Chapter 568 322: Completed and Lift-Off! (Part 2)

As Sunan spoke, a thought crossed his mind, and a virtual image akin to a light screen immediately appeared before him, displaying the underground location of the Floating City.

The entire underground of the city had been excavated into crisscrossing tunnels. Except for the inverted cone-shaped foundation that connects to the bottom of the Floating City, the other areas had been almost completely hollowed out, leaving behind a few supporting stone pillars.

Thousands of Ogre Ant People were orderly withdrawing.

There is no denying that Ogre Ant People are skilled at digging, working much faster than Clay Golems and Stone Golems. In just half a day, they had excavated more than half of the area beneath the Floating City.

In this way, the resistance encountered when the Floating City ascends will be much reduced, conserving more energy.

The Ogre Ant People quickly completed their withdrawal, and Sunan then issued an order.

Accompanied by a deep rumbling sound, the entire ground shook violently.

The Elemental Melting Furnace emitted intense buzzing sounds as it began to operate at high speed. One by one, energy nodes quickly glowed faintly in purple light, which spread rapidly through the crystal veins to the lower area. A vast amount of energy swiftly flowed through the transmission network, reaching the floating devices.

[Activate Floating Ring No. 1... Activate Floating Ring No. 2... All Floating Rings activated.]

Meanwhile, outside the Floating City, with the gathering of energies, silver-white strange runes began to appear on the ground, forming massive rings with diameters reaching hundreds of meters, and encompassing the entire foundation of the Floating City.

[Preparation complete, ready for separation from the ground at any time.]

The mechanical, monotonous voice of the Tower Spirit Commander sounded.

Sunan took a deep breath and solemnly issued the command.

"Begin separation!"

Boom!

The entire city seemed to sway!

The immense impact instantly shattered the stone pillars supporting the ground.

With a thunderous sound, the surrounding land of the Floating City suddenly sank, seemingly on the brink of collapse.

Some areas on the periphery had completely cracked open, revealing deep, bottomless abysses. Countless fragments plummeted into underground voids. Centered around the numerous floating rings, the edge of the area, with a diameter of about seven or eight kilometers, presented a noticeable circular fissure. The continually collapsing edges split this land apart, seeming about to fall into the underground at any moment amidst the roaring sounds.

However, quickly, a Magic Aura spread out, and with a low humming sound, the separated land suddenly stabilized. Then it began to rise into the sky, carrying the majestic and grand city bit by bit.

[Activate anti-gravity energy.]

[Begin ascent.]

Accompanied by a vast shadow cast down, the separated land floated into the air, appearing like a massive mountain suspended in mid-air.

Large amounts of stones and soil cascaded from various parts of the mountain peak. At many places, the construct bases composed entirely of Obsidian emerged in view, with numerous strange constructs resembling gears appearing on the surface.

The edge of the entire land continued to crumble, with millstone-sized stones crashing down with a deep rumbling sound.

The building clusters atop the mountain, however, stood firm under the protection of the Magic Aura, unaffected by the tremors.

The immense commotion soon drew the attention of the people in Starlight City.

Individual silhouettes soared into the sky, gazing at the enormous outline in the distance.

When they saw the majestic, great city ascending into the sky, everyone displayed expressions of intense shock.

"That is... the Floating City!"

"Unbelievable, the entire city along with the mountain has flown up!"

"Is this the Floating City? It's simply miraculous!"

Exclamations of astonishment arose.

Whether a Wizard Apprentice or an Official Wizard, everyone watched the spectacle in the sky with shocked expressions on their faces.

If it wasn't witnessed in person, it would be hard to imagine a colossal city spanning over twenty square kilometers suspended in the sky.

Before the majestic Floating City, even large Wizard Towers appear like mere toys.

"Such a strong wave of energy."

Rose stared blankly at the distant Floating City, her eyes filled with shock and amazement.

The overwhelming energy storm coming directly towards her was suffocating, even for her as a Level 3 Wizard.

This is the grand power of the Floating City!

The scepter and Fakado were equally shocked.

Ever since the construction of the Floating City, they have continuously witnessed its gradual perfection, becoming very familiar with the city's appearance. But to witness the Floating City being completed and ascending into the sky, and to feel the surging energy up close, was still an internally shocking and astonishing experience.

This is the Floating City!

The ultimate war creation of Wizard Civilization!

"From today onwards, the Star Alliance truly joins the ranks of the top forces in the multiverse."

The scepter commented in a low voice, his tone revealing unrestrained excitement and joy.

Rose and Fakado also displayed delighted expressions of deep agreement.

Having a Floating City makes a world of difference to a Wizard Influence.

Large Wizard Influences like Wisdom Code and the Deep Blue Alliance rely on Floating Cities to dominate the Wizard Realm, instill fear in countless races and civilizations of the multiverse, and even stand in opposition to Divine Spirits.

Generally, only large Wizard Influences possess Floating Cities.

In the development of Wizard Civilization until now, the second-tier Wizard Influences that have their own Floating Cities are few and far between.

For example, the former Black Rope Tower and the present Ten Thousand Headed Bird do not have their own Floating City.

In history, those second-tier Wizard Influences that had Floating Cities invariably advanced to become large Wizard Influences.

The completion of Starlight Floating City marks an undeniably significant turning point for the Star Alliance.

With the possession of a Floating City, the Star Alliance has the potential to become a large Wizard Influence.

Even though its current overall strength cannot match those large Wizard Influences, it greatly surpasses many second-tier Wizard Influences.

Among the second-tier Wizard Influences, the powers of the Star Alliance are already distinctly leading.

As members of the Star Alliance, a deep sense of pride surged in the hearts of all Wizards present at this moment.

While everyone was swept by a tide of emotions, Sunan's attention was entirely focused on the Floating City.

As the altitude gradually increased, the mountain serving as the foundation of the Floating City began to exhibit signs of instability.

Sunan, seeing this, remained calm, as he had already prepared for it.

Instantly, dazzling magical radiance burst from the top of the Central Crystal Tower. Thousands of spells were released at once over the mountain.

Driven by waves of magical force, soft soil quickly transformed into solid rock, and the cracks on the mountain's surface disappeared rapidly, renewing large swathes of territory into complete rock structures.

Within three or four breaths, the mountain stabilized rapidly.

Facing the violent and whistling storm, the Floating City rose to a height of a thousand meters, suspended above the sky, motionless.

Inside the Central Crystal Tower, Sunan looked at the surrounding clouds through the screen projection, a gleam of joy appearing at the corner of his mouth.

The whole process went even more smoothly than he had anticipated, without any issues.

In this way, the Floating City is truly completed!

From now on, the Star Alliance also has its own Floating City!

Lize standing beside him also brighter eyes, her face showing unconcealed delight.

The construction of the Floating City undoubtedly signifies a crucial step on the development path for the Star Alliance!

From now on, even when confronting those large Wizard Influences, the Star Alliance has the confidence and qualification to stand proudly!

"Today is a day worthy of commemoration for the Star Alliance," Lize remarked softly.

Sunan chuckled, and said, "There will be many more similar days in the future, just afraid you won't be able to commemorate them all."

Perhaps in good spirits, Lize teasingly rolled her eyes at him, saying, "Then I shall wait, just don't boast."

Sunan smiled without replying.

The completion of the Floating City is just the beginning. Next, he plans to continue strengthening and upgrading the Floating City.

A small Floating City is merely the lowest grade; there are medium and large, and even super-large Floating Cities known as Star Realm fortresses!

He still has a long road ahead.
