Chapter 299: Their Marriage Could Be Exposed

"This place really knows how to present Japanese food," she said, looking at the dishes with appreciation. "Everything looks so pretty that I almost don’t want to eat it."

Zachary glanced at her before looking at the plate in front of him.

"My love, you’ve already eaten nearly half of it," he said, trying to hold back a laugh.

"Well... that’s because it tastes even better than it looks."

"Then we should come eat in here again. Maybe with Sky next time?"

"Sounds great. Sky would love it. I want to come here again too. Got to try some of the other dishes next time."

Zachary nodded as he picked up another piece of sushi.

Their conversation stayed light as they kept eating, occasionally commenting on the flavors and deciding which dishes they liked most.

Sienna also planned to bring her son some food home. "We should order some takeout for Sky," she said.

"Of course," Zachary agreed without hesitation. "We’ll get some for him before we leave."

Sienna smiled happily. She liked moments like this, when they could sit together, enjoy a meal, and talk about their family without worrying about anything else. Although the day had started with an unexpected, unpleasant encounter with Jessica, spending the next hours with Zachary made her feel much better.

Eventually, they finished their meal. Zachary stood first and waited for Sienna, then walked with her toward the exit.

When they stepped outside, Logan was already waiting beside Sienna’s car.

Zachary looked slightly apologetic again as they approached the vehicle. He still had to return to his office, and although he clearly didn’t want to leave her so soon, he knew there were things he needed to handle.

"I’m sorry, my love," he said with a heavy sigh. "I need to go back to the office."

Sienna shook her head with a warm smile. "It’s okay. I understand...You have work to do."

She didn’t hold him back or complain. Instead, she reached for his hand and squeezed it gently.

"But come home for dinner," she added. "Sky and I will wait for you."

"I will," Zachary promised.

Sienna smiled before wrapping her arms around him.

Zachary immediately embraced her, holding her close for a few moments as if he wanted to make up for the time he had spent away during lunch.

When they finally pulled apart, he leaned down and kissed her gently.

"Take care," he said.

"You too, honey."

Sienna gave him one last smile before getting into the car. Logan closed the door for her and then moved toward the driver’s side.

A moment later, the car started moving, and Sienna waved through the window as they drove away.

Zachary remained where he was, watching the car disappear down the road. He stood quietly for a few seconds, and only when Sienna was completely out of sight did the warmth in his expression fade.

The anger he had been holding back since the earlier incident finally returned.

Zachary reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone. He looked at the screen for a moment before making a call.

As the line began to connect, he turned and walked toward his own car, his expression becoming serious again.

Three days later, Sienna and Ava were extremely busy that morning because they were scheduled to officially open their restaurant and café that afternoon.

They still had much to prepare, and both wanted everything ready before the first guests arrived.

Ava stayed upstairs in the restaurant, checking the kitchen and making sure the staff was ready for the opening.

Meanwhile, Sienna stayed downstairs in the café, going over the final details and making sure everything was arranged properly. She moved around the room, checking the tables, decorations, counters, and staff while making sure nothing had been overlooked.

Mia was just as busy. As the floor manager, she had been handling several things at once, including the numerous flower arrangements that had been arriving since morning. Some were from business partners, while others came from people who wanted to congratulate them on the opening.

On top of that, Mia had already received several calls from media representatives asking for permission to cover the grand opening.

"Boss, I need to clarify something," Mia’s voice came from behind her, startling Sienna, who had been checking on the café staff.

Sienna quickly finished giving instructions to a staff member, then turned around. When she saw Mia standing there with an unusually excited expression, she raised an eyebrow.

"What is it, Mia? Why do you look so excited?"

Mia immediately walked over and led Sienna toward a quieter corner of the café. She lowered her voice slightly as if she had something important to tell her.

"Did you contact the media about our grand opening?" she asked. "A few media people have reached out to me and asked for permission to come and officially cover the opening. They also want to interview the owner."

Sienna’s eyebrows rose slightly. She was just as surprised as Mia. "Well, you know we paid a few influencers to promote the place. But as for the media, I didn’t contact them—"

She suddenly stopped when she remembered Zachary.

’Wait, was Zach the one who invited them?’

She had asked him to help promote the restaurant and café, and he had told her that he would take care of it. However, she hadn’t expected him to arrange something this big.

"You didn’t?" Mia asked, waiting for her answer.

"Hmm, no. But maybe Zach did it. He promised me he would help promote our place."

"Yes, yes, it must be the work of my brother-in-law," Mia said excitedly, immediately putting the pieces together. "So, I can give them permission to come, right?"

"Yes, you can," Sienna answered casually. She then turned and started walking toward her office, already thinking about the other things she needed to check before the opening.

However, after taking only a few steps, she suddenly stopped.

Something about what Mia had said finally registered in her mind.

’An interview? They want to cover the grand opening?’

She had been so focused on preparing the restaurant and café that she had completely overlooked one important problem.

’Wait. If they come and cover the opening, my relationship with Zach... could be exposed.’

The thought made her uneasy. She knew their marriage was still private, and only their family and close friends knew about it. If the media came to the opening and started asking questions about her personal life, especially if they noticed Zachary’s involvement, keeping their marriage a secret would become much more difficult.

Sienna pressed her lips together, suddenly realizing that Zachary’s attempt to help promote her business might have created a problem she had never expected.
