The Billionaire's Heir I Never Knew Was Mine
Chapter 197: Reveal The Truth!
After breakfast, Zachary introduced Sienna to the household staff one by one.
Every single person welcomed her warmly.
There wasn’t the slightest hint of hesitation or judgment in their expressions. Instead, they greeted her with genuine respect and kindness, making her feel surprisingly comfortable.
It almost felt as though she already knew them.
Perhaps it was because Skylar had talked about them so often.
She already knew Gordon was the chef who carefully prepared healthy meals every day because Skylar proudly told her how delicious his cooking was.
She also knew Samantha was the kind housekeeper who always looked after him whenever Arthur was busy.
Ryan, the head of security, was the one who often played sports with Skylar and even taught him simple self-defense.
Listening to Skylar’s stories about them before, and finally meeting them in person, made everything feel strangely familiar.
"Sienna," Zachary said as he gently guided her closer to one of the women, "this is Samantha."
He smiled at the woman before continuing.
"From today onward, she’ll also be your personal assistant."
Sienna smiled warmly.
Samantha appeared to be in her late forties, with neatly cut short black hair and a calm, capable expression. She looked exactly like someone people could depend on.
"Good morning, Madam," Samantha greeted respectfully, bowing slightly. "I’m Samantha. If you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to call me. I am at your service."
"Thank you, Samantha," Sienna replied with a sincere smile. "I appreciate it."
"It’ll be my pleasure to assist you, Madam."
The introductions continued until Sienna had met every key member of the household.
By the end, she felt much more relaxed than she had expected.
Everyone treated her with warmth and respect, making her feel less like an outsider and more like she truly belonged there.
After the introductions, the staff quietly excused themselves one by one and returned to their duties.
The dining room gradually became quiet again.
Zachary looked at Sienna and Skylar. "Come with me..."
Skylar immediately stood up from his seat. "Where are we going, Dad?"
"Upstairs."
Without questioning him further, Skylar happily followed.
Sienna followed them as well, but unlike Skylar, her heart gradually began beating faster. She knew exactly why Zachary wanted them to go upstairs.
The moment she had been preparing herself for since yesterday had finally arrived.
Soon...
They were going to tell Skylar that she was his biological mother.
...
In the living room on the second floor, Sienna sat beside Skylar on the large sofa, while Zachary took the single couch across from them.
Sienna gently held her son’s little hand. She wasn’t trying to comfort him. Instead, she was trying to calm the rapid beating of her own heart.
Although she and Zachary had agreed to tell Skylar the truth today, she still couldn’t stop herself from feeling nervous. She had imagined this moment countless times, yet now that it had finally arrived, she found herself afraid of saying the wrong thing.
Zachary noticed the tension in her face. Before speaking, he gave her a reassuring look, silently reminding her that she wasn’t facing this alone.
Then he turned his attention to Skylar.
"Sky," he began gently.
Skylar looked up immediately. His bright eyes were full of curiosity as always, but when he noticed how serious his father’s expression was, his little brows slowly drew together.
"Yes, Dad?"
Sienna gently patted the back of his hand while keeping her eyes on Zachary.
"All this time you’ve always asked me about your mother." Zachary paused for a moment before continuing. "Do you still want to know about her?"
Skylar nodded without hesitation. "Yes, I always ask about her..."
Then, after a brief pause, he added in a surprisingly calm voice, "But... I don’t want to know anymore."
Both Zachary and Sienna looked at him in surprise.
Zachary blinked. His son had spent years asking questions about his mother. Every birthday, every Mother’s Day, and sometimes for no reason at all, Skylar would quietly ask when he would finally meet her.
Now, he was saying he didn’t want to know anymore.
"Why?" Zachary asked, genuinely curious.
Skylar frowned slightly, almost as though he couldn’t understand why his father was asking such an obvious question.
"Daddy," he said, "why are you asking me again?" His serious little face suddenly broke into a proud smile. "Because I already have Mommy Sienna..."
As he spoke, he turned toward Sienna, smiled brightly, and naturally rested his head against her shoulder.
Sienna’s heart softened instantly. She gently squeezed his hand, trying not to laugh at his innocent answer while at the same time holding back the tears threatening to fill her eyes.
Across from them, Zachary couldn’t stop himself from chuckling.
"So," he asked with a smile, "you really don’t want to know about your mother anymore?"
Skylar nodded firmly. "Hmm."
"Well, Buddy..." Zachary leaned back against the sofa, his voice remaining relaxed. "I was only going to tell you that your mother...the woman who gave birth to you..." He glanced at Sienna before finishing his sentence. "...is actually your... Mommy Sienna."
The room suddenly became quiet.
For a few seconds, Skylar simply stared at his father without saying a word. It was obvious he hadn’t understood what Zachary meant.
Then, little by little, realization appeared on his face. His eyes slowly widened. He looked at his father again before quickly turning toward Sienna.
His lips parted, and his voice trembled, "Mo... Mommy... Are... are you my real mother?"
Sienna looked into his eyes and saw the confusion, surprise, hope, and nervousness all mixed together. She smiled gently and nodded.
"Yes," she answered softly. "I am."
Skylar continued staring at her for another second as though trying to make sure she wasn’t joking.
Then, without another word, he threw himself into her arms.
"Oh, Mommy..."
Sienna hugged him tightly the moment he reached her.
She carefully wrapped both arms around his little body, mindful of her injured hand, while Skylar clung to her as tightly as he could.
