"We also found out that when Amanda passed through here, she rescued an injured man..."

Adrian Desmond asked, "Night Owl?"

"We can’t confirm yet, but we heard that the man was severely injured..." Marion voiced his suspicions, "Sixth Master, it shouldn’t be Night Owl, right? Doesn’t Night Owl have many henchmen? How could he let himself get seriously injured?"

"Then where do you think Night Owl went? Did he fly away?"

Adrian searched every part of Mist Island, even the basement where he stayed, but still found no trace of Night Owl.

Night Owl must have left Mist Island!

To leave Mist Island, Night Owl would definitely need a boat, and Amanda’s boat was the only one passing through here, making her the biggest suspect.

Although they couldn’t be sure that the severely injured man was Night Owl, the possibility of Night Owl leaving Mist Island by Amanda’s boat was the greatest.

"Let’s go to Kalare." It just so happened that Adrian had matters to attend to in Kalare.

"Yes, Sixth Master."

...

At midnight, Adrian took a boat back from Mist Island.

As soon as he boarded the yacht, Brandon Potter immediately came to greet him.

Brandon Potter knew Adrian was eager to learn about Sienna Johnson, so he proactively reported to Night Owl.

"Madam slept the whole day, ate some fruit in the evening. An hour later, she had half a bowl of coconut rice and a bowl of soup, then stayed in her room without coming out."

"..."

"A doctor checked Madam’s wound and said it’s no big deal; she just needs to recuperate, and she’ll recover soon. Her diet should be light, avoiding seafood and the like..."

The doctor’s advice was consistent with what Sienna had said. Without stopping, Adrian went straight to Sienna’s place; he wanted to take her back to his own boat.

Since his boat was here, he couldn’t let his woman stay on Night Owl’s boat.

Adrian’s boots made a firm sound as he stepped on the stairs.

Upon seeing Sabrina Conner about to follow, Brandon Potter blocked her from going any further.

Sabrina Conner said in a displeased tone, "Why are you stopping me? I have something to discuss with Sixth Master."

"Sabrina, you eat so much every day yet can’t grow a bit of common sense?"

"How am I not sensible? I performed the task excellently this time, and Sixth Master even praised me."

"How can you say that? You were discovered by the others, and you fled back embarrassed. Do you call that performing excellently? Aren’t you ashamed?"

"I didn’t flee back embarrassed; I wisely chose to retreat and promptly informed Sixth Master. If it weren’t for me, Sixth Master wouldn’t have found Madam."

Brandon Potter glared at Sabrina, warning, "If you want to live, never mention this in front of Sixth Master. Sixth Master finding Madam is because of his ability, don’t steal his credit."

"..."

"Sixth Master and Madam haven’t seen each other for a long time; they must have a lot to talk about. Whatever you need, find Sixth Master later."

"Weren’t they together last night?"

Brandon Potter knocked on Sabrina’s head, reprimanding, "I mean before! Now go away, don’t make Sixth Master unhappy."

...

Adrian opened the door to find the woman sitting by the bed. Her figure was frail and lonely, but her cold expression showed resilience. Though she appeared weak, her inner strength surpassed men; nothing could break her down.

"You’re still up so late?"

Brandon Potter had said Sienna was waiting for him, and it turned out to be true.

"You’re back." Sienna was delighted at seeing Adrian. She tried to stand, but Adrian quickly moved to her side.

"Your leg is injured, don’t move."

"How’s everything going? Did you catch Night Owl?"

Adrian sighed slightly, looking a bit dejected. "He got away again."

Sienna couldn’t hide her disappointment either. She had hoped Adrian would deal with Night Owl swiftly so she could go back the next day, but unfortunately, Night Owl slipped away once more.

Sienna’s head hurt, yet she dared not show her agitation, afraid of hurting Adrian’s feelings.

Sienna consoled him, "Don’t lose hope. He’s done too many evil deeds; the heavens are watching. I believe Night Owl will face retribution."

"Mm..." Adrian gently stroked her smooth cheek with his thumb, resting his forehead against hers, saying, "I will take care of Night Owl!"

Mist Island won’t be his grave; Kalare will be his burial ground.

Once Night Owl enters Kalare, he shouldn’t expect to leave!

"Mm." Sienna noticed Adrian was not keen on discussing Night Owl with her, so she wisely refrained from asking more.

Adrian was quite the male chauvinist, believing women should stay home to bear and rear children, and not meddle in men’s affairs.

"Do I have to go to Kalare with you?" Sienna asked.

"Unless Night Owl is dealt with, you can’t go back. Staying by my side is the safest for you."

"Alright then."

Sienna was a bit disappointed but complied with Adrian’s arrangement. She knew this man wouldn’t harm her.

Knowing that Sienna missed her child, Adrian said, "I asked Samara to film videos of the baby. After we have dinner, we can watch them together."

If only he had persuaded her to have children sooner back then, she’d have nowhere to run now.

"Where are they?"

"On my boat."

"Come on, let’s go to your boat," Sienna urged eagerly.

"I haven’t had dinner yet."

Sienna showed him her bandage-wrapped arm, saying, "I’m injured, so I’m afraid I can’t prepare dinner for you."

"How could I let you make dinner for me? Just accompany me while I eat."

"I’ve already eaten."

"Then keep me company while I eat."

"Alright."

Adrian carried Sienna off Night Owl’s boat onto his own. The two boats were connected by a thick plank people could walk over.

While crossing the plank, Adrian noticed Sienna was distracted, so he shook it slightly. Startled, Sienna quickly clung tightly to his neck, anxiously looking at the water below.

Adrian laughed, "Why are you so timid?"

"Be careful! What if we fall?"

"I can swim; I’ll save you."

Sienna playfully hit him, thinking he intentionally teased her, saying, "If you fall in, go ahead and drown."

"Have you ever seen a fish that drowned?"

"What kind of fish are you? An eel?"

At the end of the thick plank, Adrian hugged Sienna close and jumped down. Leaning in, he whispered cheekily, "The kind that dives into your little den."

Sienna hit him a few more times, aggravating the injury on her arm. He was fine, but she ended up hurting herself.

"Adrian, you pervert!"
