Chapter 1247 - 1187: Separated by a Wall

The maid saw that Sienna Johnson was silent, and the two exchanged glances. One of them said again, "Madam, we’ll be leaving first."

Sienna still didn’t respond.

The two maids left the room.

Upon hearing the sound of the door opening and closing, Sienna finally slowly opened her eyes.

The maids standing outside the room were essentially monitoring her. After waking up, Sienna felt a headache due to the effect of the drugs and was agitated by her situation.

What should she do?

Sienna lay on the bed for a while longer before getting up. She looked at the clothing on the bed, picked it up, shook it open—it was a form-fitting black short dress with a V-neck, quite easy to reveal herself unintentionally.

Because of her domineering husband, Sienna had never worn this kind of dress before.

Finding no other clothes, Sienna had to put it on. Her skin was fair, and the black dress made her complexion appear as white as snow.

She was barefoot as she slowly took in the large room around her. The bedroom was enormous and luxurious, predominantly golden, with exquisite gold-leaf-adorned carvings everywhere.

She slowly opened a door and walked in; it led to a dressing room full of women’s clothes. Her hand gently slid over the garments, recognizing some as the season’s new styles from her favorite brand...

An entire wall filled with nearly hundreds of pairs of shoes and bags... She opened a drawer that held jewelry.

Night Owl entered and embraced her from behind, asking, "All of this is meant for you; do you like it?"

"You’ve gone to great lengths," Sienna said calmly, then closed the drawer.

"Let’s go, have some dinner."

Night Owl took Sienna’s hand and led her out of the bedroom. The hallway outside was carpeted, and Sienna observed many maids who stopped to greet Night Owl with respect.

She didn’t see any men... Thinking of the Ancient Orienta imperial palace with only the emperor as the man, Sienna pondered whether Abyanabad’s palace lacked men to prevent scandals.

"How are you in the Abyanabad Palace?"

This was something Sienna couldn’t quite understand—how a globally wanted fugitive had suddenly become a resident of the Abyanabad palace with seemingly significant power, making Sienna all the more curious.

"Because of Gulit."

While they talked, they reached the dining room.

The long dining table was filled with dishes, at least a dozen, but only for two people to eat—a real waste.

Night Owl sat at the head of the table, and Sienna sat at the position to his left.

Night Owl personally served her food, placing it on her rice, saying, "Eat up. If you’re not full, where will you get the strength to escape?"

His words hit the heart of Sienna’s thoughts, causing her expression to change slightly.

Unbothered by this, Night Owl said, "But you can’t escape!" His words sounded like a curse, causing Sienna to frown.

"Why are you so confident?" Sienna picked up the chopsticks; she was indeed hungry.

"Why shouldn’t I be confident?"

Silently, Sienna ate without speaking further to Night Owl.

Night Owl seemed not to have a habit of talking while eating either, so they quietly ate, and the dining room became particularly silent.

Sienna ate half a bowl of rice and some soup and stopped eating.

"Why are you eating so little?"

"I’m full."

Sienna got up, and Night Owl pressed his hand on hers, looking up at her, saying, "I haven’t finished. Keep me company as I eat."

Sienna was aware of her current predicament—she was merely a prisoner and didn’t want to irritate him.

She sat back down, propping her chin with a somewhat tired expression, remaining particularly quiet, while Night Owl also ate silently without speaking to her.

After dinner, Night Owl took Sienna for a walk in the garden.

The environment was entirely unfamiliar, and here, Sienna saw men—these men were extremely respectful to Night Owl, likely his subordinates.

Among them, a man named Siul was openly hostile towards her, drawing Sienna’s gaze.

"Ah..." Sienna’s hand was roughly squeezed by Night Owl, causing her to frown and glare at him.

Night Owl said domineeringly, "Don’t stare at other men!"

Sienna: ...

The garden wasn’t large—it was even smaller than the Johnson Family’s garden. Sienna only strolled for a short while before claiming she was tired and sat on a nearby bench, unwilling to move.

In Sileria City, the weather had begun to turn cold, yet here it remained summer...

She wondered if Sheehan kicked off the blanket while sleeping?

She wondered if the twins were okay with the formula?

She wondered whether her absence made the twins cry?

Curly’s summer camp likely had to be stopped because of her disappearance—would the little girl resent her?

And Adrian Desmond...

Thinking of Adrian made Sienna’s heart ache with bitterness.

Having spent years together, the domineering Adrian had already taken root in her heart, growing like a sprouted seedling... now deeply rooted.

"What are you thinking about?"

Her sorrowful expression made Night Owl feel pity for her; he genuinely hoped she could find some happiness.

"Thinking of my children."

"Do you like children?"

"I do!"

Night Owl knew about Sienna’s four children and said, "But I don’t like children."

Sienna didn’t reply.

After a while, Night Owl continued, "But, if you like children, we can have one."

For such egotistical thinking, Sienna didn’t respond—she had no intention of having children with any other man.

"What would make you happy?"

"Let me go home!"

Without thinking, Night Owl refused, "Impossible!" Finally having seized a moment to capture her, how could he let her leave?

It seemed her way out was either to find a chance to escape or to wait for Adrian to rescue her, hoping Night Owl would release her voluntarily was unlikely.

A lost cause; Sienna wasn’t sure how to proceed.

...

Outside the Abyanabad palace, atop the hotel’s highest floor, Adrian stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing in the direction of the palace.

His woman was presently inside the palace.

He could save her with a direct assault, yet, he was unable to openly and legally lead a search.

Brandon Potter pushed Adrian’s dinner in, seeing Adrian’s silhouette at the window, he said, "Sixth Master, it’s time for dinner."

Adrian didn’t move.

"Sixth Master?"

Adrian turned and walked over, where Brandon had already set the table. She handed a pair of chopsticks to Adrian.

The table was filled with Abyanabad specialty dishes, all his favorites, yet perhaps due to constantly eating Orienta cuisine with Sienna, he found himself uninterested in them now.

"Please prepare Orienta cuisine for me going forward," Adrian said.

"Yes, Sixth Master."

While eating, Adrian asked, "Is the palace’s surveillance very tight?"
