System: I Can Open Martial Arts Chests
Chapter 703 - 383: The Villain
Chapter 703: Chapter 383: The Villain
The visitor appeared extremely disheveled and incredibly miserable.
His clothing was already soaked with blood, especially his face, which had been sliced open by a blade, revealing flipped flesh covered seemingly with some sort of medicine to help stem bleeding and promote healing.
It was clearly not done out of goodwill, but rather to prolong his torment.
The gray-clothed old man, Xing Shan, seeing this, couldn’t help but slightly darken his expression, releasing the middle-aged man’s sword and saying to him:
"That child is fine, what’s on his face isn’t fatal. It will dissipate on its own in at most an hour; you need not worry."
The middle-aged man was taken aback, instinctively asking:
"How do you know?"
Xing Shan glanced at him, making the middle-aged man immediately feel he had misspoken. He hurriedly cupped his fists and said:
"Thank you for your guidance, senior."
True or false, the truth would be evident in an hour.
By now, the individual who had just cried for help had arrived nearby.
After scanning everyone, his gaze fell on Jiang Qianliu, and his expression changed dramatically:
"You’re Jiang Qianliu from the Profound Mystery Sect!? How could you end up like this?"
Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man’s face immediately changed.
Although he didn’t know who Jiang Qianliu was, the fame of the Profound Mystery Sect was something he couldn’t be unaware of.
One of the Nine Great Forces of Lingbei—what a high-ranking existence—yet this young man managed to capture him.
And judging by the circumstances, Jiang Qianliu in his hands was shown no courtesy, forced to scavenge from the ground like a stray dog.
If the Profound Mystery Sect learned of this, who knows what might happen?
Who on earth is this person? Why so bold and reckless?
At this point, Jiang Qianliu looked at the person before him, seemingly recognizing him before speaking hesitantly:
"Mu Chunyu? Are you Mu Chunyu of the Unpolished Sword?"
Chu Qing heard this name and it sounded somewhat familiar, after a moment’s reflection, he remembered.
The Valley Master Han Yiren had once mentioned to him that Knife King Li Shengxing had three close friends, the four were collectively known as the Four Friends of Cyan Mountain.
Besides Li Shengxing, the remaining three were Mu Chunyu of the Unpolished Sword, Tong Jinglai of the Smoke Wave Hand, and Fairy Liao Qingcheng.
Chu Qing initially thought these individuals might also be connected with the Mirror of Sin, and thus paid quite a bit of attention to their situation.
However, he later discovered that they seemed unaware of Li Shengxing’s secret actions, so didn’t pay it much mind afterward.
Unexpectedly, today he would meet Mu Chunyu of the Unpolished Sword here.
Moreover...what happened to him?
Curiosity stirred within him, he looked toward the distant forest.
There were people in the woods, having followed Mu Chunyu, three in total, their martial arts were not weak.
Xing Shan’s gaze also swept through the forest, clearly noticing the newcomers, and without waiting for Mu Chunyu and Jiang Qianliu to reminisce, Xing Shan had already asked:
"Who is it that’s chasing you?"
Mu Chunyu, upon hearing this, seemed to awaken from a dream, hurriedly replied:
"Villains, they’re great villains! Help me, I’m begging you, please help me!!"
The middle-aged man felt his scalp prickling.
The Four Friends of Cyan Mountain had some notoriety in the martial world, yet he didn’t know what kind of people could scare them like this?
Secretly observing, he noticed the old man’s expression was calm, faintly tainted with anger.
As for Chu Qing and the others, they seemed completely indifferent, eating and drinking, as if not at all concerned about the current situation.
The middle-aged man only felt like a sheep entering a wolf’s den in the present company.
Feeling terrified by everyone.
He wanted to leave but was worried about his disciple’s injuries.
Though Xing Shan had assured him the injuries were not serious and would heal in an hour...who’s to say if he really meant it?
The old man’s mouth twitched, but this was a matter of life and death, not to be taken lightly.
He found himself in a dilemma.
Xing Shan was amused by Mu Chunyu’s words:
"Great villains? Have you ever seen a real villain?"
"Huh?"
Mu Chunyu was at a loss, unsure how to respond, when a voice came from the forest:
"The things you say, old man, are quite intriguing. From what you say, you’ve seen a real villain?"
As a figure slowly emerged from the forest, Mu Chunyu’s legs instinctively trembled, his entire body shivering.
Chu Qing even suspected that if this person gave Mu Chunyu just one more look, Mu Chunyu might be scared to death on the spot.
And the newcomer was quite peculiar...peculiarly ugly!
Standing less than three feet tall, with an odd physique, he had a face shaped unevenly, with asymmetrical eyebrows, buck teeth, an upturned nose. His two eyes—one large, one small—were misaligned: one at the upper face, the other lower; one eye facing straight, the other slanting.
Truly encompassing a full field of view.
Yet his hair was meticulously groomed; though his physique was poor, his clothing was meticulously maintained.
The fabric was exquisite, and the craftsmanship fine, evidently of substantial value.
And in the worst part, this guy was holding a folding fan, opening it with his four-fingered hand.
Displaying a character on the fan: "Handsome!"
Exemplary strokes, iron-like curves, silver-like hooks!
This person’s appearance could perhaps only be described by the word "handsome," if at all.
Just by seeing this person, Chu Qing naturally associated some appropriate roles.
Two beauties, three uglies, five eccentric, one demon!
Given this person’s ugliness, along with the two others in the woods, they were certainly the three uglies.
The fame of the Four Friends of Cyan Mountain stemmed from their collective effort to repel the demon Ghost Ugly.
Perhaps the animosity arose from this...
While pondering this, he noticed Xing Shan fell silent while staring at this person for quite some time.
