The Boys: Viltrumite Bloodline Panel
Chapter 124: The scourge virus Runs Rampant
To predict the behavior of ordinary people in advance, you only have to assume that they will always try to escape a disagreeable situation with the smallest possible expenditure of intelligence.
~ Friedrich Nietzsche

Hillel spent half a year subduing all the female Viltrumites who approached him, the kind who were utterly devoted.
There was just one problem.
These people insisted on having children for him!
And there was no stopping them.
Hillel let nature take its course, but thanks to the power of their bloodlines, getting pregnant wasn’t that simple.
Seeing this, Hillel set his mind at ease and continued training his strength, preparing himself to challenge Thragg.
You, Thragg, can sit on a golden toilet... Ah no, a golden throne, why can’t I, Hillel, sit on one?
Who cares about waiting for Emperor Argall’s bloodline.
I am the true emperor!
On this day, Hillel spent the night at Belesa’s place as usual. Just before dawn, the woman in his arms suddenly trembled violently.
Hillel woke up instantly.
With bones broken and tendons connected, how could he not wake up?
He looked down, and Belesa, who had been sleeping peacefully in his arms, was so pale that she lacked a trace of color.
Dark red bloodlines were slowly seeping from her facial orifices, and even her body’s muscles were spasming completely out of control.
Belesa opened her eyes with a look of agony on her face.
"My... My love... I feel like something is wrong!" she spoke with difficulty.
The female warrior was at a loss, not knowing what was happening to her.
Hillel’s pupils constricted.
He instantly understood what had happened.
The scourge virus!
But it shouldn’t have leaked from him. After all, he had lived on Planet Viltrum for several decades; if it were him, the virus should have broken out completely long ago.
Thaddeus had finally made a move after all!
This old fellow first assassinated Argall, indirectly leading to The Great Purge, and now he had released the scourge virus, executing an eradication plan against his own kin.
Belesa was probably not the first person to show symptoms.
Hillel heard the rising and falling screams echoing across the Planet.
"Damn it, this mother fucking Thaddeus!"
Without a shred of hesitation, Hillel pressed down on Belesa, placing his palm over her chest.
Super-speed Healing!
Through his senses, Hillel could clearly see that Belesa’s originally perfect gene chain within her body was being torn, disintegrated, and even collapsed bit by bit by a raging virus.
If it were an ordinary person, they would have long since turned into a pool of blood.
It was only because Viltrumites possessed tough bodies that they could hold out for a while.
Super-speed Healing worked against the direction of the virus’s disintegration, piecing back together, repairing, and then stabilizing Belesa’s collapsed genes bit by bit.
Until antibodies were produced.
The initial version of the scourge virus was not perfect; as long as the Viltrumites could endure the early stage, antibodies would naturally be produced afterwards.
Time ticked away second by second.
Belesa slowly calmed down, her complexion no longer pale and regaining its color.
She panted heavily, gripping Hillel’s arm tightly.
"I... I’m okay now?" She had thought she was going to die.
Although these days she experienced something every night, this feeling of being ravaged by the virus was completely different.
"You’re fine!"
Hillel looked out the window. What fell from the sky wasn’t necessarily rain; it might just be Viltrumites.
At this moment, a large number of Viltrumites were falling from mid-air.
This was only the beginning.
Since the scourge virus had already been released, soon, all Viltrumites across the Planet would face the same fate.
Including his tens of thousands of followers.
Before the virus, everyone was equal.
Sure enough.
As soon as dawn broke, people began coming to his door one after another.
Relying on an almost instinctive intuition, the Viltrumites who followed Hillel went to find him the moment they felt something was wrong with their bodies.
After all, Hillel had demonstrated that miraculous healing ability.
When they arrived, their states varied.
Some people had strong physiques, and the virus acted slowly on them. By the time they found Hillel, these people were only somewhat weak.
But others were not so fortunate.
Hillel watched with his own eyes as a once fiercely ferocious female warrior bled from her seven orifices and suffered gene collapse right in front of him. She flew into mid-air only to fall back down, still calling out his name.
At that moment, Hillel’s expression sank completely.
Without being immersed in it, who could feel the cruelty of a species being exterminated, and how many Viltrumites were being slaughtered by Thaddeus.
He was no stranger to Death.
In this hunting ground, the number of Viltrumites he personally sent away was no less than ten thousand.
But those were Viltrumites who died in battle, losing to stronger opponents, and they died convinced and willing.
But now it was different.
They did not die in battle, but rather from an indiscriminate plague. They didn’t even know who their enemy was, and just died like that without any dignity.
Survival of the fittest?
No, this was Carnage!
The Great Purge, it was time for it to end!
"All of you, come to me."
Hillel stood up, clenching his fists, his voice carrying an unquestionable power.
"Go, everyone who can still move, bring all the afflicted compatriots over. A king will not abandon his subjects!"
"Hurry!"
His followers didn’t understand why, but they still executed his command.
Belesa went out with them as well.
Soon, a large number of Viltrumites gathered atop a ruin.
Some could still stand steady, while others had already collapsed into their companions’ arms, blood seeping from their facial orifices, on the verge of Death.
Hillel stood in their center.
He wanted to use his own strength to fight against an entire scourge virus.
Hillel took a deep breath. There were at least several thousand Viltrumites present, and he needed to output his power in one breath.
WOOSH!
A warm current of healing surged into the bodies of everyone present, beginning to repair their collapsed genes.
Seeing this, a Viltrumite in the distance tried to fly over, but was struck in the chest by Belesa with a hand-blade.
"Despicable villain! You make an enemy of the King, yet you still dare to covet his glory! Believe it or not, I’ll..."
Belesa’s hand was raised high, but before it could fall, she was interrupted by Hillel.
"Let him go, Belesa!"
Hillel didn’t even raise his head.
"But... he is an enemy!" Belesa wanted to strangle this young man.
"The Great Purge is over, I said so!" Hillel raised his eyes to glance at her, causing Belesa to subconsciously step back.
"The Viltrumites who can still stand upon the ruins today are all my kinsmen; there are no enemies here!"
Hillel looked at the young man, finding him a bit familiar. "What is your name?"
The young man had long known of Hillel’s reputation. There was not much cowardice in his eyes, only a hint of entreaty.
"Great Hillel, my name is Nolan, and I have come here to beg you to save my father!"
Nolan?
Which Nolan?
The Omni Man!?
Hillel’s eyebrows twitched.
The era when Nolan was active should have been the end of The Great Purge, right when he encountered the scourge virus.
Oh, it seemed to match up.
"Audacious!"
Belesa roared.
Yet Nolan refused to back down, his chest flesh torn, missing his heart by just a fraction.
"Alright."
Just when Nolan thought he was going to be rejected, Hillel spoke, and he instantly felt as if he had been granted a pardon.
"Your name is Nolan, right? Quite an interesting young man. The scourge virus is ineffective against you.."
The genes within Nolan’s body were stable, without the slightest sign of collapse.
