a beggar!

"Very good."

"Then... let’s set off!"

The next instant.

Tens of thousands of streams of light entered warp simultaneously.

...

On the surface.

Conquest’s consciousness was groggy. He felt the weakness within his body fading, and a familiar voice came from his ears.

That was Hillel.

The two had fought fiercely for decades; he could not mistake it.

His former opponent had actually extended a helping hand to him.

"A warrior should not die on a sickbed. I look forward to the day we meet again to fight you once more!"

Hillel’s voice reached his ears.

"The day we meet again? Is he... leaving?!"

Amidst his grogginess, Conquest only felt a supreme sorrow enshroud him.

Then he heard Thragg’s voice.

And then, the two went far away, and the surrounding Viltrumites also chased after them.

In place, only he remained alone.

"No!!"

Conquest sat up with a start.

"You’re awake!" Thragg floated in mid-air, covered in injuries.

"Where is Hillel?"

Conquest didn’t even care about his severed wrist, only asking about Hillel’s whereabouts.

"He’s not dead," Thragg said indifferently. "We fought to a draw. He took tens of thousands of Viltrumites, betrayed the empire, and has already left!"

Betrayed?

Conquest floated opposite Thragg, clenching his remaining fist. Power surged within his body; where was there any weakness from the virus?

Hillel had cured him and hadn’t let him die on a sickbed.

His former opponent had guarded his honor.

"I don’t believe it!" Conquest shook his head.

"Believe it or not, this is the fact." Thragg didn’t explain much and flew away directly.

Conquest punched the ground heavily.

In the following days, Conquest beat people up upon seeing them, turning gloomy to the extreme. His dwelling became even more remote, and he never listened to the Regent’s orders, often disappearing for months at a time.

...

Hillel had no idea that in order to find him, Conquest was searching the Universe almost inch by inch.

But how vast was the Universe? Without precise coordinates, even if he flew until the end of his lifespan, it would be impossible to find Hillel.

On the other side.

Leading tens of thousands of Viltrumites, Hillel crossed the long sea of stars and finally stopped before an orange-red Planet.

This Planet was a dependency of Viltrum, called Orantis.

The race on the Planet was named the Tivar, an intelligent species whose bodies were covered in a layer of crystal-bright carapace. Their civilization was quite advanced, and their technological level was almost capable of building a Dyson sphere.

However, they had built metal rings orbiting the Planet instead of harnessing stellar energy.

The reason was very simple: harnessing it was useless anyway.

The iron hooves of the Viltrum Empire had once stepped here.

No matter how advanced the technology was, it couldn’t compare to brute force flying through space.

Orantis was a colony Planet, and to this day, a Viltrumite was still stationed there as the empire’s overseer.

As soon as Hillel’s fleet appeared, that Viltrumite perceived it.

He flew high into the sky, frowning as he stared at this pitch-black mass.

"Who are you people?"

He sternly demanded, "The empire’s troops must not be mobilized without authorization! State your designations! Who is in charge?"

Hillel hovered at the very front, not even glancing at him.

He waved his hand.

Just a simple gesture like that.

Belesa and Cassandra instantly understood.

Two figures shot out simultaneously from left and right.

Before that Viltrumite could even react, two afterimages flashed past him.

Puff.

Belesa’s hand blade pierced through his chest, while Cassandra severed his head and brought it back to present to Hillel.

"Crush it!"

Hillel waved his hand.

The empire’s overseer couldn’t even finish a complete sentence before being chopped into several pieces, and his head was forcibly crushed to pieces.

On that metal ring, countless Tivar watching from afar were dumbfounded.

On their technological screens, Hillel’s face was directly magnified. The fifty thousand Viltrumites behind him were enough to conquer the entire Universe!

"What... what is going on?"

The leader of the Tivar was an elderly man whose body carapace shimmered with a golden light. He trembled as he flew high into the sky.

On Hillel’s chest wasn’t three stripes, but a bright red V.

The old man’s heart skipped a beat.

"My name is Hillel."

Hillel instantly appeared before the old man. "Starting today, I am the new leader of the Viltrumites."

"The old era that enslaved you has ended."

"I’m making an announcement! Starting today, Orantis is liberated!!"

Huh?

The Tivar found it hard to believe.

Liberated from whose hands? And by whom would they be enslaved next?

"But liberation does not mean indulgence. I grant you freedom, allow you to expand, and act under my honor!"

Hillel said loudly. "I allow you to voice different opinions, but you must accept my rule. From now on, fight for my glory!"

He opened his arms, overlooking the awe-struck faces beneath his feet.

"Listen well!"

"Under the shimmering lights of countless stars, wherever my gaze reaches is my territory."

"Wherever the edge of my blade points are my subjects."

"Those who submit to me, I shall protect with the glory of the empire, prosperous for generations!"

"I shall establish an alliance!"

"Uniting all forces that can be united, from now on, there will be no more oppression!"

The Tivar old man knelt.

What glory of the empire?

It was merely new enslavement!

But this did not prevent all the Tivar from kneeling down, offering devout blessings.

"Great Hillel!"

"Great new empire!"

Mountain-shouting and tsunami-like worship echoed throughout the Planet.

Hillel hovered in mid-air, with the ramparts of the empire floating behind him.

...

Orantis became the first cornerstone of Hillel’s new empire.

He did not send overseers to enslave the Tivar.

Quite the contrary.

He gave the Tivar unprecedented treatment.

He retained the Tivar’s autonomy, allowing them to develop their civilization within the framework of the empire, and signed treaties of non-interference in development.

He even selected a few mild-tempered Viltrumites from his followers to stay behind as The Guardians to protect the Planet from foreign enemies.

Of course, the primary task was reproduction.

Leaving a few on each Planet, the fifty thousand Viltrumites had to population-boom to hundreds of thousands, or even millions.

Thragg, right!?

By then, millions of people will take turns dealing with you!

Actually, Thragg didn’t have that much face.

Mainly because having come to the World of invincible, Hillel felt that he should also have some of his own famine... career!
