Chapter 1303: Just As Planned
Chapter 1303: Just As Planned
“Infernal Devils?” Metatron rubbed his chin. “Those guys are always scheming behind the backs of the Celestial Warriors. Are you saying that there’s a possibility that they will appear in Artem?”
“A possibility exists.” Thirteen nodded.
A sigh escaped Metatron’s lips before he summoned a chair, and made a gesture for the teenage boy to sit in front of him.
“Even if this is true, the world of Artem is outside our jurisdiction,” Metatron explained. “This is also the reason why I can’t exert my power in that world too much, so you can only rely on yourself to face them.
“How about you ask Laplace Demon, and The One? If it’s those two, they might help release some of your restrictions a bit.”
“Actually, that’s one of the reasons why I’m here,” Thirteen said. “I can only enter the Domain of the Apocalypse. The Celestial Realm is a place that I cannot set foot unless special conditions are met.”
Metatron smirked. “If you just want to meet those two fools, I can easily help you. Do you want to meet them now?”
“Yes.” Thirteen nodded. “Please.”
The God of the Apocalypse snapped his fingers, and a portal that led to the Celestial Realm appeared beside the teenage boy.
“Go.” Metatron chuckled. “Say hi to those two bastards for me.”
Thirteen had already sensed that there was some kind of conflict between Metatron and The One.
However, it was not his place to pry on the secrets of the Gods, who were maintaining a delicate balance.
“Thank you, Metatron,” Thirteen said before entering the portal.
The God of Apocalypse watched him go with a look of amusement.
’I wonder if those two will agree to help you,’ Metatron mused. ’If they do, I will be able to see first hand just what kind of power you are still hiding, Thirteen.’
A faint ripple appeared in the realm where Laplace Demon and The One was staying.
And from that small ripple, a familiar teenage boy stepped into their domain.
“Well, well, well, to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit?” Laplace Demon asked in a sarcastic tone.
“I need help,” Thirteen didn’t mince his words, and simply stated the reason for his visit. “Please release one of my restrictions.”
He wanted to tell them to lift all of his restrictions, but he knew that this was just a foolish thought.
Since he didn’t want to waste time, he went straight to the matter and explained his worry about the interference of the Infernal Race.
After hearing Thirteen’s explanation, Laplace Demon’s playful gaze became solemn. He then glanced at the giant sun above his head, which represented the God of the Wanderers.
“I’m curious, if I were to release one of your seals, which one would you like to be lifted?” The One asked. “The last time, you had Item Ban removed, and you summoned the Vault of Heaven. Do you plan to have this restriction lifted once more?”
“Yes,” Thirteen answered without hesitation.
“I knew you would say that,” The One replied. “Unfortunately, the chains that bound that restriction have grown weak. If I lift it once more, there is a possibility that it will be permanently undone.”
Thirteen didn’t bat an eye and decided to say another option. “Then remove the Skill Ban.”
“I can’t, you will be too powerful if I do that,” The One replied. “Systems have access to countless Skills. What if you used a Divine Skill? Your body will not be able to take it, and you will implode.
“Also, even if you don’t implode, the Gods will definitely hold you accountable if you used such a skill.”
“Then unseal the Avatar Ban,” Thirteen stated.
“No.” The One rejected. “Systems have countless Avatars. I wouldn’t be surprised if you summoned Paragons, and Demigods.”
Thirteen blinked because the God of Wanderers was right.
One of his plans was to summon the Avatars of Paragons, and Demigods to help him fight off the Infernals if they ever decided to descend on Artem.
What was left was Rank Ban.
Something that “The One” thought as the safest option among the restrictions that bound the teenage boy.
As if to prove that his suspicions were right, Thirteen looked like he had swallowed a fly.
The giant sun chuckled as if finding Thirteen’s expression very amusing.
“I will remove your restriction of Rank Ban,” The One declared. “However, please remember that I will be watching you closely.”
“What’s the point of having the Rank Ban lifted?” Thirteen complained. “I am just a Rookie. Do you think I can become a Celestial in the span of a week?”
“I’m sorry, but that is the only thing I can do for you right now,” The One replied. “Artem is not part of my jurisdiction, and my hands are tied. The restrictions placed on you served a purpose, and even I dare not to lift them without a proper reason.”
“Hmph… If I die in this war then you should look for other pawns to help you when sh*t hits Solterra.” Thirteen crossed his arms over his chest.
“Don’t die, Thirteen.” The giant sun spoke softly. “Even as a joke, do not say that you are going to die.”
“If you don’t want me to die, lift the Skill Ban.”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t.”
“Hah… fine. Lift the Rank Ban already. I can’t stay here in the Celestial Realm for long.”
“It will be done.”
The sound of someone snapping their fingers echoed inside the domain, and a second later, Thirteen felt one of the shackles that bound his soul had loosened.
The One then sent him back to the world of Artem before turning his gaze back to Solterra where a conflict between a Fiend, and a Celestial was starting to happen.
Just like Thirteen had stated, things were getting out of hand in Solterra. With this new set of troubles, The One, and Laplace Demon currently had their hands full.
Inside the Royal Palace of Artem…
Thirteen appeared in the hallway, looking grumpy as if he was a child, whose parents didn’t buy the toy that he asked them to buy.
However, this grumpy look faded away and was replaced by a devilish smile on his face.
’Just as planned.’ Thirteen laughed internally because he got the thing that he truly wanted.
Maybe in the eyes of The One, the Rank Ban was the most useless restriction that bound Thirteen.
However, in the future, the God of Wanderers would realize that he had been played by Thirteen’s acting, which made the God of Apocalypse, Metatron, laugh out loud from within the Domain of the Apocalypse.
