Someone walked over, holding a guitar.

Shen Yanzhi reached out and took it. Instead of answering Jiang Li’s question, he started strumming the guitar.

As the melody began, a flicker of surprise crossed Jiang Li’s eyes.

As far as she knew, Shen Yanzhi had never known how to play the guitar.

"If I ever get married, the guy has to sing ’Say I Love You’ when he proposes, or I won’t marry him."

Shen Yanzhi dropped to one knee and pulled a custom-made ring from his pocket. "So, Ms. Jiang Li, will you marry me?"

Jiang Li’s nose tingled, and all around her were shouts of "Marry him! Marry him!"

She sniffled, then coyly held out her hand. "Well, you’ve already said all that. If I say no now, I’m afraid you might push me off a cliff."

Shen Yanzhi chuckled as he slipped the ring onto Jiang Li’s finger. He stood up and pulled her into his embrace. "My wife, thank you."

Before Jiang Li could ask what he was thanking her for, Shen Yanzhi spoke again. "Thank you for being willing to marry me, thank you for being willing to have my children, and thank you for giving me a home."

Jiang Li couldn’t help but give Shen Yanzhi a light punch. "Why are you getting so sentimental all of a sudden? It’s like you’re on your deathbed."

Shen Yanzhi answered seriously, "You deserve everything other women have."

He couldn’t let Jiang Li have any regrets.

He released her and looked at Jiang Li with an expression of pure adoration. "Besides, didn’t you say it yourself? That when I propose, I have to sing ’Say I Love You,’ or you won’t marry me."

Jiang Li wiped the lingering tears from her face and laughed in exasperation. "I can’t believe your memory’s so good. You still remembered after all this time."

Shen Yanzhi said sincerely, "I remember every single thing you say."

Shen Yanzhi raised an eyebrow. "Should we kiss or not?"

Jiang Li shot Shen Yanzhi a glare. ’How was she supposed to answer a question like that?’

’The correct move would be to just kiss her.’

A slight smile played on Shen Yanzhi’s lips. He moved closer to Jiang Li, cupped the back of her neck with one hand, wrapped the other around her waist, and kissed her without any warning.

"Close your eyes."

Jiang Li closed her eyes. Just as she was about to run out of breath, Shen Yanzhi finally let go.

Shen Yanzhi took a step back. He gently brushed his thumb across Jiang Li’s lips, a dark gleam in his eyes. "How have you still not learned to come up for air after all this time?"

Jiang Li retorted huffily, "Then you don’t have to kiss me."

Her gaze shifted to the roses nearby, and she asked curiously, "But when did you arrange all this? You never mentioned it before."

Shen Yanzhi answered, "I contacted a wedding planning company a while ago to help with the arrangements. Today happened to be a good, meaningful date, so I had them set it all up."

Jiang Li winced. "This must have cost a fortune."
