Chapter 351: Chapter 128: Lifebound Profound Corpse! Success

"In any case, from this day forward, Lord Lynch is my new master," Cam Leisuo said in a deep voice. "I am willing to follow him and achieve something great. What about you three!?"

"I’m in!" Jack was the first to agree.

"I agree too!"

"Alright, let’s do this together!"

The four men looked at each other, their eyes filled with excitement.

They didn’t notice that in the shadow of an old oak tree not far away, Ghost Yi’s faint, smoke-like Spirit Body hung silently.

The second floor of the garrison.

Lynch was leaning back in an armchair by the window, his eyes half-closed as if resting.

A moment later, a smile touched the corners of his lips, and he broke the spiritual link.

He then turned his attention back to studying the Death Codex.

After getting a taste of converting his skills into their ’true’ versions, Lynch had no intention of stopping.

In the days that followed, he once again entered a state of near-seclusion to focus on his research.

From late night until early morning, he would use the [Basic Nether River Visualization Skill] for deep Meditation. This was the foundation for raising his tier, an unshakable routine he diligently practiced without fail.

From morning to afternoon was reserved for studying the Death Codex.

He repeatedly studied every ancient rune in the codex related to his skill system, every trajectory of energy flow, and even the frequency of every spiritual resonance. He compared them with the existing Magic Models in his Sea of Spirit, adjusting, optimizing, and restructuring them bit by bit.

Weakness Curse, Pain Curse, Bone Spear Skill, Soul Lash... These commonly used skills had already completed their transformation.

Next up were [Skeleton Summoning Skill], [Skeleton Resurrection Skill], [Skeleton Armor Skill], [Skeleton Enhancement Skill], and so on...

Restructuring each skill was like performing delicate surgery.

He had to constantly rebuild the original Magic Model’s structure, implanting a more complex and refined runic architecture. Then, he would adjust it bit by bit until it gradually stabilized.

The process was extremely tedious and complex, and it also consumed a great deal of Spiritual Power.

But with each successfully restructured skill, his understanding of the Death Law deepened, making all the hard work worth it.

In the evening, Lynch would head to the Sleeping Tomb to "fleece" Yenogu, strengthening the Profound Yin Qi in his Qi Sea by a tiny fraction.

And so, the days passed, one after another.

In the blink of an eye, another month had passed.

「That night.」

The backyard of the Lakefront Town garrison.

The moon was bright and the stars were sparse.

Lynch was lounging lazily in a cushioned armchair, his left hand holding the [Evil Magic Codex] and resting casually on the armrest. His right hand gripped the [Raven’s Whisper] Magic Staff, its tip pointed diagonally toward the empty space ahead.

Before him, five burly Giants were spread out in a fan formation, each holding a heavy, giant iron Wolf Fang Club.

These were the Giant Warriors sent by the Stone Hammer Tribe to be stationed in Lakefront Town, every one of them a master at the Tier Two Peak.

They had initially been quite resistant to this job as sparring partners—what kind of job was it for dignified Warriors of the Giant Demon Race to be fighting Skeletons all day?

That was until Lynch made an offer: for each training session, he would provide them with an all-you-can-eat meal of meat.

The Giants immediately changed their tune.

At that moment, without even lifting his eyelids, Lynch rapidly spat out a string of obscure, magical syllables.

The next moment, the tip of his staff flashed with a shadowy light.

"VMMMMM!!"

A spatial vortex rapidly took shape, and the unique, cold aura of the Netherworld spread out.

Immediately after, a Skeleton with pristine white bones and flickering, eerie-green Soul Fire in its eye sockets crawled out of the vortex.

It held a bone blade in its hand and moved with agility. It was one of Lynch’s Netherworld Contract Skeletons—Bone Valor.

Before Bone Valor could even steady itself, driven by Lynch’s spiritual link, it launched a heroic charge toward the five Giants.

"Nice one!"

The lead Giant grinned, swung his Wolf Fang Club, and brought it down on Bone Valor’s head.

"BANG!! CLATTER~~"

Bone Valor didn’t even survive a single blow. It was sent flying by the heavy, powerful Wolf Fang Club, carving an arc through the air before slamming hard against the surrounding wall, its skeleton scattering across the ground.

Lynch remained expressionless and waved his Magic Staff again.

A second Bone Valor crawled out of the Netherworld Vortex and charged once more.

"BANG!! CLATTER~!"

Fell apart~~

Then came the third, the fourth, the fifth...

The Giants went from being serious and focused at the beginning to gradually growing numb.

They even started chatting while smashing Skeletons. "Do these bone racks feel even more brittle than yesterday’s?"

"You’re just getting stronger."

"Nonsense, I’m holding back, afraid I’ll smash one into powder... Ah, another one."

"BANG!! CLATTER~~"

Lynch lay in the armchair, his eyes numb and vacant.

Before him, on the skill panel that only he could see, lines of text were constantly appearing:

[You have successfully cast [True Skeleton Summoning] LV3. EXP +4. Current Skill Level: LV3 (17956/18000)]

[You have successfully... EXP +3. Current Skill Level: LV3 (17959/18000)]

[You have succe...]

He had been grinding like this for several hours since nightfall.

During this time, his Mana pool had been depleted twice, forcing him to have Sea Song feed him two bottles of [Intermediate Awakening Potion].

This refilled his Mana, but his stomach was already churning and his mind was in a state of extreme exhaustion. Yet, he continued to cast again and again with a blank expression.

There was no other way. Grinding skills was just this tedious and boring. All he could do was completely empty his mind and treat it as if he were AFK farming.
