Chapter 360: Chapter 225: Black Clothes (2)

At this thought, the Black Shadow flickered, kicking up a Gale as he charged forward. In the blink of an eye, he passed through the dense forest and arrived in an open, empty area.

A handsome, tall man appeared before him. There was no telling where the man had come from, but he looked extremely young. He held a Black Sword, its blade surging with streams of blue Sword Qi. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be Spiritual Qi.

If the Black Shadow still had his wits about him, he would have quickly realized something was wrong. The man before him possessed the overlapping traits of a Martial Artist and a Qi Cultivator. Such a person was definitely not to be underestimated. But he had been driven mad by his pursuers and wasn’t thinking clearly at all. He roared in fury:

"Die!"

The Black Shadow felt that this man who had appeared before him was a gift from the heavens. He didn’t even stop to consider whether he could actually defeat this kid.

First of all, the Black Shadow was a Tier Seven expert, after all. He could easily tell whether his opponent was a Tier Eight Powerhouse.

Since the man wasn’t a Tier Eight Powerhouse, there was nothing to fear. Besides, this kid was young and unknown; it was doubtful he was even a Tier Seven. ’If he isn’t even Tier Seven, then won’t he be my plaything?’

Indeed, Su Xing’s reputation was primarily known among the upper echelons of special organizations. Outsiders had rarely heard of his existence. After all, he had been biding his time in Cang City and hadn’t done anything major yet.

However, the reason he had appeared here was because he, too, had his sights set on the Black Shadow. It wasn’t because Su Xing wanted to punish evil and promote good, or because of some other lofty ideal.

Su Xing was simply interested in the clothes he was wearing. An item that allowed a weakling like the Black Shadow to take a full-powered punch from a Tier Eight Powerhouse and survive had to be a treasure.

’Maybe I can take it back and have the research department in Cang City study it. See if they can create a version without side effects for me. Then my Defense Power will reach an unprecedented new level.’

As the Black Shadow charged toward Su Xing with a manic laugh, he had the strange feeling—he didn’t know if it was just his imagination—that the young man was also smiling as he charged toward him.

Just then...

The Black Shadow’s eyes met Su Xing’s smiling ones. They seemed so ordinary, yet a wave of terror instantly shattered the bloodlust and greed in his heart. The fear was so intense it was on par with the punch from earlier—a punch that had nearly killed him!

"Damn it! Damn it! DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT!!!!"

The Black Shadow wasn’t an idiot; he quickly realized he was in deep trouble again. But while he wasn’t stupid, he wasn’t particularly smart either. If he had realized it a moment sooner and hadn’t charged toward Su Xing, his method of burning his Martial Arts Realm to flee might have been fast enough for even Su Xing to have trouble catching him.

But now, it was too late.

The young man appeared beside the Black Shadow with incredible speed. He didn’t even draw his sword. Instead, his left hand shot out and seized the Black Shadow, holding him tight as if catching a little chick.

The Black Shadow tried to escape, but that large hand seemed to possess a magical power. The moment it moved, it was as if it blotted out the entire sky, leaving him with nowhere to run, as if it were the only thing in the world.

He had caught him with a single palm. It was important to remember that while Su Xing walked the path of the Sword Dao, it was never said that as a Martial Artist, his fists and palms were in any way weak.

"How is this possible?! You’re only a Tier Six, clearly just a Tier Six! No, wait... You’ve actually cultivated the Unity of Immortal and Martial Arts! You’ve cultivated the Unity of Immortal and Martial Arts! You’re from the Cyan Cloud Sect!!!"

The Black Shadow stared at Su Xing in horror, screaming and muttering to himself. It was no wonder he was losing his composure. Imagine thinking you were up against a Swordsman, only for him to take you down without even drawing his blade. Anyone in his shoes would have their composure shattered.

Keep in mind, although the Black Shadow was burning his realm, he had been controlling it to keep himself from dropping below Tier Seven. As long as he was a Tier Seven, there was a whole major tier of difference between him and a Tier Six.

And yet, with a one-tier difference, he should have been the stronger one. But now, it was he, the Black Shadow, who was caught in his enemy’s grasp. The gap between them was as vast as the difference between a small creek and the boundless ocean.

He didn’t even have a chance to escape.

"It’s not that I’m too strong, it’s just that you’re too weak. Also, I’m not from the Cyan Cloud Sect," Su Xing said coolly.

"Hahahaha! If you’re not from the Cyan Cloud Sect, how could you possess their signature technique? If you kill me here, are you trying to start a feud between the Cyan Cloud Sect and my Jile Valley?!" the Black Shadow threatened, his face twisted in a savage sneer.

"Jile Valley?"

Su Xing murmured the name. It was another sect he’d never heard of. He’d assumed a wanted criminal like the Black Shadow would be a lone wanderer; he never expected him to belong to an organization. And from the sound of it, this organization was quite formidable.

"You... you’ve never heard of it?"

The Black Shadow adopted a pitiful expression, as if he felt sorry for Su Xing. But Su Xing was unconcerned. He simply said softly, "Whether I’ve heard of it or not, you’re dying here."

"Hahaha, I advise you not to do something so foolish. The man from before, a Tier Eight Powerhouse, could afford to take such a risk. But a mere Tier Six Extraordinary like you? Where do you get the nerve?"

"You should know, Jile Valley is a gathering of the world’s greatest villains! Every wanted Extraordinary Strong Person on the special organizations’ list is among us. We have countless Tier Seven masters! If you kill me, watch out for the disaster that will befall you in the future!"

"Heh."

Su Xing just chuckled, not paying him any more mind. The Sparrow Sword shot out instantly, lopping off the man’s head. Su Xing then said softly,

"A weakling like you has to rely on the prestige of others just to make a threat. That prestige belongs to them, not you. I’ll just wait for your colleagues to come find me. As for you, go on and wait for them in Hell."

Su Xing took the black clothes. As for the body, he just left it where it fell, not bothering with it.

’So smelly...’

Su Xing had intended to put the clothes on directly, but the stench coming off them made him hesitate. He wasn’t so desperate as to wear something with such a strong, unwashed scent.

So, he gave the clothes a quick cleaning, wrapped them up, and tucked them inside his robes. If someone were to attack him, the clothes could still absorb some of the impact even like this.

"Sen... Senior..."

Not far away, two men in their thirties or forties appeared in Su Xing’s line of sight. They had finally managed to catch up to the Black Shadow, only to witness a horrifying scene: the Black Shadow had been instantly killed by the young man before them.

Hearing their voices, Su Xing finally turned his gaze toward the two. He had sensed their arrival earlier, but since they hadn’t made a move, he couldn’t be bothered with them.

Now that they had addressed him as "Senior," however, Su Xing felt compelled to respond. He glanced at them and asked:

"Where are you from?"

"We are from Liu City." Cold sweat appeared on the foreheads of the two men. Although the Black Shadow had been heavily injured, it would have still taken the combined efforts of both of them, and a few tricks, to finish him off.

There were no weaklings in Jile Valley.

Weaklings didn’t have what it took to escape the pursuit of the special organizations and hide in Jile Valley, which was located in the frozen wastes. Yet, the young man before them had killed the Black Shadow with ease.

Such strength was truly terrifying.

They realized that despite his youth, Su Xing’s strength was probably astonishing. Unless it was absolutely unavoidable, they must not offend this young man.

Because...

This was not a person they could afford to offend.
