Thanks to My Tycoon System, Divorced, Remarried, and Making Millions
Chapter 208 - 81: Company Cafeteria, Ten-Pull (Part 2)
’If Shen Yanzhi finds out I’m watching livestreams and sending other people gifts, he’d want a divorce, wouldn’t he?’
With that thought, Jiang Li decided she absolutely had to delete her transaction history.
’Shen Yanzhi doesn’t check my phone, but what if he suddenly gets the urge one day?’
’For the sake of their fragile marital bliss, what needed to be deleted must be deleted, and what needed to be hidden must be hidden.’
Shen Yanzhi narrowed his eyes, got up, and walked over to sit beside Jiang Li. "Can I see what you’re watching?"
Jiang Li’s heart skipped a beat. ’Is this something I can let Shen Yanzhi see?’
At his words, she immediately locked her phone, whose screen was still on, and stuffed it into her pocket. "What I like to watch is different from what you like, so let’s just skip it."
Shen Yanzhi replied with a hint of resignation, "Alright."
’He didn’t know what exactly Jiang Li was watching, but judging from her reaction, it was probably something he wasn’t supposed to see.’
He couldn’t help but glance down at the abs hidden beneath his clothes. ’Looks like I’ll have to work out more. I can’t give Jiang Li any opportunity to look at other men’s abs.’
Qian brought over a plate of grilled food. "Alright, our two valued guests, time to eat~"
While Jiang Li had been sending gifts to another man, Shen Yanzhi had already sanitized the utensils.
Seeing the food Qian brought over, he immediately used his chopsticks to place some on Jiang Li’s plate. "You eat first."
Jiang Li raised her eyebrows, a little surprised. ’How thoughtful of Shen Yanzhi, making sure I get the first bite.’
She didn’t stand on ceremony and dug right in.
After all, eating was the most important thing in the world.
Especially now that she was carrying a little one, absolutely nothing could get in the way of her meal.
Qian was fast, but Jiang Li was faster.
Basically, as soon as Qian brought a dish to the table, Jiang Li and Shen Yanzhi would polish it off completely, then wait for the next round.
While waiting for the next batch, Jiang Li asked, "By the way, your cooking is incredible. Have you ever considered a different job?"
Qian’s hand paused over the grill. He gave a self-deprecating laugh. "At my age, where would I even go?"
He had originally wanted to open his own food stall, but with debts to pay and a wife who was paralyzed and bedridden, his only option was to hold down a job to make money.
This was already the most satisfying job he’d had. Even if he had to sell his looks sometimes, it was worth it as long as it paid the bills. A little sacrifice was nothing.
Hearing an opening in his tone, Jiang Li snapped her fingers. "I can provide you with a platform. You’d only be responsible for grilling. You wouldn’t have to worry about sourcing ingredients or anything else. Then, you’d split the profits with the company, three to seven."
Qian was stunned. A three-seven split, and he wouldn’t have to manage anything else.
’In other words, if he made 100 yuan in sales, he’d get to keep 30.’
Before Qian could reply, Jiang Li spoke again. "You get seventy percent. The company gets thirty."
This wasn’t an exception for Qian; it was the same deal she’d given the couple from abroad.
She provided the cafeteria and the raw ingredients; they provided the culinary skills.
Thirty percent might not sound like much, but every little bit adds up.
Her company had so many employees, not to mention the staff from Shen Yanzhi’s company. If each person spent an average of 20 yuan, that would still bring in several thousand yuan of revenue a day.
Qian was shocked. "Are there really deals this good that just fall into your lap?"
Worried that Qian might think she was running a pyramid scheme, Jiang Li asked with a small, amused smile, "Have you perhaps heard of Dream Maker Co., Ltd.?"
Qian nodded. It was all over the news online; of course he’d heard of it.
In fact, he had wanted to apply for a job at Dream Maker, but he’d been afraid he wouldn’t pass the interview, so he eventually shelved the idea.
Jiang Li breathed a sigh of relief. ’He’s heard of it. That makes things much easier.’
She held out her hand. "Let’s reintroduce ourselves. I’m the owner of Dream Maker, Jiang Li."
Qian’s eyes widened in disbelief. No wonder it felt like an offer that was too good to be true. He was talking to the big boss herself.
He quickly wiped his hands on his apron and returned her handshake, his eyes sparkling. "A pleasure, President Jiang."
Jiang Li’s lips curved into a smile. "So? Are you interested in my proposal?"
"If you are, you can start whenever you’re ready."
"Of course, you can take your time to think it over. I’m not in a rush."
’In any case, the cafeteria isn’t officially open yet, so there’s plenty of time.’
Qian swallowed hard. "Can I really do it?"
Jiang Li gave him an affirming nod. "You need to believe in yourself."
Qian let out a long breath. "President Jiang, after hearing you say that, what’s there left to consider!"
’A seventy-percent commission! If he sold 1,000 yuan worth of food a day, he’d make 700. If he sold 10,000 worth, he’d make 7,000.’
’That was more than he earned in an entire month at his current job.’
’What was there left to think about? He just had to do it.’
