Chapter 1155: Siri’s Proposal [Part 2]
Chapter 1155: Siri’s Proposal [Part 2]
While the meeting dinner with Siri was hosted in Thirteen’s room, it didn’t fall short even when compared to fancy restaurants. His quarters in one of the hotels in the city was still rather luxurious and had plenty of space, granting both privacy and comfort.
The dishes were also personally handled by Hans and the cooks of the Leventis Family, perfectly curated to suit their tastes.
Zion’s lovers weren’t part of the meeting, but they hung out in the room right next to his, enjoying high-class dishes served by the Leventis Family retainers.
“Let’s eat first,” Arthur said as he gestured for Hans to start serving them dinner. “We can save the discussion for later.”
Zion and Siri exchanged a quick glance and nodded in agreement.
As the three of them ate, silence hung in the air, save for the clinks of utensils against the plates as they enjoyed their meals.
Thirty minutes later, they’ve all finished their meals. Hans cleared up their table and offered Arthur some wine before pouring fruit juices for Zion and Siri.
“Well, then. What do you want to talk about, Siri?” Thirteen asked.
Since the young lady wished to talk to him and Arthur in private, this meant that whatever she planned to say involved him as well.
“First, let me introduce myself,” Siri said. “My full name is Siri Florentia Astoria. I might look like a human, but I am actually a Majin.”
Arthur arched an eyebrow, while Zion only sipped his juice. The young man was completely unbothered, having known about this already.
“Are you one of the Jinns who crossed over to the Cygni Continent a few months ago?” Arthur asked.
“No.” Siri shook her head. “I came from the Antares Continent.”
Arthur’s expression turned solemn. The Antares Continent was the first to fall from the Jinn Invasion.
“I thought that the Jinns from Antares are not able to leave that continent,” Arthur said in a serious tone. “How are you able to bypass that restriction? Also, are there others like you who can leave that continent freely?”
If the Jinns of the Antares Continent could leave anytime they pleased, wouldn’t that be a very big international problem?
Siri was here, which meant one thing—that there were potentially other Jinns who could leave the Antares Continent. With that said, who knew if some of them had already infiltrated human society, hiding their identities and posing as a humans while biding their time to strike in the future?
“I’m not ruling out the possibility that there might be other Jinns who can leave Antares like me,” Siri answered. “There’s a back door I use to come and go as I please. I have no idea why The One and Laplace Demon did nothing to stop me, but I can guess that it’s because I’m too weak for them to single out.”
There were Jinns, especially low-ranking ones, who lived in the sea and managed to travel around the world.
But they were only Rank 1 up to Rank 4, which wasn’t too big a threat for the Wanderers crossing the sea.
Thirteen and his crew had an encounter with them in the past, and they were able to deal with them quickly and efficiently.
But Majins like Siri, who looked very much like humans, possessed threat far greater than the Jinns that were currently roaming the seas of the world.
“Well then, did you come and ask us to talk in private so we can keep your existence a secret?” Arthur asked.
“Not really, but if you can, that will be greatly appreciated,” Siri answered. “The reason why I asked to have a private meeting is because my mother wished to form a cooperation with the Wanderers, particularly the Leventis Family.”
“Does your mother hold a high position in Antares?” Arthur inquired.
“Yes.” Siri nodded. “She is one of the three rulers who govern the continent.”
Thirteen made a gesture for Hans to refill his glass as he listened to Siri’s explanation.
“Right now, there is no Majin Prince or Princess in Antares,” Siri added. “But there are many Rank 9 Sovereigns. If you are able to help us defeat them, we promise to let the Wanderers return and repopulate the land.”
Arthur glanced at his no-good grandson, who was casually sipping his fruit juice without saying a word.
“Zion, what do you think?” Arthur asked. “Should we accept this young lady’s proposal?”
“We still haven’t beaten the Artemians, so it is still too early for this kind of talk,” Thirteen replied. “But it is something we can consider after the war ends. Actually, I already planned to negotiate with the Earth Dragons to allow the Dvalinn Federation to reclaim more land, where they could rebuild their homes and cities.”
“Are you saying that humans and Jinns should co-exist?” Arthur inquired. “Are you serious about this?”
“Why not?” Thirteen asked. “Of course, it will not be easy. But if we don’t start, nothing will change. Do not forget that there are already several cities and kingdoms where Jinns and humans live together in Solterra.
“Since there is already a precedent, what’s stopping us from copying their example? As long as rules are followed, I’m sure that the humans of this world and the Jinns could form good ties with each other.
“In fact, the Succubus Race alone can easily fit our society and fix the population problem of most cities.”
Arthur didn’t comment on this matter, but he had heard some rumors that some of the Wanderers and the Soldiers had gotten close to the Succubus Race as of late.
In fact, Lady Ristella of the Velmoria Royal Family had secretly contacted Arthur for a possible marriage alliance.
Of course, he still needed to discuss the details with to Zion.
But Lady Ristella said that all they needed to do was tie Zion on the bed and make Princess Xynalia chug a pint of aphrodisiac—after a night, the rice would be cooked automatically.
Arthur didn’t know if he should laugh or cry at the woman’s daring move.
For now, he said that he would think about it and inform Zion of her wish to form a marriage alliance with their faction.
Siri drank a bit of her fruit juice as if to wet her throat before saying something that made Thirteen and Arthur look at her in surprise.
“To prove our sincerity regarding this alliance, she suggested that I become engaged to Zion’s older brother, Mikhail Leventis,” Siri said with a tinge of red creeping on her cheeks. “If possible, I want you to please consider this engagement seriously.”
Hans glanced at the other waiters inside the room as if telling them that if this matter became known to the public, he would personally silence them for life.
Knowing that they had heard some sensitive information, the waiters all made a gesture, as if making a promise to not spread this news to others.
The corner of Thirteen’s lips curled up. Judging by the blush on Siri’s face right now, it was certain that she didn’t oppose being engaged to Mikhail, who was considered the most handsome Wanderer of his generation.
