Jiang Li nodded in satisfaction. "Perfect."

It was getting late, so she had Wang He take their things back. He would bring the prepared soup and meals to the hospital later. She and Shen Yanzhi, on the other hand, would eat first and head to the hospital afterward.

As it turned out, when the two of them arrived at the hospital after eating and pushed open the door, they were met by Jing Shiyun’s piercing eyes.

Her gaze was like an X-ray, scanning them from head to toe. "Weren’t you supposed to bring us soup and food? Why are you empty-handed?"

Jiang Li explained, "The soup and food are on their way."

Walking further into the room, she then saw Sheng Mingyue.

She was wearing a caregiver’s uniform, stood about five-foot-seven, and had delicate features. Standing quietly to the side, she looked no different from a normal person.

’If I didn’t know Sheng Mingyue was a bionic robot, I would’ve thought she was a completely normal person.’

Sensing Jiang Li’s gaze, Sheng Mingyue looked over, tilting her head slightly. "Hello, Miss Jiang. I am Sheng Mingyue."

Hearing Sheng Mingyue’s voice, Jiang Li finally relaxed.

’She had been expecting a mechanical tone, but instead, it was the pleasant voice of a mature woman.’

’What surprised her was that Sheng Mingyue didn’t call her "Master," but "Miss Jiang."’

Jiang Li nodded. "Hello."

Then she turned to Jing Shiyun. "So? Are you satisfied with her?"

Jing Shiyun nodded. "Quite satisfied."

Jiang Bowen added, "So she fired the other one."

Jing Shiyun clicked her tongue. "It’s not like this is some major problem, and you’re here anyway. One caregiver is enough. Why would I need two?"

’The main thing is having to pay two salaries. It’s just not worth it.’

Jiang Li had no objection and said with a smile, "If you’re satisfied, then she can take care of you until you’re discharged."

Speaking of being discharged, a question occurred to Jiang Li. "By the way, did the doctor say when you can get your stitches out?"

Jing Shiyun glanced down at her leg. "Still a ways to go. At least half a month."

She had just gotten out of surgery yesterday; removing stitches wasn’t something that could be rushed.

Jiang Li nodded. "Then just stay in the hospital until after your stitches are out. Otherwise, you’ll just have to make another trip back here."

Jing Shiyun didn’t agree immediately, replying instead, "We’ll see when the time comes."

’A regular ward would be one thing, but this is a VIP room. The daily rate isn’t cheap—every extra day costs hundreds, if not thousands.’

Just as they were speaking, Wang He arrived carrying a large food container.

Shen Yanzhi stepped forward to take the container, unstacking the compartments one by one. In total, there were four dishes and one soup.

It was all prepared according to Jiang Li’s instructions—very light and simple.

Steamed egg custard, steamed fish, shrimp with mixed vegetables, beef brisket with tomato, and kelp and pork trotter soup.

The moment Jiang Bowen saw the food, his face fell. "It’s all so plain?"

Jiang Li raised an eyebrow. "I was afraid that if I got you spicy food, you wouldn’t be able to eat it anyway."

’After all, he couldn’t even eat a proper meal yesterday. He should be grateful to have anything at all.’

"Sweetie’s right," Jing Shiyun said in agreement.

She then huffed at Jiang Bowen, "You have no self-awareness at all."

Jiang Bowen dutifully set out the bowls and chopsticks, then placed a pair in Jing Shiyun’s hand. Jing Shiyun glanced at Sheng Mingyue standing nearby and asked in a low voice, "We’re going to eat, but what about Xiao Sheng?"

Jiang Li was a bit stumped. ’Does a bionic robot like Sheng Mingyue even need to eat?’

As a bionic robot, her hearing was, of course, impeccable.

No matter how quietly they spoke, Sheng Mingyue could still hear them.

She addressed Jing Shiyun, "It’s all right. I’m not hungry."

Hearing this, Jing Shiyun smiled. "Alright. Well, if you do get hungry, just let us know. You can go eat anytime."

The two ate while chatting with Jiang Li and her husband. They had originally assumed such plain food wouldn’t be very good, but its flavor was a world away from their expectations.

Jiang Bowen wolfed down two large bowls without even realizing it, shocking even Shen Yanzhi.

In the end, Jiang Li couldn’t contain her curiosity. Leaving them with, "You two keep eating, I need to go over a few things with Xiao Sheng," she pulled Sheng Mingyue out of the room.

Worried that other areas might have security cameras and wouldn’t be safe, Jiang Li led her up to the rooftop. "For us to get along better in the future, and so I can help cover for you, I think it’s essential that you tell me about your situation."
