Chapter 310: My Only Family

"Oh, it must be Sienna," Jimmy said excitedly.

He quickly walked over to check the intercom screen, and a smile spread across his face at the thought of finally seeing his niece again.

However, the smile disappeared almost immediately when he looked at the screen and saw the man standing there.

"Huh? Why is Mr. Arthur the one coming?" Jimmy asked in confusion. He quickly pressed the button to open the building entrance.

Maya walked over to her husband and looked at the intercom screen.

"Mr. Arthur, come with Sienna?" She leaned closer to get a better look at the screen, then her eyes widened. "Oh my God... so Sienna really did marry Mr. Arthur? She came with him to officially meet us..."

"Yes, it seems so," Jimmy replied quietly. He looked at his wife, who appeared just as shocked as he was.

For a moment, neither of them knew what to say. They had previously suspected that Arthur was Sienna’s husband, but now he was standing outside their apartment, confirming this.

Maya shook her head, trying to push away all the thoughts racing through her mind. She knew they shouldn’t jump to conclusions before hearing the truth from Sienna, even though the situation certainly made their earlier suspicion seem more likely.

"Alright, alright, let’s pretend we don’t know anything and act natural," Maya said, taking a small breath as she tried to compose herself. "Let’s not overreact when they arrive. We can ask Sienna about everything calmly."

"Hmm, yeah, that’s a good idea," Jimmy said, nodding firmly.

They exchanged a look, both trying to prepare themselves for the arrival of Sienna and the man they had just spent the morning discussing.

Maya straightened her clothes and glanced toward the kitchen. At the same time, Jimmy remained near the intercom for another moment before finally stepping away.

They had been eager to welcome Sienna into their home. Still, now that she was apparently arriving with her husband, neither of them could help but feel a mix of excitement, curiosity, and concern about the conversation about to take place.

Sienna held Skylar’s hand as they entered the elevator, feeling excited about finally seeing Jimmy and Maya again after so long.

She had thought about this visit several times, and now that she was finally on her way to their apartment, she couldn’t help feeling a little nervous too.

There was something special about seeing the two people who had always treated her with kindness, especially after everything that had happened in the past.

Sienna recalled their last encounter, which had been far from pleasant. During that visit, her father had caused trouble at the Adams family residence when debt collectors arrived to seize the house.

She still remembered how embarrassed she had felt in front of Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Maya because of her father’s shameless behavior. In the end, she had been forced to pay her father’s debt again just to settle the situation.

’Stop dwelling on it, Sienna. That’s behind you now. There’s no need to keep remembering it.’ She shook her head gently, trying to put those unpleasant memories aside.

Today was supposed to be different. She wasn’t coming to see them because of another problem. This time, she was coming to introduce them to the family she had built and to share the good things happening in her life.

"Mommy, did you say we’re going to meet your Uncle?" Skylar asked, breaking the silence. His curious eyes were fixed on Sienna as he waited for her answer.

Sienna nodded, a smile tugging at her lips. "Yes, sweetheart. They’re the only family I have left. You can call them Granduncle Jimmy and Grandaunt Maya."

"Okay, Mommy. I’ll remember that..." Skylar nodded solemnly as if she had given him an important task.

"Oh, right, Mommy." He looked up at Sienna again, suddenly remembering another question. "Does my granduncle have children?"

"Yes, they have. Two children, a boy and a girl. They’re only a little older than you, so you may be able to play with them."

"Ooo, I love to hear that. It’s going to be fun playing with them. Oh, I think I like them already," Skylar said happily, as he decided that he liked his mother’s cousins even when he hadn’t met them. He then turned to Arthur.

"Arthur, you should have told me earlier so I could prepare gifts for them."

Arthur smiled at the young boy’s serious expression. "Young master, don’t worry. Madam has already prepared it. For you to give it." He lifted the paper bags to show the presents they had brought.

Skylar looked at the bag and seemed satisfied. "Good. Then I can give it to them when we meet."

Sienna stifled a smile as she watched her son’s excitement. She found him adorable whenever he took small things so passionately.

The elevator soon reached their floor, and the doors opened automatically. Sienna took Skylar’s hand again as they stepped out.

Arthur walked a few paces ahead of them because he already knew the place well. After all, he had been the one who helped arrange for Sienna’s family to settle in the apartment, so he was familiar with the building and the way to their door.

As they reached the apartment, Sienna slowed down. Her heart began beating a little faster as she looked at the familiar door. She had been looking forward to this moment for a long time, and now that it was finally happening, she felt a mixture of happiness and nervousness.

She raised her hand and pressed the doorbell.

A few moments later, the sound of the lock turning came from inside. The door opened, and Maya and Jimmy appeared before her.

For a moment, Sienna simply stood there, looking at them.

Seeing their familiar faces after so long made her eyes well up with happy tears. All the memories she had been trying to push aside suddenly felt far less important.

What mattered now was that she was finally standing in front of the two people she had missed so much.

"Aunty Maya... Uncle Jimmy..." Sienna greeted them, her voice slightly unsteady with emotion.
