"Try to move."

"Y-Yes!"

Hearing Finn’s command, Sawyer scrambled to his feet. He nervously tested his newly reconnected legs, tentatively taking a few steps, then breaking into a light jog. Strangely enough, he felt perfectly fine—in fact, he felt significantly faster than he ever had before.

More importantly, the crushing, suffocating terror he had felt just moments prior was completely gone. Once he had verbally submitted and accepted his place as Finn’s loyal subordinate, an immense weight lifted from his shoulders. He no longer had to fear being unceremoniously slaughtered.

Yeah... absolutely no one in this world can defeat him, Sawyer thought, feeling a twisted sense of relief. It was better to stand beneath a god than to be crushed by one.

Sawyer was incredibly grateful that he, Macbeth, and Erik had survived. Even Erigor—who had been brutally sliced in half by Finn’s Claymore just moments ago—had been completely restored.

After successfully taking over Michael’s soul, Finn had assimilated the Archangel’s terrifying holy power, which naturally included top-tier divine healing. It was essentially a miracle, capable of practically resurrecting Erigor from the absolute brink of death.

Wait, can I actually resurrect the dead now? Finn wondered silently.

Considering his connection to the DxD universe via the Manager, the possibility of replicating something like the demonic "Evil Pieces" to reincarnate his subordinates wasn’t entirely off the table. However, while theoretically possible, gathering the necessary metaphysical materials in Earth Land would be incredibly tedious. Frankly, he had no real interest in creating a peerage system.

Instead, his ambitions leaned toward engineering a limitless magic battery—something conceptually similar to the legendary Fairy Heart or a Devil’s Heart—to ensure his reserves never ran dry mid-battle.

"Hmm..."

Finn rubbed his chin, deep in thought. He wondered if he still even needed Ultear’s Arc of Time magic to forcefully awaken his Second Origin. After fully assimilating Michael’s energy, his body had evolved into an Enlightened state. His magical capacity had expanded exponentially, completely dwarfing his previous limits.

Honestly, compared to the Soul of the Sword Saint Dragon, Kurunugi—which was a massive headache to use openly due to the threat of Acnologia and other hostile dragons—Michael’s Angel Soul was vastly superior. It was incredibly safe to use, heavily underestimated by the general populace, and terrifyingly overpowered.

Why was it so strong?

Because he now literally possessed the concept of Light. He could transform his body into pure photons, travel at the speed of light, and unleash a myriad of holy-type mass destruction spells. The utility was limitless.

Then again, even if his opponent possessed light-speed capabilities, Finn had just proven he could butcher them instantly. However, that technique—Falling Star—was a trump card he desperately wanted to avoid using again.

The core concept of Falling Star was derived from the data he possessed on Might Guy’s Eight Inner Gates from the Naruto universe. It forced the user to completely remove all biological limiters, compressing every ounce of their life force, magic, and physical power into a single, transcendent, reality-breaking moment before vanishing.

Finn created his own bladed variant, but the recoil was dangerous. If he hadn’t immediately absorbed Michael’s divine energy and triggered an evolution, the sheer physical backlash of the technique would have permanently crippled him or drastically shaved years off his lifespan.

Fortunately, he was no longer bound by the fragile limitations of a mortal vessel. As an Enlightened being—half-mortal, half-spiritual—his body could withstand terrifying amounts of stress. Still, he sincerely hoped he would never be pushed to use it again.

While Finn was lost in his inner monologue, Macbeth, Erik, Erigor, and Sawyer stood in silence, terrified, not daring to interrupt their new master.

Eventually, Sawyer’s curiosity got the better of him. He nudged the man next to him. "Is your body really okay, Erigor? You were literally in two pieces a minute ago."

"Y-Yeah... unexpectedly, I-I am perfectly fine... all thanks to Hoen-sama..." Erigor stammered submissively.

Macbeth’s mind control over him had been shattered, but Erigor had absolutely zero intention of running away. Where would he even go? And more importantly, how could he run? With Finn now wielding a terrifying combination of Sawyer’s Slow Magic and Michael’s light speed, escaping was physically impossible.

However, Macbeth, Erik, and Sawyer shared a single, pressing concern.

"Um... Finn-sama..." Erik finally spoke up, unable to hide the desperation in his voice. "What about Angel? I-I mean... Sorano."

Unlike the rest of them, Sorano hadn’t regained consciousness. She lay completely unresponsive on the scorched earth. Fortunately, Finn had casually draped his ruined, burned suit jacket over her, preserving some dignity and covering her lush, exposed body after the shockwave had shredded her dress.

"I can’t heal her," Finn stated flatly.

"..."

The three Dark Guild members froze, their blood running cold.

"W-Why?!" Macbeth gasped in sheer disbelief.

"You three only suffered physical trauma," Finn explained calmly. "Even if I had completely decapitated you, I could have reattached your heads and flooded your bodies with holy magic to keep you alive."

"....."

"But she is different," Finn continued. "Do any of you actually know the true price of summoning a Seraphim?"

"....."

They didn’t. If the spell only required Magic Power, it would be simple. But high-tier Angel Magic demanded the literal consumption of a soul—raw life force. In her desperate bid to summon Michael, Sorano had completely drained her own vitality.

Just because Finn had butchered and absorbed Michael didn’t mean Sorano’s burned life force was magically refunded.

"At best, her body has about a month left to live," Finn concluded.

"...."

"I-Is there absolutely anything you can do?!" Macbeth dropped heavily to his knees, pressing his forehead into the dirt. "If you save her, we will do anything! We are your dogs! Just please... help her!"

Erik and Sawyer immediately followed suit, desperately kowtowing before Finn. Seeing the entire Reborn Oracion Seis groveling, Erigor quickly dropped to his knees as well. He wasn’t particularly close to the woman, but he definitely didn’t want to be the only idiot left standing in front of the White Devil.

"Don’t worry," Finn was calm and didn’t even care about their desperation. "I never said I was giving up on her. Also, you will do anything even if I don’t heal her since you are already my dogs."

"..." Everyone.

Any normal mage in Earth Land would consider Sorano a lost cause. But Finn had access to the collective knowledge of countless universes. He had other unconventional methods to restore her life force.

"Thank you! Thank you, Finn-sama!" The men chanted, overwhelmed with genuine gratitude, ignoring at how Finn called them his "group of dogs."

"Alright, let’s wrap this up," Finn commanded.

The men shared a quick look before Macbeth nodded solemnly. "Yes, Master. We will turn ourselves over to the Magic Council’s jail immediately."

"...Why the hell would you go to jail?" Finn asked, looking at them as if they were complete idiots. "I just said I want you to work for me. Come to my private mansion in Hargeon tonight."

"....."

"...Is that really okay?" Erik asked, bewildered.

"Do I look like a righteous, justice-loving Council member to you?" Finn asked in return.

"....."

They genuinely didn’t know how to answer that.

"...Er... what about the Zentopia Church, then?" Macbeth asked hesitantly. They had already completely infiltrated and taken control of the massive religious organization. If Finn ordered it, Macbeth could dismantle their grip on it today.

"No, leave it exactly as it is. Continue controlling it from the shadows. It’s a valuable asset, and we’ll use it for our own convenience," Finn ordered, a wicked glint in his eye. "Is that understood?"

"Yes, Finn-sama!"

"Good. I expect to see all of you tonight. I need to head back to the office to finish some paperwork first. See you in Hargeon."

With a mere thought, Finn activated his newly acquired Take Over: Angel Soul - Michael. In an instant, his dark suit vanished, replaced by a radiant, terrifyingly holy aura. Twelve massive, glowing golden wings erupted from his back. Without another word, he blitzed into the sky, disappearing from their vision at the speed of light.

"...."

"...Yeah, that is incredibly weird," Sawyer muttered.

The others simply nodded in exhausted agreement. The absolute most evil, manipulative bastard they had ever met was currently soaring through the sky using the holiest magic in existence.

Meanwhile, back at Finn’s sprawling seaside mansion in Hargeon...

Lisanna, Bisca, and Flare were in the middle of cleaning up. Flare, who had finally awoken from her exhausting, depraved night, remained completely silent about the scandalous threesome they had engaged in, quietly wiping down the tables.

But the peaceful domestic atmosphere was suddenly shattered when a loud, boisterous group of guests arrived at the front door.

"Lisanna! We came to see where you’re working~!" a very familiar, energetic voice yelled from outside.

High above the clouds, Finn suddenly sneezed.

"Achooo!"

Finn rubbed his nose. Someone must be talking about how handsome I am, he concluded arrogantly. He was in an incredibly good mood after acquiring his new powers. Little did he know, a massive, incredibly loud headache had just knocked on his front door.
