Chapter 45: Chapter 45: The Small Guild Snatching Food from the Tiger’s Mouth
Inside the Dungeon Hall.
As Yu Zhun stepped into the Teleportation Gate for the Bloody City, the green Light above it instantly turned red.
Before long, Zhou Yangming strode over, his expression dark, followed by several experts from the Hanlong Guild.
Seeing the Teleportation Gate glowing red, his already grim face worsened.
"We’re late!"
Yesterday, the Hanlong Guild had applied to the Divine Revelation Hall for ten raid slots for the Bloody City Dungeon. Given their 100% completion rate for the Bloody City, they should have been fully approved.
After all, they had left two slots for other guilds, which was more than reasonable.
However, when the raid schedule was announced at midnight, the results differed from what the Hanlong Guild had expected.
This was the first time in ten years that the Hanlong Guild’s application for the Bloody City slots had been rejected!
Even though only one team was rejected, this unprecedented situation still drew high-level attention from the entire Hanlong Guild, especially after they learned that among the three guilds awarded the remaining slots, one was a previously unheard-of One Star guild.
This was a direct slap in the face to the Hanlong Guild.
If the Hanlong Guild did nothing, they would undoubtedly be mocked by other major guilds and seen as pushovers. Therefore, they had to send someone to negotiate with this other party, whether it was to probe their background, pay them to transfer the slot, or simply issue a warning.
No matter what, they had to do something.
Within the Hanlong Guild, Su Mingde was the executive in charge of handling inter-guild affairs. He should have been the one to negotiate with this obscure One Star guild.
Unfortunately, he was in Divine Fragrance City handling another important matter, so Zhou Yangming, who remained in Divine Strategy City, naturally took on the task.
In Zhou Yangming’s eyes, a minor One Star guild was nothing but an ant compared to the Hanlong Guild, which ranked among the top ten in Divine Strategy City. Offering them some money to voluntarily yield their slot and giving them a slight warning wouldn’t be a difficult task.
However, by the time he arrived, the small guild named Godslayer had already entered the Teleportation Gate.
As a result, there was no way to bring up the slot transfer.
"Vice Chairman Zhou, it isn’t ten o’clock yet." One of the men standing behind Zhou Yangming checked the time and spoke in a low voice. "The staff must have let the Godslayer Guild in early."
Zhou Yangming narrowed his eyes at the mention of the staff, looking at the worker maintaining order by the Teleportation Gate. After a brief moment of thought, he quickly stepped forward and forced a smile. "It’s Mr. Liu Yu, isn’t it? I remember you.
"I wanted to ask you something. It’s not ten o’clock yet. Did the Godslayer Guild’s raid team go in early?"
"The previous team left early, so there’s no issue with the next team going in a bit ahead of schedule," the staff member, Liu Yu, replied calmly. "Besides, the Hanlong Guild goes in early all the time."
Choked by Liu Yu’s response, Zhou Yangming’s smile stiffened. "I didn’t mean anything by it. I just wanted to know how many people are in this Godslayer Guild’s raid team and what their strength is like.
"I’m just worried about them. After all, they are only a One Star guild, and the Bloody City Dungeon is quite difficult. Even our Hanlong Guild wouldn’t lightly attempt the 3A difficulty."
"Guild information is kept confidential. Asking me is useless," Liu Yu said at an unhurried pace. "If you want to know, you’ll naturally find out when they come out."
Watching Zhou Yangming struggle to maintain his smile, Liu Yu laughed inwardly, though his expression remained completely unfazed.
Even though the man in front of him was powerful, Liu Yu had the Divine Revelation Hall backing him.
Failing to get a straight answer to two consecutive questions, Zhou Yangming couldn’t quite keep his composure. He offered a few perfunctory words before turning to leave. The moment he turned around, his smile completely vanished.
"Who is our next raid team?" he asked.
"Vice Chairman Zhou, it’s the team with the Su Family siblings," someone beside him quickly answered.
"The Su Family..." Zhou Yangming narrowed his eyes. "Have them come over right now."
"Right now?"
"A small guild attempting the 3A difficulty is just courting death. They’ll probably be wiped out quickly. When the Teleportation Gate frees up, we might as well have our team go in early.
"If we can free up more time, we might be able to negotiate for our tenth team to enter after all twelve sessions are completed."
At this point, Zhou Yangming narrowed his eyes even further.
"This Godslayer Guild dares to use such an arrogant name and fearlessly chooses the 3A difficulty right off the bat. They must be reckless fools.
"I’ll wait right here to give them a good beating when they come out.
"That is, assuming any of them make it out alive."

"Go right now?" Upon receiving the notice, Su Yue turned to look at her cousin. "Aren’t we scheduled for twelve o’clock? Su Hong, do you think that guy surnamed Zhou is messing with us?"
"Probably not," Su Hong said, shaking his head slightly. "This is the time slot for the One Star guild that snatched our guild’s spot. Something must have happened, so we need to go in early."
Yesterday, when Zhou Yangming drove Yu Zhun away, it was already considered a blow to Su Mingde’s pride. As such, he didn’t continue to make things difficult for the Su Family siblings.
Given Su Mingde’s prestige within the guild, the two of them quickly managed to join a fairly strong raid team. Today, they would be able to enter the Bloody City Dungeon to grind for experience and Equipment.
"That One Star guild is a bit pitiful. It must have been very hard for them to get an application approved for the Bloody City. They might have applied countless times before finally getting this single approval," Su Yue muttered softly.
A hint of sympathy flashed through Su Hong’s eyes, but he quickly shook his head.
He had already joined the Hanlong Guild, so naturally, he had to stand on the guild’s side. Even if he felt some sympathy for that obscure little guild, he couldn’t possibly show it.
"Brother Song, sorry to trouble you."
Su Hong turned to the burly man next to him. "This is the first time both Yu Yu and I are entering a Dungeon. We’ll be relying on you to look out for us."
"We appreciate all of your help," Su Yue quickly chimed in.
"Don’t mention it." The raid team leader, Song Hang, laughed and patted Su Hong on the shoulder. "You siblings—one warrior and one cleric—perfectly fill the missing link in our raid team.
"We’ll start with the 2A difficulty a few times. If everything goes smoothly, then we can try the 3A difficulty!"
Beside Song Hang, the other four men and women also looked at the Su Family siblings with welcoming gazes.
"Let’s move out; they’re rushing us," Song Hang said with a wave of his large hand, leading the raid team toward the Dungeon Hall.
Su Hong caught up with the team, sighing inwardly.
He wondered how Yu Zhun was doing now.
