Chapter 301: The Grand Opening (2)

At four in the afternoon, The Secret Garden Café and Resto finally opened its doors for the grand opening.

For that special first day, Sienna and Ava decided to accept only invited guests. The restaurant and café would officially open to the public the following day.

The guests arrived one by one, and Sienna welcomed them as warmly as she could. Some of them were people she didn’t recognize because they were Ava’s family members and friends.

Before long, the tables in the cafe and restaurant area were beginning to fill up, making the place feel much livelier than Sienna had expected.

Only a few tables in the VIP room upstairs had been empty, reserved for Sienna’s family and the guests who had not arrived yet. She occasionally checked the entrance, wondering when they would come.

When she started worrying that they might be late, a familiar car finally stopped near the entrance.

Sienna’s expression immediately softened when she recognized it.

"My little sweetheart is finally here."

She watched happily as Skylar stepped out of the car with Butler Arthur beside him. However, what caught her attention was the enormous bouquet of flowers in Skylar’s arms. The bouquet was almost as big as his small body, and he struggled slightly to carry it while walking toward her.

Sienna couldn’t help laughing when she saw him, but she quickly stifled it.

"Mommy!" Skylar called happily as he hurried toward her.

"Thank you for coming, sweetheart." Sienna opened her arms and welcomed him.

"Mommy, congratulations. I bought a beautiful flower bouquet just for you... I hope you like it," Skylar said proudly as he handed her the bouquet.

Sienna’s heart warmed as she accepted it. She looked at the blooming and colorful flowers, at how beautiful they were, then at her son, who watched her with a proud smile.

"Oh, sweetheart, these flowers are so pretty." She leaned down and kissed his forehead. "Thank you. You picked them yourself?"

Skylar nodded seriously. "Yes, of course. I wanted to get you the biggest and most awesome flowers because your restaurant is big and awesome too."

"Is that why you brought such a huge bouquet?"

"Yes. Arthur said they were almost as big as me."

Sienna glanced at Arthur, who smiled politely from behind them. "Well, he wasn’t wrong."

Skylar looked at the flowers and then at his mother. "Do you like them, Mommy?"

"I really love them. They’re perfect...thank you, my son." Sienna smiled warmly before taking his hand. "Alright, come inside. I’ll show you my office before we go upstairs for dinner."

"Really? I can see your office?"

"Yes..."

"Let’s go, Mom, I want to see your office," Skylar said happily.

Sienna glanced at Arthur and asked him to follow them before taking her son’s hand and leading him inside.

As they walked through the café, Skylar looked around curiously, taking in the tables, counters, decorations, and staff who were busy serving guests.

He seemed to be searching for someone familiar, and after a moment, he asked, "There are so many people here, Mom. But I don’t see Granny and Grandpa."

"They’ll come in a little while," Sienna assured him.

She checked her watch. It was only ten minutes before five, the time she had set for her family and Zachary’s friends to arrive. She still had enough time to show Skylar her office, especially since this was his first visit.

When they reached her office, Sienna opened the door and let him enter first.

Skylar’s eyes immediately widened as he looked around. He walked slowly around the room, taking everything in before approaching the desk.

"Wow, Mommy. This is your office?"

"Yes, my office and Aunty Ava’s. This is where I’ll work when I need to handle things for the café and restaurant."

Skylar looked at her desk with obvious interest. "You have a big desk."

Sienna smiled. "Do you like it?"

"I do. It looks really nice." He looked around again before turning toward her. "Can I come here again?"

"Of course you can," Sienna replied without hesitation. "You can visit me anytime you want, as long as it doesn’t interfere with your studies."

Skylar’s face immediately brightened. "Really?"

"Really."

"Then I’ll come and visit you after school sometimes."

Sienna laughed. "You can, but only after you finish your homework."

Skylar thought about it for a moment before nodding seriously. "Okay. Homework first, then Mommy’s office."

"That’s my smart boy."

Skylar grinned proudly.

Sienna carefully placed the bouquet on a table, then showed him her desk and explained where she kept some of her work documents. Skylar listened attentively, asking a few innocent questions that made Sienna smile. He was young, but he was already curious about how businesses worked, and she enjoyed answering him.

After they finished, Sienna took his hand again. "Sky, let’s go upstairs. Everyone is waiting for us."

"Okay, Mom."

They left the office and headed straight to the second floor, where the restaurant was located.

When Sienna opened the door to the VIP room reserved for their family, she was surprised to see Zoey already there with her two children.

"Zoey?"

Zoey immediately smiled when she saw Sienna. "Finally! I was wondering when you were going to come up."

Skylar’s face lit up when he saw his cousins. "You’re here!"

His cousins quickly greeted him, and the three children soon settled on the sofa together, happily talking and playing. At the same time, they waited for the others to arrive. Arthur stayed nearby, keeping an eye on Skylar while Sienna joined Zoey at the dining table.

Zoey handed Sienna a bouquet of flowers. "Congratulations, Sienna. You did a wonderful job."

"Thank you so much." Sienna accepted the flowers with a warm smile.

Zoey looked around the restaurant with genuine appreciation.

"I really like the concept. It feels modern without being too cold, and the minimalist design works well with the classic details. You managed to make the place look elegant and luxurious without overdoing it, yet it still feels so cozy."

Sienna smiled, pleased by the compliment. "That was exactly what Ava and I wanted. We wanted people to feel comfortable whether they came here for a business lunch, dinner with their family, or just to relax after work."
