Rejecting Supreme Heaven University!!!

Leon smiled.

"You pointed your finger at me while telling me to be grateful."

Shin’s expression twisted.

"So what?"

Leon’s smile disappeared.

His voice remained quiet.

"So you’ve used up your chances."

SLAP!

The sound cracked through the room.

Shin’s head snapped to the side.

For a moment, nobody moved.

Nobody spoke.

The room fell completely silent.

A red mark slowly appeared across Shin’s cheek.

He stood there in stunned disbelief.

Then, slowly, he turned his head back toward Leon.

His eyes widened.

"You..."

Leon raised his hand again.

SLAP!

Another sharp slap landed across Shin’s face.

Evelyn’s eyes widened.

Selena stared at Leon for a second.

Then she quietly covered her mouth.

Shin staggered half a step.

His hand instinctively rose toward his cheek.

"You dare hit me?!"

Leon looked at him without the slightest trace of panic.

"You asked for it."

SLAP!

The third slap landed.

Shin stumbled backward.

Whatever polished smile he had worn when he entered the room was gone.

His face was burning red.

Not just from the slaps.

From humiliation.

From anger.

From the fact that Leon had dared to treat him like he was nothing.

"Leon!"

SLAP!

The fourth slap came before Shin could even finish his outburst.

Leon didn’t raise his voice.

"That’s for insulting Selena."

SLAP!

A fifth slap.

"That’s for insulting Evelyn."

Shin’s breathing grew heavier.

His fists slowly tightened at his sides.

"You—"

SLAP!

The sixth slap cut him off.

"That’s for trying to separate us."

Shin stood frozen.

His cheek was already swollen.

His carefully maintained appearance was a mess.

His hair had fallen slightly out of place.

His breathing was rough.

Across the room, Evelyn stared at Leon.

She had seen him angry before.

But this was different.

There was no shouting.

No wild expression.

Leon was completely calm.

That somehow made it more frightening.

Evelyn leaned slightly toward Selena.

Then she whispered,

"He’s really angry."

Selena gave a tiny nod.

"I noticed."

Shin heard them.

His face darkened even further.

He had come here expecting to control the situation.

He had expected Leon to hesitate.

After all, Supreme Heaven University wasn’t some insignificant organization.

It was one of the most prestigious universities in the country.

A director carried authority.

Connections.

Resources.

Influence.

People usually thought twice before crossing someone like him.

But Leon clearly wasn’t one of those people.

Shin slowly wiped the corner of his mouth.

His eyes were filled with hatred.

"You think you can slap a director of Supreme Heaven University and simply walk away?"

Leon lowered his hand.

"I don’t think."

He took one step forward.

His gaze never left Shin’s eyes.

"I know."

Shin’s expression stiffened.

Leon continued walking.

One step.

Then another.

Until only a few inches separated them.

Shin instinctively leaned back.

Leon’s eyes remained cold and steady.

"Not for money."

His voice was quiet.

"Not for resources."

He paused.

"Not for the best university in the country."

Shin’s jaw tightened.

Leon stopped directly in front of him.

"So save your breath..."

His gaze hardened.

"...and get the hell out."

The words weren’t loud.

They didn’t need to be.

They landed harder than a shout.

Shin’s hands trembled at his sides.

He wanted to hit back.

Every instinct in him screamed to do it.

But he knew what would happen.

Leon had already slapped him six times without giving him a chance to react.

If he attacked now, he had no idea what Leon would do.

So Shin swallowed his rage.

Barely.

"You’ll regret this," he hissed.

Leon stared at him for another moment.

Then he shrugged.

"Maybe."

There was no fear in his voice.

No hesitation.

"But not today."

Shin’s eyes narrowed.

For a moment, the two men simply stared at each other.

One burning with rage.

The other completely unmoved.

Then Selena stepped forward.

She didn’t say anything.

She simply reached for Leon’s hand.

Her fingers slipped between his.

Leon glanced at her.

The tension in his expression softened slightly.

Evelyn watched them.

Then she walked over as well.

Without saying a word, she took Leon’s other hand.

Shin stared at the three of them.

Selena on one side.

Evelyn on the other.

Leon standing between them.

United.

Unshaken.

Unbreakable.

Something inside Shin twisted.

He had come here believing that contracts could separate them.

Money could tempt them.

Prestige could sway them.

Supreme Heaven University could offer them a future that Leon couldn’t possibly match.

But now he understood something he hadn’t considered.

Their bond wasn’t a contract.

It wasn’t a business arrangement.

And it certainly wasn’t something that could be bought.

Shin gritted his teeth.

"Fine."

He turned toward the door.

His steps were stiff.

His pride had been shattered, and every person in the room had seen it happen.

His hand reached for the door.

But just before leaving, he stopped.

He didn’t turn around immediately.

For several seconds, he simply stood there.

Then he looked back over his shoulder.

"You’ll regret rejecting Supreme Heaven University."

Leon didn’t answer.

Shin left.

The door slammed behind him.

Bang!

The room fell quiet.

For several seconds, nobody spoke.

Then Selena finally released the breath she had been holding.

"Leon—you just told off a Supreme Heaven University director."

Leon smirked.

"He asked for it."

Evelyn bit her lip.

"Leon..."

She looked at the closed door.

Then back at him.

"You really meant what you said? About us not being commodities?"

Leon turned toward her.

His purple eyes softened immediately.

"Darling Evelyn—you’re my spider. You’re my woman. No one—and I mean no one—is going to take you from me."

Evelyn’s cheeks flushed.

She lowered her eyes.

"Even Supreme Heaven University?"

"Even Supreme Heaven University."

Evelyn smiled.

Selena stepped closer too.

"My love..."

Leon looked at her.

"What is it, dear Selena?"

Selena rested her head lightly against his shoulder.

"Nothing."

She smiled softly.

"I just wanted to hear you say it."

Leon chuckled.

Evelyn looked between them.

"You two are getting disgustingly sweet."

Selena glanced at her.

"You’re jealous."

"I am not."

"You are."

Evelyn folded her arms.

"I’m simply pointing out the obvious."

Leon laughed.

"Darling Evelyn, you’re welcome to join us."

Evelyn’s cheeks became even redder.

"Leon!"

Selena laughed softly.

For a moment, the tension disappeared.

Leon wrapped an arm around each of them.

The warmth of their bodies settled the last trace of anger inside him.

"We stay together. Always."

He kissed Selena’s forehead—then Evelyn’s.

Selena closed her eyes.

Evelyn smiled despite herself.

Outside, Jade City’s lights continued to shine.

The night was still young.

And somewhere beyond that door, countless university recruiters were already preparing their next offers.

Leon looked toward the door.

Then his smile turned playful.

"Now—let’s see who else wants to waste their breath on us."
