Chapter 315: I See a Celebrity In Our House

The doorbell rang, pulling Sienna and the others out of their conversation.

’Zach...’ Sienna felt relieved that he had finally arrived.

She had been waiting for him, and after the conversation she had just had with her aunt and uncle, she was curious to see their reaction when they finally met him.

"Sienna, I think that’s your husband. He has arrived," Maya said, glancing toward the hallway. She was about to stand up when Sienna quickly interrupted her.

"Aunty, let me open the door," Sienna said hurriedly as she stood.

She quickly walked toward the hallway, secretly worried that Maya might open the door herself and faint the moment she saw Zachary Sterling standing outside.

Maya and Jimmy had already risen from their seats. They exchanged a nervous glance before turning their attention back toward the hallway.

Both of them were curious about the man Sienna had married, especially after hearing so much about him throughout the afternoon. They had been wondering what kind of person he was, and now they were finally about to meet him.

At the same time, Skylar, who had been asleep on the sofa in front of the television, woke up at the sound of the doorbell. He rubbed his eyes and looked around the room sleepily before asking, "Has my dad arrived?"

Maya immediately turned toward him and smiled. "Yes, dear. He’s here."

Skylar instantly became more awake. He sat up on the sofa and rubbed his heavy eyes again, looking much more interested now that he knew his father had arrived.

Maya smiled at the sight of him before turning her attention back toward the hallway.

A moment later, footsteps could be heard approaching, followed by Sienna’s voice as she chatted with a man. Their conversation grew louder and clearer as they approached the living room.

Maya leaned toward Jimmy and whispered, "Jim, why am I so nervous about meeting Sienna’s husband?"

Jimmy smiled and glanced briefly at his wife.

"Don’t be nervous. He’s the one who should be nervous about meeting us. We’re like parents to Sienna. So, her husband might consider us his in-laws..." He gently patted Maya’s back, trying to calm her down, although he was beginning to feel nervous himself.

"Ah... You are right... You are right..." Maya said, trying to calm herself.

But then—

The next moment, Sienna appeared in the doorway, with Zachary beside her.

Jimmy saw the man he had just seen on television; all the confidence he had been trying to maintain vanished. His eyes widened, and for a moment he could hardly believe what he was seeing.

The tall, handsome man standing beside Sienna was Zachary Sterling. There was no mistaking him. He was his former big boss, the same man whose marriage had just been announced on the afternoon news.

’Oh, my god! Did my eyes try to trick me?’

Jimmy blinked several times, hoping that his eyes were somehow playing a trick on him. However, the man standing in front of him remained exactly the same. It really was Zachary Sterling.

Before Jimmy could say anything, Maya suddenly leaned closer to him.

"J-Jim, please, please pinch me. I feel like my imagination is running wild right now."

Jimmy frowned and looked at his wife, who was still staring straight ahead at Zachary.

"W-What do you mean?"

"I see a celebrity in our house. Zachary Sterling." Maya grabbed Jimmy’s arm and looked up at him with wide eyes. "Oh my God, I think I’m losing my mind. He even smiled at me. Did you see that? I think I’ve really lost my mind now."

Jimmy stared at her for a moment before looking back at Zachary.

"So, you see him too?"

"Yes. Yes!" Maya nodded quickly, tightening her grip on Jimmy’s arm as her knees began to feel weak. "That’s why I need you to pinch me. I need to wake up from this wild imagination before I embarrass myself."

Jimmy looked at his wife in disbelief. "Maya, I don’t think you’re imagining him. He really is standing in our living room."

Maya’s eyes widened even more. "Then why is Zachary Sterling in our house?"

Jimmy opened his mouth, but no answer came out. He was still trying to connect everything they had discussed earlier. They had spent the entire afternoon wondering who Sienna’s mysterious husband was. They had even discussed Zachary’s marriage after seeing the news, only to discover that the man they had been gossiping about was now standing in front of them.

Zachary and Sienna watched the amusing exchange between the couple, and both could only smile.

Sienna decided to give her uncle and aunt some time to process their shock. She knew this was probably more surprising than anything they had imagined, and she didn’t want to make things even more overwhelming by immediately explaining everything.

"My love," Zachary’s soft voice finally pulled her attention back to him. He looked at her with a small, amused smile. "Why didn’t you introduce me to them?"

Sienna looked up into his eyes and tried not to laugh at the situation.

"Let them process their shock first. I think they need a little time to—"

She couldn’t finish her sentence because Skylar had already rushed toward them.

"Dad!" Skylar called happily as he ran over and wrapped his arms around Zachary.

Zachary immediately smiled and bent down slightly to embrace his son. He gently smoothed Skylar’s messy hair and looked at his sleepy face. "You look like you just woke up."

The little boy nodded and rubbed his eyes again. "Yes. I was sleepy after eating so much. Grandaunt cooks delicious food, and I couldn’t stop eating."

Sienna couldn’t help but chuckle when she heard him. "You certainly didn’t stop yourself from eating, did you?"

Skylar shook his head with a completely serious expression. "I liked everything she cooked."

Maya, who had been standing in shock only moments earlier, couldn’t help smiling when she heard Skylar. Her attention briefly shifted from Zachary to the little boy, and seeing him happily talk to his father made the situation feel a little less overwhelming.
