That's How We Necromancers Do Things
Chapter 297 - 119: My New Mom! Lady Moon Priestess
Chapter 297: Chapter 119: My New Mom! Lady Moon Priestess
"According to historical records, she was active in the late era of the Ancient Elves. She had a gentle temperament and an extraordinary affinity for nature and moonlight."
"But," Associate Professor Sofia added, "she was staunchly opposed to the High Elf upper class’s increasingly widespread abuse of Magic, as well as their attempts to communicate with the Abyss in pursuit of greater power. It is said she repeatedly spoke out to admonish them in the Elven royal court."
Gelan nodded. "Unofficial histories record that because of this, she had a serious disagreement and falling out with the Elven Queen of that time—who was also her beloved, Alaviel, the Morning’s Light—and their relationship ultimately shattered."
"No, no, no," the young assistant chimed in hastily. "I’ve read another document that says the Moon Priestess’s true love was the legendary Great Druid, ’Forest-Whisper’ Mario Skill. But because of their different ideals and Mario Skill’s indecisiveness, their relationship went nowhere."
"Nonsense!" Professor Alfred immediately retorted. "Mario Skill’s love was unrequited! Elune’s Song lived a life of purity, dedicating her entire body and soul to the Lady of the Moon and the great cause of protecting the Elf Race! She never had any romantic entanglements! That’s all just fabrication by bored writers of later generations!"
"Professor, I found a bard’s manuscript that hints she was with a certain human hero..." the female draftsman interjected in a small voice.
"Absurd! An Elf and a human? In that era? That’s ridiculous. Are they writing a novel?"
The scholars once again began citing various texts and arguing, and the atmosphere grew exceptionally heated.
Meanwhile, "Sea Song," who was standing in attendance nearby, found her body starting to tremble uncontrollably.
Listening to these humans of a later age, citing their incomplete historical fragments and absurd unofficial histories from who-knows-where, wantonly discussing, speculating, and even "dramatizing" her life, her emotions, her privacy...
She felt as if her noble name, her past, and even her very soul were being publicly executed and casually defaced right here.
She was fuming, trembling, her blood running cold.
’If only it were possible, I’d destroy everything.’
Fortunately, Lynch saw that the time was right. He gave a light cough, interrupting the scholars’ increasingly off-topic debate.
"The insights from you esteemed scholars have been truly eye-opening," he said with a smile. "However, it is getting late, and you all must be exhausted from your long journey. As for the specific survey of the ruins, we should take our time to plan and ensure we are fully prepared."
He turned to Aus and instructed, "Aus, please arrange for our distinguished guests to rest at the guest house next to the garrison. Pick the best rooms, and make sure they are treated with the utmost hospitality."
Aus understood immediately. He stepped forward and politely led the scholars, who were still immersed in their academic debate and seemed reluctant for it to end, out of the great hall.

Over the next few days, Lynch divided his time between disciplining his two increasingly lively cubs and keeping tabs on the scholars’ research progress through Aus.
Professor Alfred and the others were desperate to enter the ruins for a field survey, but Aus turned them down each time with excuses like "the safe survey route has not yet been fully scouted."
But after Aus provided them with more fragments of Elf relics, they settled down for the time being, dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to studying the samples.
They were incredibly efficient. Based on the style, craftsmanship, and residual energy signatures of the fragmented items, they quickly produced a probability analysis report for the "Moon Shadow Sanctuary."
Furthermore, at Lynch’s request, they also compiled a biographical report on "Elune’s Song: Seren Hill."
The report detailed the Moon Priestess’s life, personality traits, power attributes, and even her lingering obsessions.
Due to Lynch’s request, the report excluded all unofficial histories, recording only the most reliable content found in official texts.
After carefully reading the report, a bold plan began to form in Lynch’s mind.
Several days later, all preparations were complete.
Late at night.
Deep beneath the garrison, in the open space beside the Sleeping Tomb.
That shoddy Teleportation Gate was erected once again.
For safety, Lynch had all his elite guards with him this time.
A team of elite zombies led by the Purple Zombie Corpse Demon stood guard on Lynch’s left and right. The high-Tier Four Esther hovered directly behind Lynch, beating her wings, while three Ghost Units, as faint as smoke, flickered in and out of sight within the surrounding shadows.
In addition, the goblin artisan Ginko Wrench stood near the Teleportation Gate, ready to dismantle the Array at a moment’s notice.
Aus also stood behind Lynch, holding a clipboard, ready to take notes.
Avril stood a little farther away, grasping her Magic Staff. Holy Light flowed faintly at her fingertips as she maintained a state of high alert.
And "Sea Song" stood at Lynch’s left-hand side.
Her duty this time was to act as a translator, and in an emergency, she was also responsible for dismantling the teleportation array.
Lynch took two thin wooden boards and a charcoal pencil from his Space Ring and handed them to Sea Song. "Sea Song, use the High Elven Language to help me write a letter."
"Just write... ’I, Lynch Blackwood, a young human Necromancer struggling to survive in a chaotic world, have long held the ancient legend, the pure and great Moon Priestess, Your Excellency Elune’s Song: Seren Hill, in deep admiration and reverence.’"
"Sea Song" accepted the boards and charcoal pencil with a blank expression.
As she listened to Lynch’s dictation, a silver light flashed in the depths of her eyes, but her hand had already begun to fluidly write out the beautiful characters of the High Elven Language.
