Chapter 375: Chapter 130: Just How Many Good Mothers Do You Have?
On the city wall, rows of Soldiers had already formed up.
Archers had drawn their bows and nocked their arrows, the tips already aimed in their direction. The sharp arrowheads glinted coldly in the sunlight.
Two ballistae were also wound, their arm-thick Crossbow Arrows pointed right at him and the gasping, routed soldiers behind him.
Furthermore, two Purple Zombies and dozens of Black Corpses stood atop the wall. A dense, suffocating aura of corpse energy radiated out from them.
And standing at the very front was Marcus, the same centurion who had fled in disgrace before.
At this moment, he was looking down on Blue Crow from his high vantage point, a cold smile playing on his lips.
"Fire!"
Marcus swung his right hand down.
WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH~!!
A volley of arrows rained down.
The dozen or so Soldiers charging at the front were instantly turned into pincushions, screaming as they fell.
SWOOSH—BOOM!
A ballista fired, its arm-thick Crossbow Arrow skewering three Soldiers who were huddled together and turning them into a gory mess.
Instantly, screams, curses, and wails filled the air below the pass.
Blue Crow swung his twin blades, deflecting several arrows aimed at him. Without breaking stride, he charged madly toward the city wall.
CAW CAW~
The Frost Blue Crow on his shoulder took flight, opened its beak, and suddenly spat out a cloud of ice-blue mist!
WHOOSH~!!
Wherever the cold mist spread, the temperature plummeted.
Several Soldiers about to fire their crossbows froze. Their fingers grew stiff from the cold, and the Crossbow Arrows they loosed went wide.
The two Black Corpses blocking the way were enveloped by the cold mist. A layer of white frost formed on their joints, and their movements instantly became sluggish.
CAW CAW CAW~!
The Frost Blue Crow cawed triumphantly, circling above the city wall and continuously spitting out cold mist to clear a path for Blue Crow and his elites below.
Blue Crow seized the opportunity to leap up, his twin blades becoming two streaks of light as he slashed toward Marcus on the wall!
"Die!!!"
His eyes were filled with madness and venomous hatred.
However, in that very instant, a massive hand with arm-thick knuckles shot out from the side.
SPLAT~!!
The figure of the Frost Blue Crow, which had been circling in the air, suddenly vanished.
In its place was a pulpy mess of flesh mixed with blue feathers, held within that massive hand.
Bits of flesh and blood dripped continuously from between the giant hand’s fingers.
And Blue Crow’s twin blades froze in mid-air.
His gaze involuntarily followed the arm upward, only to see a four-meter-tall behemoth standing on the city wall—the owner of the giant hand.
It had a roughly humanoid silhouette, but its body was covered in dark scales and rippling with knotted muscles, giving it an incredibly ferocious appearance.
As Blue Crow looked up, it looked down at him. Two clusters of eerie green Soul Fire flickered in its eye sockets, holding no anger, no killing intent—only a suffocating indifference.
And behind it...
A pair of massive, membranous demonic wings was slowly unfurling.
Their wingspan exceeded eight meters, blotting out the sun and casting a vast shadow.
Cold sweat dripped incessantly from Blue Crow’s forehead. He stared, frozen in terror, at the behemoth, his body rigid. Even his grip on his blades whitened.
’What... the fuck... is this monster?!!’
FWOOSH!
The monster’s wings beat, stirring up a fierce gust of wind as it swooped down toward Blue Crow from above.
Its massive, thick hand swiped out, creating a biting gale.
