Chapter 51: A Satisfying Punishment
Chapter 51: Chapter 51: A Satisfying Punishment
Outside the Bloody City Teleportation Gate.
Zhou Yangming stood with several Class-Changed experts above Lv30. Behind them was the raid team containing the Su Family siblings, who were next in line to enter the Teleportation Gate.
Zhou Yangming was considered a well-known figure in Divine Strategy City, so such a grand lineup naturally attracted the attention of a crowd of onlookers. He had no intention of hiding it either. He planned to publicly crush that small guild’s spirit next, so the more onlookers, the better.
However, seeing no activity from the Teleportation Gate for a long time, an impatient look inevitably surfaced on Zhou Yangming’s face.
"It’s been an hour already, hasn’t it?"
"Yes," an expert standing behind Zhou Yangming immediately replied. "It’s been an hour since that small guild went in."
Hearing this, Zhou Yangming couldn’t help but shake his head. Although one hour wasn’t enough for the infection rate to reach 100%, the resulting debuffs would already be quite terrifying. Within the Hanlong Guild, completing a raid within an hour was the most basic requirement, but these messy small guilds clearly lacked the professionalism of their Hanlong Guild.
"Could they have been completely wiped out?" he wondered.
Just as this thought popped into Zhou Yangming’s mind, a ripple suddenly appeared within the previously dormant Teleportation Gate.
"Here they come! Here they come!"
"The people from that small guild are out!"
"This is going to be a good show!"
Gossiping was human nature, and the surrounding players looked even more excited than the members of the Hanlong Guild. Soon, a figure was ejected from the Teleportation Gate, staggering twice before quickly steadying himself. It was none other than the teleported Yu Zhun.
"Finally out, are we?" Zhou Yangming straightened his collar and strode forward with an arrogant posture. But after getting a clear look at Yu Zhun’s face, he abruptly stopped in his tracks.
"It’s you?!" Though astonished, he quickly recovered and scoffed coldly. "Are the rest of your raid team all dead?"
There was only one badge; once triggered, the entire raid team would be teleported out. Yet now, only Yu Zhun had emerged.
Transported out so abruptly, Yu Zhun looked at the familiar face in front of him, then glanced at the Su Family siblings behind Zhou Yangming, who were casting astonished and worried looks his way. He gradually regained his senses, but before he could speak, Zhou Yangming launched his attack.
Zhou Yangming sneered, pointing at the Teleportation Gate behind Yu Zhun and lecturing him with feigned heartbreak, in the tone of someone with more experience. "Hmph, you ignorant brat. The difficulty of the Bloody City isn’t low. Even if a One Star Guild like yours exhausted all its elites, clearing it wouldn’t be easy. To think a newbie player like you actually dared to join in.
"Now look what’s happened! They’ve all perished inside!
"With so many players losing their qualifications, it’s such a massive loss. Take me to see your guild’s person-in-charge. I need to have a good talk with him!"
After all, with so many people watching, Zhou Yangming couldn’t explicitly state that a One Star Guild didn’t deserve to apply for the Bloody City. Some things were unwritten rules.
Hearing Zhou Yangming’s words, Yu Zhun’s expression turned odd. "Did this guy misunderstand something?" he wondered.
"His guild only had one person enter the Dungeon to begin with," the staff member, Liu Yu, couldn’t help but interject. Even though the Dungeon wasn’t cleared, entering a 3A-difficulty Dungeon alone and coming out alive was already a remarkable feat.
Thinking this, Liu Yu subconsciously glanced at the raid results. It was this single glance that made his eyes nearly pop out of his head. "Holy shit... This is..." he thought.
"What?!" Hearing Liu Yu’s words, Zhou Yangming froze for a moment. The look he directed at Yu Zhun now held a bit more suspicion and surprise. "You managed to come out alive all by yourself?"
Suddenly realizing something, he whipped his head around to glare at the Su Family siblings behind him. "Well played! You actually dared to give our guild’s raid guide to an outsider!"
In his view, this was the only way this ragged kid could have possibly escaped alive from the Dungeon alone.
Su Hong, who had been worrying for Yu Zhun a second ago, felt his heart skip a beat, and his expression grew solemn. He knew Zhou Yangming had no proof, but the damning part was that he had actually done it.
Seeing that Su Hong didn’t immediately deny it, a flash of surprise and ecstasy crossed Zhou Yangming’s eyes. "It’s actually true!" he thought. With this leverage, he could directly drag Su Mingde down from his position!
His expression suddenly turned gloomy, and the powerful aura belonging to a Lv42 expert swept across the venue. "Our Hanlong Guild’s raid guide has now..."
BOOM!!!
Before he could finish, the Bloody City Teleportation Gate trembled violently. A heaven-piercing pillar of Golden Light erupted from the gate, punching straight through the ceiling of the Dungeon Hall and soaring into the clouds.
This astonishing phenomenon made Zhou Yangming’s voice come to an abrupt halt. He snapped his head around to look at the Teleportation Gate.
"This is..."
"A first-time perfect Dungeon clear?!!"
A Teleportation Gate would only produce such an astonishing phenomenon under one circumstance: when a Dungeon was perfectly cleared for the first time. After the first perfect clear, the Dungeon’s overall difficulty would decrease, but the rewards would not be reduced!
The crowd, who had just been watching the drama unfold a second ago, now revealed expressions of sheer shock. Among the hundreds of Dungeons in Divine Strategy City, less than twenty percent had ever been perfectly cleared. The Hanlong Guild had achieved a 100% clear rate in the Bloody City five years ago, yet they had never managed a perfect clear.
Now, this achievement had actually been snatched by a newbie?!
"You... I..." Zhou Yangming’s face turned pale, then green.
"Now, you can’t possibly say I stole your raid guide, can you?" Yu Zhun finally found a chance to speak, unable to resist casting a resentful glance at the Teleportation Gate behind him. "Why did you have to delay your special effects?" he complained inwardly.
Zhou Yangming wanted to say more, but a cold harrumph echoed from outside the hall.
"Zhou Yangming, how much longer do you plan to embarrass our guild?"
As the words reverberated, a composed middle-aged man strode into the Dungeon Hall, glaring coldly at Zhou Yangming.
"Dad?!" Su Hong, who was already dumbfounded, became even more bewildered. "Aren’t you still on a business trip?"
"With such a major incident, naturally, I had to come back," Su Mingde said, his expression softening slightly. "Besides, I came back at just the right time."
Yu Zhun couldn’t help but glance at the approaching Su Mingde. "Hmm... He’s definitely much more pleasing to the eye than Zhou Yangming," he noted silently.
"Su Mingde! You..." Zhou Yangming’s face darkened. He was just about to speak when Su Mingde directly cut him off.
Su Mingde looked at Zhou Yangming coldly. "Save your breath. I hereby announce that you are no longer the Vice President of the Hanlong Guild.
"This is the resolution reached by the guild’s entire management."
Su Mingde narrowed his eyes slightly. If this old guy didn’t hold so many important secrets of the Hanlong Guild, he wouldn’t merely be dismissed right now. He would have made this bastard pay for his past mistakes.
However, that was a matter for later.
