Chapter 2695: Chapter 2694: Divine Beast Incompatible

For those who cultivate the divine path, this place is definitely a filthy wasteland.

But for body cultivators and the heterodox path, it is absolutely a treasure trove of feng shui.

Around are wandering battle souls with powerful wills, and the flesh and blood of the witch and demon tribes on the ground are definitely excellent supplements.

Jiufeng looked around and raised her eyebrows at Long Fei, "What is this place?"

Long Fei told her, "Under Kirin Cliff, this space was formed when the Primeval Kirin passed away. Its body perished, crushing the space and forming an independent space here."

Jiufeng clicked her tongue, "This body must have been cultivated to the extreme."

Long Fei nodded, "Yuan Feng, Ancestral Dragon, Primeval Kirin, they are the first generation of ultimate body cultivators in heaven and earth. Unfortunately, they did not understand the Great Path and ultimately turned to dust."

Jiufeng, being of the Phoenix Bloodline, also carried the bloodline of Yuan Feng. Upon hearing this, she felt a sudden sorrow, as if she could feel the unwillingness and helplessness of Yuan Feng at the time of its demise.

She asked Long Fei, "What is the Great Path? People like us seem to never attract the favor of the Great Path."

Long Fei replied, "The Great Path is fifty, the Heavenly Revolution is forty-nine, and humans escape with one. All practices in the world are the Great Path. If this practice is within the forty-nine, it follows the heavenly order and receives the protection of the Heavenly Dao. If this practice is outside the forty-nine, it goes against heaven and ultimately cannot escape heavenly punishment. Everything is mysterious, foggy, and unpredictable. The key to life and death lies in the word ’escape.’ The Heavenly Dao is unkind, but it ultimately leaves a ray of hope."

Jiufeng usually dislikes people who speak in such cryptic terms, shaking her head straight away, "You people always pretend to be profound, saying inexplicable things. Can’t you speak more plainly?"

Long Fei laughed heartily, "This matter is mysterious and cannot be expressed in direct words. You have to comprehend it yourself."

Jiufeng rolled her eyes at him, feeling a bit bored, "We’ve seen the place, should we leave now?"

Long Fei grabbed her hand, staring straight at her face.

Jiufeng blushed, turned her head slightly to the side, "What do you want to do? I’m not that kind of casual woman!"

Long Fei chuckled lightly, "What are you thinking! I want to go into closed-door cultivation here to cut off the corpse, and I need your help as a protector. Soon, someone troublesome will come in to cause trouble. Be careful and don’t hurt yourself."

"Huh?"

Jiufeng awkwardly curved the corner of her mouth, "I knew there’s no such thing as a free lunch."

Long Fei patted her little face, "Good girl, after I make a breakthrough, I’ll give you an opportunity."

"You said it yourself!"

Jiufeng felt a little happy inside, suddenly realizing that Long Fei seemed to have taken advantage of her again.

What’s happening to her, that she’s not angry at all, letting him hold her hand and touch her face?

She felt a bit irritated, thinking to herself that she must have lost her mind, being bewitched by this man.

She followed Long Fei forward and soon saw a vast Blood Sea.

Within were bubbling blood cells, and above the Blood Sea, a blood mist rose.

Long Fei told Jiufeng, "This is where the flesh and blood of the Primeval Kirin transformed. Back then, the witch and demon tribes forged their bodies here. After the great battle, it also merged with much Essence Blood of Great Demons and Great Witches. The evil energy in just one drop of this blood could kill all the people in a city."

Jiufeng stood aside, feeling the boundless evil energy of the blood mist, which was undoubtedly the most potent yang-based evil in the Yang Realm.

The only thing that could counter this Blood Sea is the extremely yin Netherworld Sea.

Jiufeng’s skin was stained by the blood mist, and though her body was extraordinary, she still felt some stinging and heat.

Long Fei, however, walked inside. As his body entered the Blood Sea, billowing white mist immediately rose, like a red-hot iron being plunged into water, causing the surrounding blood to boil.

Jiufeng could feel that Long Fei also felt the pain.

He was breaking out in a cold sweat on his forehead, not unlike enduring Heavenly Thunder during an Immortal Tribulation.

Yet, he resolutely went in, enduring pain that ordinary people couldn’t bear, continually being torn by the yang-based evil energy in the Blood Sea.

Jiufeng’s heart skipped a beat, involuntarily feeling a pang for this man.

Where here is a Blood Sea, it is clearly lava.

After Long Fei’s body was fully submerged in the Blood Sea, it quickly disappeared from sight.

Jiufeng anxiously waited on the shore, remembering that Long Fei told her earlier that someone bothersome would come soon.

She vigilantly enveloped the surroundings with her Divine Sense, also summoning the Heavenly Fire Radiance Sword that Long Fei gave her.

After a while, a fierce wind suddenly rose in the area.

Sure enough, something was approaching, emitting a long howl that made the entire small space tremble.

Jiufeng’s eyes stared in the direction of the roar and soon saw a monster emerge from the blood mist.

This monster gazed at her with eyes like torches, fixed intently on her.

Jiufeng was startled, not expecting something alive to be here.

The creature seemed to be the master of this place, continually tossing the corpses of the witch and demon tribes on the ground into its mouth as it moved.

It looked peculiar, with a head like a Kylin yet with two horns. Its body was like an Azure Dragon yet had four limbs. Its back was like a Mystic Turtle, yet its belly lacked a shell. It was covered in bright red feathers, resembling a Phoenix.

Jiufeng, being knowledgeable, couldn’t immediately identify the name of this creature.

The creature, however, called out her name, "Great Witch Jiufeng, what brings you to Kirin Cliff?"

Jiufeng tightened her eyebrows, raising her Longsword and asked, "Who are you? Since when has Kirin Cliff been yours?"

The monster chuckled coldly, "Ignorant, I am the mount of the Yuanshi Celestial Venerable, Incompatible, responsible for watching over Kirin Cliff."

"Incompatible?"

Jiufeng was taken aback, having heard the name of this Divine Beast before.

The Saint Yuanshi Celestial Venerable’s mount, which was lent to Jiang Ziya during the Divine Enthronement, had unexpectedly appeared here now.

This Incompatible sniffed, its eyes piercing through the red mist to the Blood Sea, suddenly spewing two bouts of fiery air in agitation, "There’s someone in this Blood Sea, capable of disrupting my Heavenly Sight, which shows some skill."

Jiufeng sternly shouted at it, "My friend came here to seek an opportunity for a breakthrough. We are all born of Spiritual Objects, oppressed by others, barely surviving in this world. I ask you to make an exception."

Incompatible said, "I cannot make an exception; this is the opportunity I need for my breakthrough. If he takes it, I won’t have a chance to rise again in my lifetime."

It stepped forward, casually strolling, as if its stride could crack the very space.

Jiufeng’s body was enveloped in a flame that offset this tyrannical aura and curiously asked, "If it’s your opportunity, why haven’t you used it sooner?"

Incompatible angrily said, "My strength is insufficient, and the time is not yet ripe. Perhaps in a thousand years, perhaps ten thousand. In any case, everything here belongs to me, and anyone who touches it will die!"

Jiufeng initially pitied it, feeling a bit guilty about Long Fei seizing its opportunity.

But with such a domineering claim by Incompatible, it was too much.

Opportunities in the world are meant for those who have the means to seize them.

Just because you arrived here first doesn’t mean you can monopolize it and prevent others from using it.

This is akin to occupying a toilet without using it, deliberately wasting resources.

She and Incompatible exchanged a light shout, "If you lack the skill, you can’t blame us. If you want to stop my friend, you’ll have to get through me first!"
