Chapter 244 - 93: Red Envelopes, Going to Yundu for Fireworks (Part 2)
’How wonderful. Both our sons are married now. In the future, I can go traveling with Shen Yugang without a care in the world.’
’As for children, that’s their business.’
’If they want to have them, I’ll help take care of them.’
’If they don’t want to, then they don’t have to. It’s not like our family has a throne that needs an heir.’
’After all, she’d been through the hardship of childbirth herself, so she certainly wasn’t going to force it on her two daughters-in-law.’

After handing out the envelopes to Shen Yugang and Jiang Manshu, Jiang Li turned to Zhou Jiawen, who was watching with envy. Waving the red envelopes in her hand, she smiled. "Yuchu, Wenwen, I wish you both a life of harmony, companionship through the years, and peace and joy."
Zhou Jiawen was stunned. She hadn’t expected to get one too!
’I must have saved the galaxy in a past life,’ she thought. ’How else could I have met such an amazing sister-in-law?’
Zhou Jiawen and Shen Yuchu said in unison, "Thank you, Sister-in-law!"
As for Shen Yanzhi, these red envelopes were from Jiang Li. What did they have to do with him?

Perhaps because she was used to dealing with large sums, five million yuan didn’t really faze her anymore.
Still, an income of over ten million in a single night wasn’t bad.
If there was one small drawback to this New Year’s celebration, it was probably the fireworks ban in Capital City. Otherwise, they could have watched a fireworks display.
After handing out the red envelopes, Jiang Li suddenly asked, "Do you all want to see fireworks?"
Shen Yuchu nodded without a second thought. "Yes!"
Zhou Jiawen looked at Jiang Li with anticipation. "Sister-in-law, do you have a way?"
Jiang Li cleared her throat. "Well, I just so happened to have bought a private jet not too long ago. If you want to see them, we could fly to Yundu. The weather there is like spring all year round."
Hearing this, Jing Shiyun sighed. "I think I’ll sit this one out. It’s not easy for me to get around, and I’d only hold you back."
Jiang Bowen, who had been rubbing his hands in excitement, immediately piped up when he heard Jing Shiyun. "If you’re not going, then I’m not going either."
Shen Yugang made the final decision. "How about this: the four of you go. We old folks will stay home and play mahjong. Just give us a video call when the fireworks start."
Jiang Manshu nodded in agreement. "That’s right, you all go ahead. With us around, you probably wouldn’t be able to let loose and have fun anyway."
’She wasn’t some wicked mother-in-law who insisted her children stay by her side during the New Year.’
Once it was confirmed that Jiang Bowen and the others weren’t going, Jiang Li had Xie Wan apply for a flight path and contact an available pilot.
It was true she had a private jet, but without a pilot, it was as useless as a car without a driver—just a lifeless object.
After hanging up, Jiang Li looked at Zhou Jiawen. "Do you two have anything to pack? If you do, you should head back and get it now."
Zhou Jiawen nodded. "Of course we do!"
’We’re going to Yundu! I have to bring at least a few cute dresses to get some amazing photos,’ she thought.
After Zhou Jiawen and her husband left, Jing Shiyun yawned. "I can’t take it anymore. I’m getting old and can’t stay up this late. Let’s head back, too."
Jiang Bowen immediately stood up, walked behind Jing Shiyun to push her wheelchair, and looked over at Shen Yugang with a nod. "Brother Shen, we’ll head back first, then. Let’s catch up tomorrow."
Shen Yugang yawned as well, tears welling in his eyes. "Alright, we’re heading back too."
Jiang Manshu made a calling gesture with her hand. "Sister Yun, let’s talk on the phone tomorrow."
Jing Shiyun nodded. "No problem."
In an instant, the once-lively living room was empty save for Jiang Li and Shen Yanzhi.
Jiang Li sighed and tilted her chin upward. "Come on, let’s go upstairs and pack."
But while she said "pack," it was actually Shen Yanzhi who did the packing while she sat to the side, counting the money from her red envelopes.
The eight red envelopes were all very thick. Jiang Li spent a long time counting, and in total, she had 200,000 yuan.
Jiang Bowen and Jing Shiyun each gave 20,000 yuan, while Shen Yugang and Jiang Manshu each gave 30,000.
Perhaps everyone has the same dream: to sleep until you wake up naturally and count money until your hands cramp.
Now that her hand was actually cramping, Jiang Li silently swore to herself: ’I’m never doing something as dumb as counting cash by hand again. This is inhuman work.’
She put all the cash into the safe, then pulled a red envelope she had prepared for Shen Yanzhi from the nightstand drawer. Walking over to where he was zipping up a suitcase, she said, "Here, this is for you."
Shen Yanzhi raised an eyebrow. "I get one, too?"
Jiang Li nodded. "Of course!"
Shen Yanzhi weighed the envelope in his hand. After noting it felt a little light, he accepted it without hesitation. "In that case, my sincerest thanks to my dear wife."
